We arrived at Davao International Airport 6AM in the morning. Then our rented van transported us to Pearl Farm Wharf. We've waited for an hour for our boat before going on sail to reach Samal Island... around 45 minutes of sailing. 🛥

When we reached Pearl Farm we were welcome by the staff and offers us a drink with an ethnic music background. 127926

Looking the scenery, the aesthetic view of the resort make us having a good vibes feels. The sands, the beach, the music, the cabanas and villas, the greenery of the resort... Whoah! I can't imagine. It's BEAUTIFUL. 10084

We were assisted to the concierge first for registration and get our keys to our room. We were too early, so we've waited until check out time and decided to eat first at their Maranao Restaurant. 127860

After eating and still waiting for our room... We managed our time and explore the resort and we've seen a T'boli woman who makes weaves. I was fascinated of how she did her cloth, amazing! 128525

We also saw monkeys and a pretty peacock, its like she owns the islands, especially when the tails come outs in full... Its like she is telling us "I'm the Queen." 128038

When the rooms are ready, we rest for about 2 hours and change our outfit to swim.

Pearl Farm is located at Samal Island, Davao. 12851510084

I shall describe this experience as pampered, scenic and serene.

Pampered
-Upon arrival at Pearl Farm Marina Wharf (which is quite hard to find as there are currently 4 wharves in Davao which crosses to Samal Island), your car door will be opened, they will help you unload your luggage from the car, your luggage will then be taken to the baggage counter where it will be tagged and a claim stub will be given to you which you will use when you claim your bag when you reached Pearl Farm in Samal Island. While tagging of luggage is happening, you will be offered a bottle of mineral water for free (actually you paid for this as part of your stay). After this, you will be asked to register on another counter at the wharf where your boat boarding ticket, room key stub and a 200 pesos off coupon (per head) will be given.

Note: Boats to and from Pearl Farm, Samal Island have 3 schedules. Make sure you arrive at least 30 mins before departure to have ample time for all preparation prior boarding.

Note: Once they declare that the boat is open for boarding, i suggest you board immediately to make sure you have seats as during our trip to Samal Island there wasn't enough seats. Boat ride will take around 45 Mins.

When the boat arrives at Samal Island Pearl Farm Wharf, you will be greeted by a soft live music played by one of the staffs of pearl farm, and they will hand you a fresh welcome juice drink and some cold towel to freshen up from the heat during the boat ride. You may stay at the Parola and relax a bit before heading to the Front Office to know your room assignment and claim the room key. Together with your room key, they will also hand you a separate card which you can use if you will borrow towels when you stay at the beach/pool area (i think you will also use that same card for renting other swimming/activity gears). After this, they will orient you on what you can do within the resort while accompanying you to your room. The luggage was just brought to our room after around 15 mins of settling in the room.

Note: They have 2 carts/cars available which is free of use to go around the resort

Also, for any room service request made, they always check/confirm with you if the request was properly done.

Scenic
-Clear white beaches, soft sands and infinity pool facing the body of water. Small fishes swimming by the beach is what I first noticed when I arrived. The interiors of the resort was mainly made of wood. Cottages were designed nicely at the sides of the beach. A lot of spots were actually nice for photo ops. Lots of trees surrounding the resort. Pathways were also beautifully designed. Restaurant was also situated where you can have a view of the beach or the sea.

Serene
-It was very relaxing. The vibe was so calm. The sound of the sea and the smell of fresh air was refreshing. The staffs were very nice, accommodating and friendly.

Note: Internets are only available in selected areas of the resort

Note: Activity area is free of use

I think this luxury experience is worth every penny paid as a reward for your hard work or for celebrating special occasions.

Relaxing resort with excellent amenities. The beach is beautiful, too, with fine white sand and fishes.

It was just a few weeks before our Davao trip when the Samal's kidnapping incident was showed in the news. We thought about it over and over again... And thus, we still proceeded on our trip despite the risk.

We asked helped from a travel agency to gather details for our trip but we're the one who made the itinerary. We ensured that we'll spend a night to the famous Pearl Farm Resort to unwind and relax.

We booked 2 Hilltop Rooms (includes breakfast). One room for 2 pax costs about Php 6,800. The room was okay, however, there were differences between the 2 Hilltop rooms given to us - size of CR, sink, shower area, and television.

There are 3 main areas on the resort.
1. Main - Here, you can see the Front office, restaurant, beach, and Parola.

2. Malipano Island - This will require a 5 minute boat ride from the main area. It's a secluded mini island with accommodations too!

3. Mandaya - Just a shuttle away from the front lobby. Samal houses are found here. It's kinda far from the main area so I suggest you to use the shuttle service. Here you can find the game room, beach area, and Mandaya pool.

