This is one of the few Chinese Restaurants which serves legit Peking Ducks! I'm sure a number of folks would remember this resto as part of their childhood memories, most especially if there are special occasions.

For this instance, I went here for a team dinner with colleagues. Too bad, I was not able to take many pictures as we were a big group and we are all famished.

We got the following:

127860 Barbecue Peking Duck (2 ways) - nothing more to say but a 127775127775127775127775127775. Even after all those years, they haven't changed the dish!

127860 Hot and Sour Soup - nice balance of the sourness and spiciness of the soup. Not so sure if from eating too much duck that I felt the soup lacks flavor. Just a 127775127775127775

127860 Yeung Chow Fried Rice - this dish alone can be an ulam/rice already! Nice flavors and they didn't scrimp on the ingredients. 1277751277751277751/2

127860 Noodles with Mushroom - again this is goo but nothing spectacular in taste. 127775127775127775.

127860 Golden Prawn Ball in Lettuce Wraps - this is a hit, not just for me but with my colleagues as well. Quite pricey though, but worth every peso! It's a solid 127775127775127775127775.

127860 Hot Prawn Salad - this is also good! Quite different from the other Hot Prawn Salas that I have tried. The prawns are fresh and not oily.

127860 Sweet and Sour Pork - another good dish! Well balanced sweetness and sourness of the sauce. The pork is moist and tender! Its a 127775127775127775127775.

Overall service was 128077🏻128077🏻. Though the place was packed considering it's a Thursday night, servers were very attentive! The pacing and arrival of out food is just right giving us time to savor each dish.
This visit is a sure solid 127775127775127775127775 for me.

Just a 128221, better call in for a reservation if you plan of dinning here as they serve limited number of guests.

Who wouldn't love this restaurant! I've been going here since I was a kid. My parents used to take me along with them whether it be with friends or family on special occasions. I grew up loving Chinese food (who didn't?!128523). Oily but, hey, who cares! So anyway the whole family went there last week to celebrate my birthday. My husband ordered the roasted suckling pig in advance since we knew they didn't have it in the menu and had to get it from Jade Garden (their sister company). As usual, food was great. I love their Yeung Chow style fried rice, it's really authentic. The pecking duck was superb! Suckling pig was succulent, it was to die for, having it with their steamed buns/flour pancakes made it almost perfect. Vegetables and shrimps were fresh. What can I say, this restaurant never disappoints. So worth it every time.128522

Since today is the first lunch for 2016 plus it is my dad’s birthday...we always have Chinese food. We always have Chinese food on his birthday. We decided to go for comfort food.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to make reservations early enough. We only made it 3 days ago. We were wait listed for this resto and Jade Garden. As of yesterday we were confirmed with Jade Garden, however everyone felt like eating peking duck. And ofcourse that is their specialty....

This is not our first time to eat here...maybe the last though! I grew up eating in Peking Garden and Kimpura since Kimpura being in QUAD and Peking Garden in the old Glorietta.

We took our chances and dropped by Peking Garden this morning since there was no traffic and we got to the mall very early. We were told that there was a cancellation...since we are kind of walk-in they gave us a table. We were told that we will be the first batch....not being specific how long we can stay.

We went ahead and ordered our lunch. By the time they served our 2nd to the last dish, we were reminded that there is another group after us and that they have arrived. We told the girl yes we understand but not all food arrived yet. After the last dish (steamed Garoupa) arrived, and i mean 5 minutes after it arrived....we were again reminded that there is another group who will eat after us. So, at this point I am pissed. If from the start you told your kitchen that our time is limited and all the food arrived early enough....but we leisurely took our time, that’s the time you kick us out!!!!!!

At this point, while everyone is eating the fish already...the girls at the reception (btw our table is near the entrance) was staring at us....how in the world can someone eat properly like that. So everyone was talking to the managers and supervisors already being irate and all us making comments can someone wrap our left over food already since you are kicking us out. How can we go if you don’t wrap the food....

Before i left....i told the manager never have i been treated in ANY hotel or restaurant like this. I have never been asked to leave because someone needs to use the table! DAMN you PEKING GARDEN!!!! You seriously ruined my day!

