We went to Passion for desserts after having dinner at Hey Handsome.

I love this place because there's so much to see and so much to try! 128525128525128525

We decided to order the tarte au citron, which is lemon tart, and a macaron. The lemon tart was very good! It was the perfect ending to a filling meal. Very light and tangy! The macaron, on the other hand, was just okay. I ordered the salted caramel and it wasn't very memorable.

I'm looking forward to try more of their pastries and their gelato! Also heard good things about their pizzas.

I have already tried a lot of food items at Passion. Now it's time to try their sandwiches. Their bestsellers among the sandwich were the turkey brie and the salmon sandwich which honestly costs a lot. Now that I'm planning to tour some more around the area to kill time, i've ordered

128204128525 roast beef sandwich @295PhP
It contains thin slices of beef, a grilled tomato, lettuce, red onions, and sauerkraut (with a little mustard?) the roasted beef was really tender and does not taste anything, but i like it anyway! Because the sauerkraut and onions made that super appetizing taste! I mentioned one grilled tomato--right because it was just a tomato sliced into two. Ang tipid. The bread was multi-grained and toasted (toasted that it makes a sound every time you bite). It's a little sour also.

While falling in line i noticed that they were selling my favorite pastry/ bread-- the pain au chocolat!

128204 pain au chocolat @88PhP
It was bigger than french baker/ lartizan but i just gasp when i started to slice it! It's "kampon ng mamon" (special reference to jai) goodness that hole can actually fit a baby's hand. Pwedeng mittens?! The taste was just okay. I still like lartizan's dark chocolate filling. This one is a little sweeter.

Did i mention that i have to fall in line? Yes! It was jam packed as well inside. Nahiya naman ako to join some in the communal tables, so i stayed outside. The service was more than okay, a server assisted me in getting my roasted beef (after the device beeped) but i think there was a group who complained about their reservation. Too bad for them they don't wanna stay outside cause there were "flies". Not my problem anymore! Would like to try their casserole offerings sometime.

Passion-- I'm sure you have seen some of their delectable pastries on IG or FB... I was able to go to this restaurant 3x this year and enjoyed several items on the menu...

On my first visit, I tried the Passion cheesecake with my then bf. I thought it was light, creamy with the right amount of tartness. We both enjoyed it. Tried their mocha and found it okay. I also bought the blueberry muffin. It's more expensive than other muffins I usually purchase, but I think it's worth it. It's pretty big and filled with lots of blueberries. Though it is light, I couldn't finish the whole muffin in one sitting.

I returned with my mom after our harrowing traffic experience in Makati. I blew off work and we just had brunch. We had the salami and rucola sour dough pizza, which was pretty good. Love that sour dough crust! We also shared the creamy mushroom penne pasta-- I would come back for this definitely! I did put a lot of pepper on it, but I really liked it! It reminded me of Mary Grace's mushroom cream pasta, but I liked the blend of mushrooms of Passion's pasta better. Lastly we shared a caramel and vanilla mille feuille, which was really pretty!128525 Lovely layers, both literally and figuratively, with a delicate taste. I would definitely recommend this dessert.

My mom went overboard buying bread. The only ones which stood out were the olive bread (because it was delicious with butter) and the pretzel (very tough to chew when not eaten immediately; we did not enjoy this at all). They have a huge selection, so good luck choosing!

My last visit was with my friends. One of them was a balikbayan, who wanted to try a new cafe in the area. She insantly loved this place! We just had a late afternoon snack. I had a green tea latte-- loved their version! I enjoyed the macaron I tried, though the specific flavor escapes me. I still prefer TWG's macarons here in the PH though.

Enjoyed my visits! Just remember that it's self-service. They have water, condiments, and utensils on one side. They keep the restroom clean, I just wanted to mention that...🙃

One dinner at home, we had this dessert from Gerard Dubois Cafe. My parents loved their Orange Loaf Cake that they had take home for dessert.

The cake was really simple but the taste was divine. It was not too sweet or that it tasted strong. 128076🏻 It was just right. 128521 It's good to pair it with black 9749

After our dinner, we went to Passion which is located just beside Hey Handsome (where we had our dinner). We wanted to get rid of the taste of the durian we had for dessert and sought help from this patisserie.

The ambiance of the place, even just staring at it from the outside, was so inviting. It's a nice tambayan, especially for the ladies, but dudes would also love it here since the place is serene.

I had a hard time choosing between having a gelato or a "cake". I ended up having the latter.

I got the Opera L'Orange P148 since it's one of the best sellers here. I found it okay. The chocolate was quite dark and thick and I was able to taste the orange from the fillings. It was nice as it added some citrus flavor to the dessert and a little contrast to the sweet and bitter taste if the chocolate.

I honestly had a hard time finishing this small cake. So for the price, I would say it's okay.

Will try their gelatos next! And perhaps some food as well 128522

Lunch date w Mommy. 128111 I usually get excited whenever Mommy visits me and I look forward to where we're going to have lunch. Brought her here since she was craving for pasta and pizza. 128513

We ordered the following:

CHICKEN TIKKA PIZZA.
This sour dough pizza was good. There were a lot of chicken added. There's a weird taste and smell but surprisingly, I still liked it. 128517 But given the chance, I'd get the flatbread over this one. The flatbread is better, crispier and yummier.

BEEF LASAGNA.
This was just okay. Kind of overpriced and not something we'll get again. The pesto w mushrooms pasta was good, though.