It was not crowded during our stay, but when it's eating time, the restaurant gets a bit crowded - still not full. It was a great time for photoshoots, selfies, and full relaxation as the area was peaceful.

Island hopping thru their Aqua Sports Center was too pricy! It's about 6k for a couple of islands. Snorkeling gears are also availbe for Php 350/day. Though, I don't recommend you to rent if you're just going to stay on the beach area. Fishes were shy even if we have bread for them.

There was nothing special on their food - for me. It's not bad, but nothing to brag about. But, you can request for a dinner by the beach like the picture above! 9786

There are three schedules for the boat transfer from Marina Wharf (Davao City port) to Pearl Farm (Samal Island). I suggesst that you get the early ferry going to Pearl Farm para sulit! 128539

Overall, we enjoyed our luxurious stay at Pearl Farm. Yes, it was expensive, but the overall experience was worth the price! 128077

P.S. I hope I can post all the beautiful shots that I got! Nevertheless, you can find them on my IG! 128513

Beautiful scenic view. Another perfect spot for selfie lords 128514128514128514 (I am guilty) hahaha One of the good places you can go if you want to stay away from the city, very calming. A lot of good options during buffet breakfast and buffet lunch.

Once you're in, you cannot get out, unless you checked out. hahahaha They said there was an accident happened already to their guest before so since then, they don't allow guests to roam around outside the resort. That's why we were not able to go to Maxima for the slide. I don't know if it is just a marketing strategy. Good thing, the place makes you feel warm and busy.

The place is such a haven, you'll love the pristine white sand, their snorkeling area, the room looks nice and inviting for a rest but the view outside would really invite you to explore the resort. We had a flight so early in the morning that while at the Marina Wharf me and my friends decided that we will take a rest and explore the resort in the afternoon, but upon arrival our hearts just desired to be out and swim and breathe in the fresh air.

The staffs are accommodating, they'll make sure you are well attended. The restaurant is good but with limited selection for food.

They got a separate island where villas are for rent, the water is so clear along the shores but we saw some litters while on our way to the island, and a smell of gasoline from our boat.

All in all the experience is great, would love to be back again!

Stayed in Manipalo Villas and totally did not want to leave. Our weekend getaway included relaxing by the beaches and pool, snorkeling, fish feeding, etc. the environment was just so peaceful. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast buffet which were delish! The high price you pay is both for the quality of services and the peacefulness of the place. Need to come back 128512

Nothing is more relaxing to me than seeing a pool i could fall into with my clothes on. Pearl Farm has several.

Imagine putting up a resort for your weekend getaway? Wow! Who wouldn't love to have that? I was privileged enough to visit the resort for my company's conference. I like the exclusivity of an island and adore that there are so many areas where the rooms are scattered. Except for the hilltop rooms that will give you a workout (and knee strain) for climbing all those stairs. I heard that the resort might make some changes.

The water is relatively calm and ideal for swimming. The beach isn't rocky so it's nice to walk on. I love the view of the mountains and that there is a smaller island that hosts more villas and more room. My favorite place is a tree that has a lot of lights strung on it. If i were to come back here, i would put bean bags underneath, ready a good book and a bottle of wine. How relaxing!

I have fallen in love with the people of Davao. They're such a progressive people, i feel. Am not sure if working in a resort makes the people relaxed or the people just do not have sticks up their @$$€$ the same way us city folk are.

I'd love to come back and stay in a different room. Mmmm, relaxing.

Got the lean season rates and the seat sale seats so the entire package was less than 20k for 2.

Food is a little pricey but expected being a far away resort, it's good though so it doesn't feel like a rip off.

Perfect venue to feed the fish is right outside your room for the Samal Houses. They have fancier and more expensive rooms but that's for another trip in the future.

When ur searching for a great place to enjoy ur summer. Summer like quiet place to relax and pamper urself. I would suggest u should try to go to Pearl Farm Beach Resort in Davao. It's a private resort in Davao that for sure u will enjoy and the rest of the people. Do jetski and so on. Their food at the resort was also good!

One of the nicest resorts I've been to. Yes expensive but worth it. Welcome drink and shell necklace upon arrival and the mango juice they served is just so good I even asked for a refill!!!

Our cottage is one of those that is overlooking the beach and glass doors are really intended to be facing the beach so you'll have that sunrise/sunset view even when you are just lying inside your room.

This place is just heavenly. They also use golf carts to bring us back and forth our rooms whenever we go out for bfast to dinner.

They have this pagoda in the center of the resort which is actually their bar and its like floating and can view the whole front of the resort from here and sulit na sulit ang happy hour samin since their cocktails are just sooo good and cheap.

Will definitely be back here.