MENU FOR TODAY.....

E-fu noodles with seafood: it was good.

3 combination with extra century egg:i only eat the asado in that platter so my raiting so so...it was kinda hard than usual.

2 way peking duck: they know how to do their stuff!

Sizzling beef: i didn’t get to eat this, i was full.

Yang Chow fried rice: yummy! Its not oily

Steamed live garoupa: i didn’t have the chance to eat this either i was soooo pissed already.

The Peking duck is a hit with my family! Roasted duck, with scallions and cucumbers in a Pancake. Gotta have the chili oil with it.

We tried this strategy - order the simplest and cheapest food at this elaborate restaurant. Still came out to 1000 for 3 people. It was okay. We didn't have duck but we also didn't break the budget. Although I wish the food was less greasy.

Great Chinese resto! Peking duck wasn't too fatty and the minced one was much tastier than the ones done by other Chinese restos. Here's what we ordered -
Steamed supreme soup & pork dumpling
Double boiled winter melon soup with dried scallop & bamboo pith in clear soup
Peking duck two ways
Steamed lapu lapu
Seared US Beef fillet salad
Stewed bean curd with assorted vegetable topping
Yangchow fried rice
Beancurd custard with ginger soup
Fresh fruits
Mango sago

Tired of taking food pics of this resto... Not much new except the dessert..

Pumpkin cake is just a flatten buchi ball into a pancake shaped pie topped with sesame ..., it's actually very delicious ... Crisp , chewy & not greasy

Paired with bean custard with ginger sauce ... It's actually glorified name of taho ... & the soup is lightly sweetened with gingery flavor ... acquire taste ... Didn't like it at first ... but after a few sips ... It grows in u 128541

Then we ordered our fave banana fritters coz our manager friend forget to add it ... So we got it for free... Nicey 978697869786

Food is only great when u know which dish to order and when my cousin says & he is probably right 9786

Bday celebration & it's perfect as always , a table filled with my love ones all together is already great company ... The simple yet spacious function room was clean & we were given 2 servers that are very efficient & courteous plus the constant visits from the manager asking how's everything makes us feel special

Started with complimentary bday efu noodles with mushroom

Double boiled winter melon soup with assorted seafood cooked inside the melon fruit itself for many hours is light yet so tasty & generous with all sorts of specialty seafood like bamboo pith, fish maw, live fish fillet , squid & many more that I can't name

2 Peking ducks two ways wrap & 2nd way was deep fried salted with peppercorn & the 2nd duck minced & wrap in lettuce ... All so juicy & succulent duck meat at its best

Golden prawn ball with special sauce wrap in lettuce , bouncy Plump prawn balls topped with many salted flakes that taste so good over crisp lettuce is amazing ... Simply must try !!!

Sautéed Pacific Garoupa fillet , manager friend said they use the tiger type garoupa this time , it's rare and seasonal which is more sweet since it's not cultured & the texture is more plump & juicy ... Heaven on a plate

Lotus seafood rice topped with garlic crabs ... The rice has all the drippings from the garlic crabs... & so just the rice is already so flavorful , plus the freshest catch of the crabs ... I'm so stuffed & speechless

Steamed supreme soup & pork dumpling is just a fancier name for xiao lum boa ... Haha... Too stuff... Can even breath anymore ... food won't stop coming ... Lol

Mango pudding & birthday bun for dessert ....yummmmmmy!!!

A short update that I forgot to include in my last review. If you have read it, I told you guys that our bill was 11k+.

Everyone is given warm towels to wipe our hands with and it's placed in this metal plate. Look at how rusty this thing is. Isn't this like dangerous or something? And we are paying a lot of money for food including service, and we get served with rust stuff. As what i said food is good but not too worth it. :(

Peking duck cooked 3 ways. heaven! (seen on pic).

