I bought a caramel cake from Costa Brava. It's a chiffon cake coated and filled with caramel. This simple cake was so delicious that I can finish their small cake alone. For Php180.00 I got a heart shape cake.

Bought this for a birthday party / baby shower last Saturday and this Caramel Cake is such a hit . The cake is soft and the caramel is smooth and not cloyingly sweet. Everyone can't stop hailing praises to this cake. Recommended! They are available at Powerplant Rockwell every weekend for convenience of pick up.

Costa Brava is a regular participant in every weekend market I've been to (Baker's Fair at Plant and the one in Aura).   I always get the Caramel Cake for Grams.  Whether by the slice or the whole nine yards.

I happen to be loitering around Aura on a Friday night and I decided to swing by Costa Brava.  I was about to get my regular order when I saw chocolate.  Okay,  maybe a little variety will not hurt.  I got the last two slices they have that day.

On to ze cake.  This innocuous,  unassuming slice packs a punch.  The chocolate base has the right amount of sweetness,  the inside is moist and layered with vanilla frosting.  Yes,  i had cake and black coffee for breakfast.

Side note:

Grams said i should get this one instead of the caramel.  Okay,  one slice made her switch from Team Caramel to Team Chocolate.  Good job,  Costa Brava.

First time we ordered this cake for our bday celebration and I personally got it. It is just an ordinary house inside Bel Air village. You won't even notice it unless you know the exact address.

Costa Brava has a reputation for the "best caramel cake."

For me, i like the fact the taste really brings out the best of caramel cakes. No nega comments. Just pure praises for this cake. 128525

Ohh btw for the details of this cake-- this is 9 x 12 Cake good for 16 persons. Only for 1000 pesos.

But as you can see it's not full 5 stars coz i think Estrel's cake got the best of me. 128077🏻128522

Christmas is around the corner 127877🏻127876 this means endless food bazaars all over the metro, and it also means I don't really care much about calories 128514128055 January na uli ang diet or so I tell myself 🙄

I always look forward to buying cupcakes and other goodies from Costa Brava. Their stall in Rockwell is always my first stop 128525 They are available every weekends thru November and every day starting December 1.

This mocha cupcake is my favorite! A little steep @50 each but it brings me so much happiness with every bite 128536 it's fluffy and not too sweet, really perfect for dessert. They also have the white icing and caramel flavors. Their famous cakes are also sold here, in different sizes 128522

I was looking for dessert to bring to my daughter's family day in school and I found myself checking through the stalls in SM Aura's weekend gourmet market. I saw Costa Brava and it was what I went for. Been meaning to try their Caramel Cake.

I got one whole cake and it was surprisingly cheap at 600Php. Two layers of soft and fluffy sponge cake with generous caramel filling in between the layers. I liked that it wasn't too sweet even though the caramel was rich. It was also covered with a blanket of more milky caramel frosting.

Though this was good, I still prefer Estrel's. Comparing, Estrel's had a more milky and luscious caramel sauce frosting that was richer in taste with more quality sponge cake. Also, Estrel's frosting was generous while this had just enough to cover the cake.

I also got a dozen cupcakes with assorted flavors and would rate these with just 110881108811088️. There was lemon, mocha, caramel and chocolate. I prefer my cupcakes moist and not spongy dry. They lacked in flavor though the chocolate had a really good chocolate ganache frosting.

So happy to receive my surprise birthday cake on my special day! Other than Estrel's, Costa Brava always proves to be one of the best caramel cakes in the country and it really is among my top favorites.

I love the super soft and fluffy chiffon cake and the not-too-sweet caramel filling! Perfect to enjoy over a cup of coffee or tea!

What I also love about Costa Brava is that it can be ordered and get picked up on the same day however you just have to brave the traffic just to get your order since it's in Bel-Air Makati. You might get lost though because their establishment is not a restaurant or a cake store but rather a big residential house inside a subdivision.

Backlog

We surprised our friend with a little something special. We actually got the cake from their stall at rockwell baker's fair.

The girl at the stall was kind enough to put the dedication and they even gave us a pink mini candle. All for only 190.00 pesos.

They had a weekend stall in SM Aura today and were selling slices of their caramel cake for only P50! It was so light and yummy, not to sweet and the caramel undertones were just right. Hindi nakakaumay! :)

Before heading to Gabs my friends and I met here and we found ourselves strolling at the baker's fair looking to munch on free sample-- no, just kidding!

I found myself at the costa brava stall and thankfully may natira pang 'left over caramel cake' - the small slices worth only 50 each. I bought 2 which became our appetizer at gab's and it was pure delight! So good! Craving for more!

I was supposed to get 2 boxes of Polly's chocolate cake for New Year's eve but I quickly change my mind after calling costa brava. I called at 9am on December 31st and was surprised to know I can pick up a 10x15 inch cake at 2pm. I've been meaning to try their cake so I can finally compare it with Estrels'. I consider them as the Nora and Vilma of caramel cakes. This is it!

I decided to pass by their shop at 9:30am to pay the cake and I'll just kill time afterwards but lo and behold the cake was already ready. Who does that on a holiday? Kudos again! +1 star kagad haha!

Now for the cake experience: It's almost the same as Estrels'. The icing was a bit mocha-ish tho. Estrels' is more on the caramely taste. Costa Brava is cheaper and It was good alright but I still prefer Estrels'. Mejo matabang saken ang Costa Brava haha. I also like Estrels' icing more.

The reasons why I didn't fell for it. I don't have the addicting feeling where I would always imagine the thought of getting a slice and smudging it in my mouth. I'm still thankful that they were able to accommodate me on a short notice. For that, they earn my 4 star rating.

Ordered this 7-inch Rainbow Cake for New Year's Eve (and as my birthday cake hahaha). 127874 It's a five layer multicolored cake covered with marshmallow icing and sprinkles. The moist and soft chiffon had a fruity/ lemony buttercream in between. It actually tasted like candy. 127853

I liked it but I had to remove some of the cream because it can be a bit cloying. My sister didn't like the tarty taste though.

Kids will surely love this! Really cute! 128539
