Not such a good experience at Paul, tsk Tsk. First off, we were led to a table that hasn't been cleared yet, meron pang mga wet ones etc. Then the waiter proceeded to take our order still without clearing the table! My sister had to say 'clear mo kaya muna pls'. The menus were sticky and dilapidated.
I stood up and checked the display for the available breads and the girl behind the counter was super sungit, I asked kung mag refill pa ng butter croissant and she said, in tagalog, 'kung ano nalang po naka display'. Oh ok.
Back to the table. I got a chocolate croissant and my sister got crepe sucre. When Paul the waiter repeated our order, he didn't even make an effort to say the orders in French 128514 crepe with sugar po! Oh my I don't know what the training is in this place but it definitely needs a huge change!
The crepe arrived and it was pretty sad looking imo. Parang Lumpia wrapper lang, wala man lang char marks whatsoever. And it was cold too.
My sister used to be a training manager for bistro so we were really quite appealed at what we experienced here! Heads up suyen Corp!

Am glad more French cafes or Boulangerie are opening here. Le Coeur de France recently closed. I need their delightful breads and pastries once in awhile.

Brunch here is perfect. They got a full range of breakfast and lunch done in a fine European style. I was with friends and got to try theirs too. I love what they had, but enjoyed more my picks.

I had the Legume Sandwich for mains. I appreciate the crunchy feel on my bite but more so the packed flavors presented from multiple vegetables and even a fried banana for added sweetness.

Also had Tartelette Fraises. It’s a really delicious strawberry glazed on tart. If undecided which pastry is safe this one is. Sweet and sour dessert for the win.

Went to Aura today because my sisters were buying tickets to a KPOP concert (we were 85th in line at 9:30 a.m. @_@) and since I was just tagging along, I got to go on a mini food trip around the mall.

My mom and I stayed in Paul while waiting for the 12 noon starting time of the ticketing. The display of cakes and pastries will instantly draw you and in. It was so tempting to buy every single one of them!

Since I wanted to eat somewhere else for lunch, we only had light dishes. My mom had the seafood and vegetable pasta, which she said was good. The liquid from the salmon and the vegetables seeped out and turned into the sauce of the pasta.

I had the chocolate crepe. Generous chocolate sauce. Simple but done well. Paired it with green tea too so I was extra happy. Haha

What I like most about Paul is the ambiance. Elegant and chic. It's very quiet and ideal for a Sunday morning. Will definitely go back to try the pastries and other options, especially the afternoon tea set! :)

Second time to go to Paul! It was, again, a full house, but luckily we managed to get seated immediately - funny enough we snagged the seat we sat in during our first visit.

As we weren't looking for a heavy meal, I got dessert instead. I had their Gaufré Chocolat et Chantily (I was torn between Gaufré au Chocolat and this one, since they have the same blurb - that is, both are served with warm chocolate sauce, the only diff. is that the one with Chantily costs 20 pesos more, and I liked it as my cravings for sweet had been satisfied! 128518 I also got their chocolate sailor cake, and it was sooo good. Was tempted to get a lemon tart for this visit too, but good thing I didn't because my sugar level has already been capped haha.128514128514 My mom got a bread like pastry, but didn't try it as I already felt too full. For my drink, I got their hot choco and it wasn't bad, just okay.

I really like the whole vibe of the place, but it can feel a bit cramped with the seats somewhat close to each other. Service was good too. 128513

My mom and I have been wanting to try this place out, and we finally did a month ago. As we were only looking to have a light brunch, we ordered their beef bourginion and club poulet. Their beef bourginion was alright, the meat was very tender. The club poulet sandwich was good too - though now that I think of it, the menu says that there's a choice between two types of bread, and we weren't asked to choose. lol anyway, we still liked the club poulet sandwich over the beef dish . I also really liked the potato wedges that came with it. We also ordered their Viennoise Chocolate and lemon tart. The viennoise chocolate was too sweet for me, and I didn't really like it that much. The lemon tart was really good though - something that's worth coming back to. Next time I'll be sure to try their pasta out, maybe another sort of sandwich too, and of course, more of their pastries.
Service was alright, the ambiance was really nice as well. 127800

Ordered the chicken clubhouse and burger. Clubhouse was big and satisfying. Burger was also good but the patty was a bit red-not really because of the doneness (i prefer my burger medium)

Salmon, my love, preferably raw or smoked. PHP250 and worth it for dine in cause you get salad and potatoes for a minimal additional fee. Crunchy outside soft inside bread and generous salmon slices! Good service too. My glass was never empty (water).

After being on the road for 2 hours and haven't eaten lunch, my sister and I decided to grab some food here.

I ordered Chicken Sandwich (195pesos) and she ordered Paillasson Champignons (230pesos) - French version of hash brown with mushrooms and veggies.

Then we ordered desserts:
Choco Brioche Flan (140pesos) it's like bread pudding with chocolate bits 128523
Flan Nature (150pesos) we were expecting it to have a creamy texture but it was like jelly type of mixture. It was still delicious 128076🏼

We had an afternoon tea at this place while waiting for the movie to start. Winner for me would be the Mango Napoleon or Millefeuille (hope I spelled it correctly) 128540. I really like its warm puff pastry.