Shanghai fried rice- includes shrimp and crabmeat. super delicious and super expensive. the most expensive fried rice I ever ate. 1000+ per order good for about 6-7 persons.

xlb- a bit dry and wrapper is thick. will still go for LUGANG.

avoid the fried mantau bread. too expensive. not worth it. does not even taste good! 200 per order, 2 pcs. about 3 inches long. TASTY dumplings wins this with their famous silver roll.

sweet and sour pork- nothing special. meat is a bit tough tho.

50% off via BDO, can eat the whole duck by myself. hehe

I celebrated my graduation with my family at peking garden. We ordered a lot of dishes and i don't think i can list down everything, so i will just tell you the dished that stand out, the ones that I really like:

Cold Cuts-it's not the usual century eggs and asado. The only common thing there is the jellyfish (other people know this as "seaweeds") and there's this sweet chicharon which was super sweet but it tasted great between choices, to balance out the taste.

Chicken soup- I'm so sorry, i don't know the exact name, but the chicken soup which soup was super white and with chicken breast and pechay. It's really good. And is was this white because probably, the soup was slow cooked. Bad service though, because after we all ate, my dad was shocked to know that there we're chicken bits, he only got soup and pechay. Haha.

Peking duck- ofcourse, peking duck in peking garden.

By the way, bdo's offering 50% discount during weekends for BDO Platinum and Gold card holders:)
-1 star for the price. We are only 10ppl, and bill was 11k+, good thing it's 50% off, so we only paid 5k+ for that.

Throwback. Hailed as one of the best restaurants in Greenbelt by fellow Looloo reviewers.
Photos were taken last year when my former officemates gave me a despedida lunch here.
Best peking duck I've tried so far! The crabs were very good also!
We ate here on the day when they pledged a portion of their sales to be donated to Yolanda victims.

For the Nth time ... After a week & we're back ... Family affair (aunt's bday)... It almost feels like an extension of out dining room 128541

Steamed supreme soup & pork dumpling ... clear, light soup & tasty pork filling inside the thinnest dumpling wrap was like xiao lung bao ...good starter

Chicken & meat dumplings soup in casserole ...light , clear flavorful umami soup ... To wet the palate but not to fill us up & ready us for the feast yet to come(family never learn not to order too much... Always eats like there's no tomorrow 128561).... We need new chinese cuisine resto soon 128530... Family running low on options 128542

Peking duck 2 way the typical wrap that everyone dearly love & peppercorn duck bones as the 2nd way.. As always... perfection... Not a personal favorite of mine.... I'm allergic to anything that gives even a slightly greasy feel after.

Deep fried with fresh mango lapu lapu ... Was a new take on the fish ... But I'm not much into anything with ripe mango ... So I passed

Deep fried crab claw.... Oh... For the lazy us... now we can eat without messing up our hands ... Ingenious ... Entire crab claw inside & not even slightly oily...awesome.

Scrambled egg whites with assorted seafood ... Our staple order & always a refreshing ... Light tasty dish & I love the texture with all the fresh ocean catch bursting in my mouth

Sautéed fresh scallops, French beans in XO sauce.... Very reminiscing of what we usually have in hk... plump juicy big lightly spiced scallops coupled with crisp tasty french beans was so simple yet so exquisite.

Baked rocked lobster , butter & garlic with the creamiest tasty pasta full of the lobsters drippings.. was to die for.

Purple rice with sago, corn in coconut milk was somewhat a take of the native ginataan na mais... But way thinner in consistency ... Coz seriously ... this is already gluttony

Mashed dates pancake... Was like a denser flat hopia .. Less sweeter .. filling made of date paste ... Meh

Service was stellar... Manager friend of my aunt keep asking how's the new dishes & if we need anything... Well... Me.. I need to stop eating 128556128566

I declined to attend the family lunch get together hold by one of my aunts coz wasn't feeling well & so sweet of them they sent me take outs of :

2 way duck...wrapped & the deep fried

Butter garlic cream pasta with 2 halves of lobster

6 pcs of xiao long bao

And 3 pcs of prawn ball stuffed with crab claw & sweet chilli sauce on the side ... Which was unexpectedly good ... Coz I dislike deep fried food & this is plump real prawn & crab & non greasy at all... Just spectacular

Sorry for the not too presentable pic
