A friend invited me to eat for lunch before heading home. I was skeptical to eat since the place he prefers to eat didn't have a good feedback from people i have met since i stayed in Pangasinan. But i guess i would have to give it a try! When i got in, it was like a Mexican themed restaurant. When i asked one of the staffs for the menu. I was disappointed because they don't serve Mexican food but all traditional Filipino Dishes. (i love Filipino Food but i was hoping to try a different delicacy) however, the crew said if i am going to order from their Menu, i would have to wait Atleast 30mins or more before the food will be served, so i ended up having pre-cooked food at their food counter:

Vegetable Kare Kare : A must try
Fish Fillet : Nothing special
Bangus Sisig: Good
Ginataang Halo-Halo: A must try
Seafood Chopsuey: I love

Overall, it was ok 127775127775127775 but maybe i won't go back unless someone would treat me for a meal. Lols

Vegetales Kare Kare: A debe intentar
Filete de pescado: Nada especial Bangus Sisig: buena
Ginataang Halo-Halo: A debe intentar
Chopsuey mariscos: me encanta

En general, es ok 127775127775 127775 pero tal vez no voy a menos que alguien me trate para una comida. LOLs

Pedritos is a family owned restaurant and their staff had been with them forever. Except on one unfortunate event. This story is well known for the townspeople of Dagupan. The head chef of Pedritos took off or resigned, however you like to call it and built his own restaurant bringing with him the same recipes and concept to compete with this traditional place. From the menu to the design of the packaging.. i don't want to say more, but it is the story after all.

Even though, Pedritos had always been a family favorite restaurant for us for three reasons.

1. They are one of the oldest restaurants with an events venue and catering in Dagupan City. We've known their staff since forever! Just stepping in to the nostalgic Mexican interior woth colorful walls and their trademark sombreros makes me giddy all over!

2. They were just located outside of our subdivision. They used to be located at Arellano Street, now the place of Zen Tea, Rubis, and various medical and drugstores. In the old days though, they had the whole building and everyone would come to their place for birthdays, christenings and debuts. Now, they moved to Lucao Road, going to CSI city mall.

3. The food. Their food is amazing.
They have a sort of Carinderia/canteen style set up that food is displayed and you get to choose the dish you want to order. Or you can always have their chef to cook up something from their menu. Their specialty dishes are numerous but our family's favorites are the Bbq Chicken with peanut sauce and their Sinigang na Bangus Belly. Ooh the sweet peanut sauce coupled with their homemade vinegar drizzled on that perfectly spiced BBQ chicken. The bangus belly is really fat, healthy fat of course with the best sinigang soup! They also have Lengua in white or red sauce whenever available.

They're also a bakeshop and you should definitely try their best selling yema, super soft, milky and sweet! Their chocolate bon bons are also to die for if available and their leche flan are always part of our sunday family brunch!

They have the best yema ever as I remember being a kid, I used to buy packs of it.

Today though, I will review their Eat All You Can dinner buffet, for only 200 Pesos, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

They have a live band that starts playing during lunch until dinner. The singers and players take turns, of course.

One of the best dishes I've tried during the buffet is their oh so soft lechon kawali, with that melt in your mouth belly fat and super crunchy pig skin!!!!!!!! Hell yeah!

The adobo squid, sisig and pinakbet are also worth to mention. Fruits and desserts are part of the buffet.

So come visit while they still have it going on and don't forget to buy yema for pasalubong and many other more confectionaries!
