We used to go here a lot of times before because of the Palillos de Milan, which is really a sweet treat! Palillos are biscuits topped with a hardened sugary mixture. (as seen in the picture; photo credits to We enjoyed eating these biscuits (addictive) but after a while, we stopped buying. Maybe it's because we just got tired of eating it after so many jars consumed! I would still eat Palillos again though, only in moderation!

P.S. They also have other products for sale like biscuits, breads and cakes. I think they also sell nacho chips here.

A friend of the family mentioned that Pasteleria has amazing ensaymada and since we were in the area we decided to look for the house where Pasteleria lives.

It's difficult to locate the place. It's a green gate without a large sign? Just a bond paper sized white paper on the gate that lists their opening hours.

When we entered the garage, we saw bags upon bags of corn chips. Turns out they also make a sell their own corn chips! and better yet, these are the corn chips we find in our local grocery. We had just stumbled upon the original supplier. Awesome!

Unfortunately they were out of their ensaymada. So we left with a few bags of corn chips and a container filled with pallilos which were little puff pastries covered in icing.

Along the same lines as my previous review, my mom was kind of letdown with Kris' reco of Diamond ensaymada...
She was still determined to search for the best one in the Metro...
I think this shop was also featured that episode... It's not one I'm familiar with, but I presumably pass by it on my way to work...
Their ensaymada is fab! Mom is happy!128516128516128516
It's huge!!! Haha! Topped with quezo de bola (my preferred cheese for ensaymada), very light bread to bite into... Obviously it's not consumed in just one sitting, but no umay factor for me... Not super buttery, which I actually like... 128077

Anyway, for those of you who reads this, I hope you can give me recommendations as to the best ensaymada in the Metro, for my mom...128522
