Pendy’s is a local favorite for their delicious pastries and wide variety of Pasalubongs. What’s even unique about this place is that its interior will remind you of the old age in a classy fashion. We tried their iced coffee which is good and this half moon pastry. It’s sweet, soft and fluffy. I like its texture, and how it melts in your mouth. The coffee is okay, a little too milky. My best friend tried their cafe mocha which is good according to her.

The place is small but is situated right along Lacson so it’s an easy find. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try their napoleones as we just had a good one at Rolli’s. But they say theirs is good too so when you visit them, try it out for me please. Haha. Or I might just visit them again soon.

We were in search of the best Napoleones in Bacolod and I read here on |ooloo that theirs is the best. Before, I never really cared. And frankly I only knew the Napoleones of Rolly's, but apparently there are a number of places that make these little sweet treats. 128568

I haven't tried a lot, but Pendy's version of Napoleones can definitely rank as the best in Bacolod. The bread was nice and fluffy and had just a tinge of crispness and the cream filling was delicious! It wasn't too sweet and the sugar topping was not too much. I loved it! 128571

We also ordered their famous Half Moon Cake and it was divine! I had no expectations whatsoever on this dessert but mygehd ansarap po! It reminded me of Estrel's only a little sweeter. The cake was fluffy and the topping was just the best! 128571

The ambiance of the place was actually surprising. It kinda looked like a fine dining joint, but a little steps further in the room and you'll see a Pasalubong center. 128569 Still it's very inviting to dine. The service here is impeccable too, even as we only had desserts here.

They say the Batchoy here is also amazing, so I will definitely come back to try that too! 128571

I've been so behind on my reviews, I'm going back three months to when I last came to Bacolod before this weekend 128513

This pic was from three months ago, when I tried their la paz batchoy while my mum had some lumpiang sariwa for snacks. We were quite satisfied, but were much happier with our haul of pasalubong.

Fast forward to this weekend, and my mum's only bilin was the empanadas which we had tasted the last time but ween't able to bring home. Amateur tip: the empanadas are not available on Sundays since the bakers are off. So this time, I had to get a box of them yesterday and stored them for travel today. It remains to be seen if it's as yummy as we remember, at a day old.

I came here for the Napoleones and it didn't disappoint! I experienced more custard filling compared to Virgies'. Price wise, I believe Pendy is 30 pesos cheaper. The moon cake is another pasalubong option. Light chiffon and custard cream but nothing spectacular.

I also enjoyed their lapaz batchoy. It's way better than my horrendous experience with Super Batchoy House. All the ingredients are well-cooked and it was served hot.

I have tried a lot of Napoleones and this one tops them all. The filling is not too sweet, the crust is just lightly crisp, the topping is smooth and its sweetness is just right. The place is old but charming. The service is great.

Ordered boxes of pasalubong for pick up tomorrow and asked for 1 piece of napoleones to eat while having coffee. Ate girl gave me a freebie!! I love this place 128149 coffee is good too. Everyone was so nice and attentive. Can't wait to go back tomorrow to see them. And hella happy how close it is to the Regional office. Literally just a side street separates it from ABS-CBN 128153

I didn't have time to eat a proper meal here, but I'd heard about Pendy's half moon cake so I just had to try it before I go. It wasn't too shabby, I loved the custard topping: sweet but not overly so. I thought the cake part was a bit dry though.

Their batchoy was simply a must try. The soup was full of flavor even without adding pepper and soy sauce. I'll definitely come back!!! 128077128077128077

Some nice dishes to try when you're in Bacolod:
The Batchon. What happens when Batchoy meets Lechon. Very sweet and flavorful Batchoy with strips of Lechon. A good snack or meal.
The Kare-Kare here is pretty good. The thickest most peanut buttery sauce I've ever had with perfectly cooked ox-knuckles.
The Kansi. When Bulalo meets Tom Yum Soup. Not as heart-stopping as Laguna's Bulalo, but still worth a try.

Napoleones!!! This pastry is super addicting I actually bought 3 boxes to be consumed for a week hello diabetis!!! The flaky crust with glazed and the caramelly leche flanny filling is so delicious that a visit to Bacolod without trying this is just incomplete. They also have this yema/ custard cake like called half moon which is also delectable. The place is half restaurant half pasalubong store and the staff are pretty accommodating and organized so it is actually a hassle free transaction even if the store is jam packed.

Weeeeeee napoleones from Pendy's! As always this is the best place for Bacolod's Napoleones. It's not too sweet. Not that flaky. But so fluffy 128525

I know people go here for the Napoleones but IMHO Half Moon Cake is waaaaaaayyy better! They also serve good meals, very comfort food vibe. Order your pasalubongs in advanced and pass by to pick them up before you head to the airport. These things sell out pretty fast!

It's always a great time here at Pendy's in Bacolod! Ambience is nice, with some intricacy on the details of the furniture and the bright lights.

Order their Chicken a la King in a bread cup, in all its creamy goodness. By far my most favorite Bacolod snack and something I never fail to take home with me to Cebu. The little Halfmoon cakes (creamy custard on top of soft sponge cake) are also a crowd favorite. Don't forget to get Bacolod's famous Napoleones - Pendy's makes it perfectly (and I hear they're the best). For mains, try Pendy's Sizzling Gambas (caution: shrimps are swimming in oil). It comes with one sunny side up egg! :)

Overrated! Pendy's is famous for their chicken dinuguan. Nothing too special though. The only rewarding part is you get to buy pasalubongs from their restaurant.

Batchon (Batchoy con Lechon) 128076128076128076128076128076
🔺I think I like their version a tad bit more than 21's kasi sobrang laki ng serving sa 21, borderline busog and umay. Plus ang daming liver. Yikes, eh di ako kumakain nun. Pero both naman are good!! 127858

Napoleones 128076128076128076128076
🔺Not too sweet, and flaky siya. If yun yung bet niyo. But for me, soft > flaky. Tried yung sa Quan's....OMG PERFECT!! Pero masarap din naman yung Pendy's version. Kebs 128539

▪You can also buy pasalubongs dito. They also have consignments from Bongbong's and Bailon's.

The kuya (who was very friendly and accommodating) had me at the "cheese sauce on top". And true enough when it arrived on our table i said "woah, cheese kung cheese". 128561 It was too many that my officemate, Martin, kept on dipping his burger in it (i dont mind).

It wasn't a good idea though that i ordered this along with Lapaz Batchoy (see my Pendy's last review) since it was very satisfying already i was only able to eat less than half of this and decided to give it to Martin (who was then very much delighted). I think even if i only had this, i still wont be able to handle the whole thing kase medyo nakakaumay for me, the cheese sauce was overpowering plus there's mayonnaise pa inside (not a fan). But intense cheese lovers like my officemate then who really loved it should give this one a try! 128522

I cannot say so much about the watermelon shake only that it was so fresh, refreshing, pure and really good! 127817128077