It's self service but the staffs are nice and helpful. They'll help you with choosing what to order and will even explain it for you. And oh, not sure if she's the owner or manager but the "owner or manager" was there during our visit and she was very hands on. Taking the time to talk to the customers and will even recommend other dishes or pastries/desserts to try. She was even refilling water and cleaning the tables. 128077🏼

I've been to Passion by Gerard Dubois several times now and each visit was good. My first visit was with my daughter for our after school date. She wanted to try their gelato, I wanted to try their desserts. Their selection of bread, pastries and desserts was impressive! Everything looked so good! Aside from these, they also offer Macarons, coffee, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads and some savory dishes.

We got to sample a couple of their gelato flavors until my daughter settled for the Banana. We got one scoop in a Tulip Waffle for 110Php. The gelato wasn't the smoothest there is in the market, it was in fact a little icy but it tasted good. Sweet with good banana flavor, the tulip waffle had this nice crisp as well.

My daughter also requested for a French Butter Croissant (72Php). Great butter flavor, crisp and flaky, served warm, you can ask for additional butter and/or jam. We also tried their Pan Au Chocolat (82Php) and it was good as well - flaky but soft, with a generous chocolate filling at the middle. Their croissants weren't too expensive for the quality.

We also tried the Passion Cheesecake (138Php). Gorgeous cheesecake that was plated nicely too. Loved that it was smooth and creamy with tangy notes from the cheesecake. This has a nice surprise center filled with thick and luscious chocolate! Each spoonful was sinfully good!

My wife was eyeing this place for the longest time and the minute we had a free afternoon, wifey and I had a late lunch.
The place is awesome, more of a high end cafeteria with a French vibe. They have it all from freshly baked bread, ice cream, pastries, sandwiched etc. one stop shop!
This is the kind of place where expats would come in ... Have a coffee w pastries or ladies who lunch.
My wife ordered the ft:
Cream of corn soup : tasted like Campbell's
Bacon flatbread : good but half was burnt
And crepe w cheese, egg and bacon.
The crepe was alright but the egg white was still under cooked for me.
The croissant was amazing!
Based on the reviews... They seem to excel in pastries, coffee and bread. Maybe it was a bad day but unlikely we will return. Try it out tho!

daughter is 7 months old today so we decided to take her here so she can have a souvenir photo with a pretty cake. and that inverted "P" artwork certainly looks like an "L" (my little girl's initial).

ordered an espresso so everything would come in cute little pieces. the interiors of this place is something else. makes it easy to imagine that outside those doors would be the chilly streets of paris. my only gripe is that they dont have petite little forks to go along with the cake!

Ever since he moved in,  my French neighbour never failed to greet me with Bonjour.  I was a lil coy but gave my innocuous smile.

Figure of speech,  you guys!  I'm referring to Passion.  I finally had the time to swing by couple of days ago.  I heard that aside from pastries and breads,  they also offer gelato.  I initially wanted the green tea variant but they don't have it when i visited.   I settled on the Earl Grey variant,  i partnered my frozen treat with a peach danish.

Lemme describe the interiors first.  Passion screams elegance and sophistication.  From the furniture and the lighting fixtures.  It felt like i was trasported to Paris when i entered.

| Earl Grey Gelato.  Flavor wise,  it is good - not too sweet and has a subtle kick of tea. The texture is a lil off as it failed in the creamy category.

| Peach Danish.  This is the prettiest danish I've ever seen.   Magnificent yellow hue that will surely captivate every human being who dares to gaze into it's ethereal beauty.  Aesthetics aside,  the pastry is delicious!  Soft,  flaky with a decadent cream filling.  Best paired with a cup of joe or English Breakfast Tea.

This is the start of my illicit love affair with my French Neighbour.

The whole afternoon me and Ateng were searching for interior finds and design stuff, while walking along the Fort area, we were once again called upon by the glowing lights of this glass framed facade entitled Passion by Gerard Dubois... Suddenly I remembered all the salivating looloo reviews from all of you here..... So....Thizizit and I can't step back 128522128077🏻10084️ must...try...Passion!10084
Since everybody was literally crowding the display area, we went straight to the back where it got me more hungry seeing the french casserole, and the selection of pizzas hehehe128522128518128077🏻

Good enough, one of the staff were able to guide us through our selections, up to the cashier 128077🏻128522 despite the crowd hehehe 128518

We tried Passion's Artisan Pizza, the Four Seasons Sour Dough Pizza, which was flavorful enough and had generous toppings of salmon, salami, mushroom and chicken tikka 100841008410084️ the greens above it were overflowing as well 128522128077🏻10084️ ohwell this pizza had me at first bite, and the rest of it as well hahaha128518128518128518 yummy yummy!

Next on the plate was the plump and hearty Beef Lasagna.... I underestimated the size which was quite filling in the end 12852210084128077🏻wonderful blending of the layers, not overpowering 12852210084128077🏻

We also tried the Smoked Bacon Flatbread among the La Palette selections, crispy in its thin crust goodness with all the yummy bacon slices 100841008410084️ perfect if you just want to grab something light to eat 128522

For our drinks, we didn't feel like getting the bottled juices on the side so we opted for their mocktails which were also great! Ateng got Strawberry Lemonade, while I got the fresh-tasting Pear Williams 12852210084128077🏻

There's still a long checklist to try out the other mouth-watering foodie finds....my eyes kept sideglancing on the tables around us as I could see pastries, gelato, panna cotta's, macarons! Got a pinch of Lemon Loaf Cake and my it was also good! Oh my, I shall return, Passion!!!100841008410084

Tried the ones in photo (hot choc and pear danish) and smoked salmon on flat bread and the chicken tandoori salad. Everything so excellent. Also tried their gelato, green tea and lychee and vanilla and chocolate everything's really really well-executed. Love the flakiness of the pear danish. Not too steep and you get value for money 127824