The macarons & creme brûlée were both good, while the chocolate & coffee éclairs were just okay. There's nothing special with chocolate cake, but it's a good pair for tea or coffee.

Service is prompt and courteous 128522 I'll try their savory dishes nexy time.

I've been going gaga over Bo's pistachio frappe. So when I saw Paul has pistachio macaron frappe - I wanted to stage ala Jayson J "honeycreme vs mcdo sundae" showdown for the best pistachio frappe!

I was aware though that this is a macaron-based drink and I don't like macarons as they are just too sweet for me.

Texture-wise: Paul has finer consistency while Bo's was nuttier.
Price-wise: almost equivalent. I think Bo's was more expensive by php5-10.
Taste-wise: both has great pistachio flavors but Bo's was better as it is basically pistachio frappe, vs a macaron one

The verdict? Go for Bo's! Paul's was just too sweet 128513128513128513128513 it's a holiday drink for Bo's though, so that's another consideration. Try it, before ma-u-Bo's 128514128514128514

The place was packed when we visited Sunday early afternoon but we only waited a few minutes for our table. The servers were very attentive. They have a big menu but we only came here for coffee and desserts.

I had the Coupe Macaron which is a cup of 3 small scoops of ice cream (vanilla and chocolate, but you can choose the flavor/s you want) topped with whipped cream and a piece of small macaron (flavor of choice - chocolate). For my drink, I had the mint iced tea.

Mint iced tea was fine for me. Just a hint of sugar/syrup. The mint flavor was subtle too. The Coupe Macaron was kinda just a normal ice cream dessert really. The macaron was okay. I liked it but it is still not the best macaron I've tasted. It was too chewy (thick) for my taste. I prefer it a bit airy, crispy thin outer layer and chewy inner layer.

My friends had coffee and brownies/eclair. The coffee cups were small (for a coffee addict 128540) so baka mabitin lang. The desserts were nice. I'd probably visit here again if only to try their meals. Side note, we saw Team Kramer (minus Cheska) here but the dolls were sleeping on their yayas' laps. Sayang.

Be prepared to throw away all your money here. Prices are steep, but worth it I suppose. Ordered their creme brûlée, strawberry tart, and upon the recommendation of the manager [?], the almond croissant. Everything was good, but the standout was definitely the croissant. It was crumbly, moist and crunchy at the same time. 128525 It's a bit sweet though, but the small serving size helped lol. The tart's sweetness was perfectly balanced out by those strawberries. Speaking of, I asked the manager where they got them, because as far as I know the strawberries grown here are tiny compared to the ones they used. Trade secret daw (darn! 128541). The creme brûlée was okay. Their servings as I mentioned, are tiny but filling. Pretty good overall. 128077🏼

Their vanilla tea was awesome! Quite busy for early dinner on a Friday but felt we were never rushed as we enjoyed our own orders.

A meal is not a happy meal without dessert. I usually crave for sweets after a good meal. I just need to have my sweet ending (unless if I had a salmon sashimi overload for lunch or dinner). And last Friday, I had a good dinner but still had room for dessert so we went to SM Aura to visit…

Paul Patisserie and Boulangerie! It has been a while!

I still remember the sweet goodness I ordered last year and just thinking about it now makes me drool.

This time, J and I ordered the following: Tartelette Citron (PHP210), Éclair Chocolat (PHP160), Milleuille Mango (PHP150) and two Grand Café (PHP115/cup).

First served was the Milleuille Mango and it was pretty good. The lovely Napoleon was soft and creamy. The mango slices and puree made it even more delectable.

Next served was the Tartlette Citron. We originally ordered the one with meringue but they ran out of it. So we decided to get the one without. It was citrusy with a lovely crunch from the crust. It was surprisingly delightful.

The éclair though was pretty ordinary to me. But it was quite big and the smooth cream filling and rich chocolate cover were good.

The coffee was just right. The bitterness of the coffee offsets the sweetness of the desserts we ordered. I am starting to really love black coffee. <3

Overall, it was a nice way to end the night. I can’t wait to try the other desserts and Paul’s savory dishes.

Got their chocolate croissant, chocolate mousse, and the chocolate tart. Chocolate heaven! My favorite was the chocolate tart. Intense chocolate. All the pastries went well with the english breakfast tea.

We got here 9:45pm and practically begged the servers to allow us to order a cup of cappuccino and pastries since most stores were closing already. They were kind enough to accommodate us but while choosing from their wide selection of desserts.. A tiny cockroach was enjoying his food too. We called the attention of the servers and they calmly said, "sige po tatanggalin nalang namin." So ano, yun lang??!! I doubt they'll remove all the pastries naman diba. The waiter even told me na he can accept my orders na. Hello???! I obviously backed out and told them, nandidiri ako. Hahaha! Do something about this, guys!
