This is just like the parks at baguio or luneta but just more secured as before you enter they will check you and your bags.

Mandatory picture of the Philippine Eagle statue, our pambansang ibon and davao's pride.

Lot's of statues of cartoon characters as well. You can also jog here, stay and sit at the benches, walk around and see some paintings or photographs.

There are also lot's of restaurants surrounding the oark which are walking distance.

Just make sure to bring an umbrella when you go here so you'll be ready rain or shine :)

It was a huuuuge park that you can visit if you have nothing else better to do but still would want to go out. There are a lot of statues that you can have a picture with. It also functions as a tambayan for people and exercise for health buffs. There isn't anything special to see though. I think it was too dark. But the trees and the landscape of the place is nice!!!

People's Park is one of the landmarks in Davao City. It's a huge park situated in the downtown area. Entrance is free, as it is maintained by taxes.

The park features a lot of sculptures (which were all made by a local artist) depicting native Davao City. And I must say that they are truly works of art.

Near the entrance of the park is a durian-shaped dome where they exhibit old photos of Davao. You can climb up to the top to overlook different parts of the city.

The park's main attraction are its fountains. There are also "mini parks" inside, and each has their own name. One would be the Sunken Garden (as shown in the picture). There are also ponds with ducks and geese. Then there's the "hanging gardens", where there are flowers and other shrubs hanging from trellises. The park is full of beautiful plants that the temperature inside the park is cooler than outside it.

And if one ever gets tired from all the walking and strolling, there are a lot of benches situated everywhere. There are also conveniently located CRs which are always maintained by the management.

During holidays, some events are hosted inside the park. Live bands often play during these times.

The park is beautifully designed and offers a breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of the city.
