Food is extremely lousy and tasteless.

We ordered for the following:

Paella Marcino -- rice used was ordinary rice, lacks taste 128078🏼

Seafood Pasta -- on the sweet side, lacks some spice. We tried asking for chili flakes, they gave us hot sauce 128528128078🏼

Pesto Pasta -- initially they have it with 2pcs. Of shrimp only so we returned it because in the menu, picture showed more. Tasteless and pasta is very hard 128078🏼

Callos -- doesn't even taste like Callos, not much chorizo, no olives or garbanzos, tasteless again 128078🏼128078🏼

Pakbet -- the only food that is good from our orders 128077🏼

House Blend Iced Tea -- so so 9995🏼

Strawberry Iced Tea -- it used frozen fresh strawberries 128077🏼

We will never go back again, for the expensive price we paid, we deserve more that what we got in our Sunday lunch.

I love giving (nice) surprises. Planning and thinking of what would make my special someone happy already makes me smile. Seeing the person appreciate it gives me a sense of fulfillment and I felt that when I surprised R with a romantic dinner for two at Ninyo. And since it was a success, I decided to do it again with Patio Vera (I got a CashCash voucher worth PHP1,600 for a romantic dinner for 2), yet another hidden gem according to Looloo.

Hello, Patio Vera.

The place is a bit hard to find since it is located in a residential area. The location itself is also a bit shady. But it’s another story when you enter the house turned restaurant.

The garden area and patio are the first dining areas you will see. We entered the house and saw antique pieces and our romantic set up was near the cockatoo glass cage.

The hyper cockatoo kept us entertained while waiting for our food. The adorable bird also distracted us while we were being bitten by mosquitoes. (Warning: apply mosquito repellant if you do not want to be their feast.)

After 30 minutes of waiting, our appetizer was finally served. Presenting, banana wrapped in bacon.

It was quite weird and the contrast between the supposedly sweet banana and salty bacon did not happen as well as it should have.

The pumpkin soup was served next and it was just okay. It was creamy but it wasn’t warm anymore when it was served.

The watermelon salad looked photogenic and it was refreshing. It made me remember the salad from Earth Kitchen.

As for our main course, I chose steak for R and salmon for myself.

The steak portion was thick but small. I didn’t get to really appreciate the meat as the sauce’s taste was too strong.

The salmon was okay though slightly dry and was something I could easily cook at home.

And just when I thought dinner was just ordinary, the desserts redeemed Patio Vera’s high rating.

The fried halo-halo was delightful. The crispy crepe enveloping the ice cream and scooping the beans, langka, coconut and ube sure could get messy though.

The Tres Leches cake is something I would go back for. I loved the soft sponge cake and all its creaminess. It was light on the taste buds making it so easy for me to engulf the whole slice in a few seconds.

Overall, it was a so-so dinner. Service was remarkably sloooow and it’s hard to find call the waiters from our table. The ambiance though is indeed romantic and dining beside the cockatoo cage was a treat! Plus, the desserts were wonderful.

The awesomeness of the food here makes awesome sound like an understatement of a word. Filipino food or western, me and my family enjoyed everything. Do yourself a favor and top your meal with a tres leches and coffee. Makes you saliviate just thinking about it.

Add to that a dream-like ambience that transports you from a random marikina residential to a lush garden adorned with rustic antiques and ornaments.

The secret garden in the middle of the urban.you wouldn't believe there's a nice place on that street or marikina.:)

The interior and their outdoor dinning has the ambiance of boho and cozy vibe.:) plus their bill/chit is placed on a shoe(marikina is well-known of).

Their dishes are really great.they cater filipino cuisines with their own recipe.the Paella de Mariscos was the best seller so we tried it,we didn't get disappointed.we really loved the food plus the Crab and mango salad with that wasabi-mayo for the dressing!128077🏼128077🏼

Really good especially it was our 3rd year anniversary.128522

So, who doesn't want to experience a classy garden dinner? A place where you can just talk, with your significant other and enjoy each others company. Patio Vera is a best place for a first date. The food is quite pricey, but what do you expect for a fine dinning dinner restaurant, but the place is just extravagant and all worth it. A two thumbs up for Patio Vera.

Patio vera is a good place to relax and unwind with their classic home style ambience. They are serving classic filipino and spanish dishes. We ordered lengua and everlasting. The sauce of lengua is tasty and creamy but the lengua is a bit rank. Everlasting is better where its ingredients is mixed and cooked right. They don't have enough space for parking which is hassle for customers.

Patio Vera is located at the heart of Marikina City. Just a trike away from Lrt 2 Santolan station. It is the ancestral house of the Caballes converted into a restaurant. Everything is so ancient and classy, from the golden angels on the wall, dining tables with old pictures, ancient mirror, chandelier and floral curtains. For the food, we tried Seafood Kare-kare (composed of Tahong, mussels, shrimps, fish) and is to die for! Also their Crab Mango salad which is like a typical Kani salad of the Japanese is toothsome. Will definitely go back here for awesome Filipino dish!

Love the food and the ambiance! We ordered Sisig, Sinigang, Seafood Kare-kare, and Chorizo Stuffed Chicken which was our favorite. My daughter liked their lemon mint ice tea and the house blend was also good. We'd definitely go back here. 128077

Yep, another one of those house-turned-restaurant that's tucked inside Marikina! This place was a little hard to find, but we managed to do so even if Waze gave us wrong directions. 128531

Food's the typical Filipino/Spanish food, but you're really here for the ambience.

What I really liked are the Nacho Fresh, Pininyahang Manok, and their Dinamita. Their Kare-Kare is also good, but the serving is small and the sauce is too bitin! 128517

The place is really really nice, and an ideal date place. We were also toured around the house and their memorabilias (tama ba? hehe) are really impressive. They took us to their koi pond, and I was surprised that their kois are as big and long as my arm!

Parking is always a challenge, though.

Patio Verde deserves a 4.2!!!

Ginataang Tilapia- sobrang the best!
Chicken and chorizo with cheese- it's good
These two are not the best seller nor the chef's choice but still ang sarap talaga!

I wonder if I ordered the best seller or chef's choice... I might have flown to heaven! Hehe

You'll feel at home here. Lalo na sa garden area nila.

Selfie addicts, photographers, and the foodies will surely love this place!

(I heard its owner was a shoemaker before.)

Gosh! So many cozy places in the east! Definitely Patio Verde is one of those. :)

Had lunch here after hearing the sunday mass.
The place was peaceful and relaxing for a hot sunday afternoon.
The food were great! We ordered salad with mangoes and crabs which I really suggest you try!
Another is their paella. We ordered the seafood paella. (Forgot the exact name) Im used in eating paella with "malagkit" used as the rice theirs was kind of "buhaghag" but a friend of mine told me that, that's the way it really should be. So I guess there are types of it. Lol128521
Their paella tastes good as dubbed by the other reviewers. I can taste the tomato in it but not over powering the seafood taste. And the serving fits 1-2 persons.
We also ordered their classic kare-kare and calamares. The taste was good but nothing extra ordinary. The calamares was serve with dipping, I think it was cream cheese which was Great! (Cheese lover over here!) lol128541

Overall it was a great dining experience. A bit pricey but for a group or couple the price may just be right. Their servings are mostly good for sharing plus the ambience of their place is worth spending time with your special someone or love ones.
