I looooove KTVs. With a bit of alcohol (and lots of sisig), I confuse myself as Adele, Celine Dion, Jennifer "From the Block" Lopez, Britney Spears, etc.

For T's birthday, she decided to invite her closest friends to Party Party, a KTV lounge in Ace Water Spa hotel along United St., Kapitolyo. Since it was KTV, I immediately RSVP'd. (I even listed down the songs I want to sing, categorized as sober songs and not so sober songs.)

We were supposed to meet at 7:30 p.m. but eager beaver me went to the place at 6:30, an hour earlier. (I had dinner nearby while waiting.)

When T, H and I got to the place, we were greeted by a dimly lit reception and friendly staff. We were not able to belt out some high notes right away as the staff was still cleaning our assigned room. And it was not good enough as it smelled like smoke. It was quickly addressed though and in less than 5 minutes, our room smelled a-okay.

It took a bit before the rest arrived. We took it as an opportunity to sing as many songs as we could. We sang songs by Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys and other 90s bands or groups. And of course, karaoke classics Alone and Harana were part of the line up.

There were a lot of song options in various languages. T who is quite fluent in Korean sang some K-Pop songs while I... did some backup dance moves. (The room is spacious enough to dance to the songs. And it felt like Zumba after! I kept on dancing... like a rock.)

We were not able to try the food but they offer a wide variety of dishes and drinks. We all went with just beer since we were all full from dinner.

I went home first coz I had work the next day. But I definitely went home with a big grin on my face. 128513

High tech controls, still new, big rooms, friendly staff, this relatively new KTV at the 5/F of Ace Water Hotel in Kapitolyo is still in soft launch phase. Recommended to me by a colleague when we went here instead of our go-to Good Times or Red Box, we enjoyed ourselves naman.

Minuses--- though cheap drinks, less than stellar taste. Rum coke tasted like it was piss poor quality. So did the mixed punch. The major major major work in progress is the high tech touch screen interface they have. It was tough to scroll for titles we'd like. The best so far in terms of quality and quantity of songs plus very good selection interface remains to be Good Times.

Good was decent. Good presentation and came with the room rental as promo.

Maybe we can try this as a meetup, Peanut D? For the songers kuno (wrong spelling of singers intended). Lol.

We got the room cheap, too.
