Since I live in Pasig, I rarely go to what I call “Moa Land”, because its far and just thinking of the amount of traffic I have to crawl through makes me feel lazy. This Gastro Pub, however makes me want to get off my couch and start exploring with what Moa Land has to offer. Specifically, Hobbies Of Asia or “HOA” (I am coining that one). At first, Pastor’s is quite tricky to find. It’s located at the back most part of Hobbies Of Asia. You may ask, why would anyone open such a neat looking restaurant there? The answer, it’s directly behind the Senate building. There’s even a small walkway that connect’s the Senate to their pub. Now, imagine how many hungry people work at the Senate? It’s a clever strategy if you ask me. So the chef and owner let us try their Paella Negra and other various Spanish dishes. (Sorry, I don’t have food photos since my phone got reformatted a couple of weeks ago). It was very well-prepared and their Paella was perfectly oily and seasoned. The place is very spacious, it can easily hold 300+ people. I can see it being used for government meetings and other people who live nearby. If you are in HOA / MOA land and is craving for good, modern, Spanish-Filipino Fusion cuisine, go check out Pastor’s.
