Me and my sister were craving for prosciutto pizza a week ago, but wasn't able to go to any pizza place since I was not around for the weekend. My sister and I then decided to have it this Saturday. We arrived the restaurant at around 11:30am. It was the perfect time of the day for photos since the place wasn't jammed yet and the lighting is awesome.
The servers opened the glass doors as they greeted us with smiles and led us to the couch. We sat down and checked their menu. The server then proceeded to inform us that we can have two flavors in one pizza for the large and XXL sizes. She also mentioned their bestsellers and left us to decide.
We ordered the calamari fritti, carbonara, half prosciutto di parma and half quattro formaggi large pizza and piña colada. Here are my thoughts on the dishes:
Calamari Fritti P355
This was a nice appetizer that the restaurant was able to bring out of the kitchen after a few minutes. The squid was soft and wasn't rubbery. I liked that it was easy to cut and chew. I also enjoyed dipping it in both the sauces.
I loved this. Although it's not something really grand or different, I loved it because it was simply my type of carbonara. It was creamy, but not drowning in sauce. I also liked that the sauce was able to stick to the pasta. It was also well seasoned, though we loved showering it with parmesan cheese.
Prosciutto Crudo di Parma and Quattro Formaggi P565
The recommended flavors of the pizza were the prosciutto crudo di parma and the bacon miele. We first decided on having the prosciutto and the carbonara, so we thought that having the bacon miele as well will kill us! So we just went on to having the quattro formaggi for the other half of our pizza. I liked their pizza. The crust was thin and crisp and didn't taste burnt.
The prosciutto pizza had marinara sauce as the base topped with prosciutto and arugula. It was good, although I would've preferred it better with more prosciutto xD Also, my first piece of pizza had more marinara sauce in it that made it difficult for me to taste the prosciutto. The arugula was fine as well as it wasn't bitter.
The quattro formaggi was just okay. We were expecting it to be more salty (and cheesy). I was thinking of ordering the margherita at first, so I guess I should've gotten that instead. That could've had more flavor.
Ambiance is nice, no doubt about that! Notice also that their lightbulbs are attached to the wooden "peels" that chefs use to put the pizzas in the oven. It was a nice touch. I also can't get over their slogan "All We Knead is Love". It kinda supports all the pizza memes we have these days.
Service was also outstanding! Servers were quick and attentive. They also visited our table to ask us how the food was and even conversed with us a bit.
The dishes are quite pricey, given that the serving wasn't much. Our total bill reached around P1,600+ and there were just two of us (two ladies). No left overs, too! We finished everything we ordered. It wasn't easy, but we finished it anyway.
Overall, I have nothing to complain about this restaurant. Everything just made me happy. Will come back to try more!

Pizza: Prosciutto crudo di parma (right half) and margherita (left half)
The right half is their best seller and the left half is my best flavor, i always order margherita pizza as this is my basis to judge pizzas since this is the most common variety and it has all the basic topping from a pizza, cheese and tomato, the basil which represents the fresh element. Overall their pizza is good, crust had that perfect crisp, toppings were evenly distributed, and the combination of toppings blended in perfect harmony
Salad: chicken salad
The name is so straight forward, grilled chicken fillet strips combined with parm and an array of lettuce with some mayo dressing, salad is as simple as its name, quality wise it is good indeed
Their pizza is good for 3-4 people depending on the number of dishes you order along with it, salad on the other hand is good for 2 people, 3 if you ought to make it an appetizer.
Service was good, crew are attentive and courteous 🏻

|ooloo rendezvoos on a Thursday night with Pam L. and Gwen I. from the crew and a mix of reviewers - the usual suspects Ruth D., Ruth S. and Mary Love S., Kevinross B. who I've met from Fely J's rendezvoos and those that I've met for the first time - EJ B., Patrick V. and Angela Marie C..
Been wanting to visit Peperoni Pizzeria but never had the chance so this rendezvoos was the perfect time! I didn't let the rain nor the traffic hinder me and I got to the location just in time. I was welcomed by Mikee, marketing head, and Andrew Chan, the owner/president, himself. Can I just say that he was a very simple guy and was very fun to talk to?!? And very young too! Seriously, he was so friendly and accommodating, it felt like he was a fellow foodie!
We got to chat a lot and found out that Peperoni Pizzeria is a franchise from SG. It was actually one of Andrew's favorite pizza place when he was still finishing his undergraduate course in SG. He was so passionate about Peperoni Pizzeria and since he was a regular customer before, he knew almost every tidbit of their products - the ingredients, the method of cooking, the taste, his favorites, etc etc. He told us that the Les Amis Group chanced upon his father, owner of CMG Philippines that carries CLN, and partnered with them to bring the brand here. Isn't it cool how a former patron became a franchise owner in his country?
The place was brightly lit and has a relaxed and chill vibe with choice interiors. Industrial design with drop lamps, shelves filled with wine, specialty beers, huge tomato sauce cans, pasta filled jars, pizza boxes and some faux greens - it was simple, casual but stylish! They were able to properly mix materials for texture and contrast - wood, metal, bricks, unfinished walls - resulting to overall clean interiors with splashes of colors and here and there. They also had clean white walls that served as canvass for some framed pictures.
Andrew prepared a feast for us. We started off with some appetizers --
> Calamari Fritti for 355Php
- No fuss deep fried squid rings that were crunchy outside with that perfect golden brown color. Loved that the squid was perfectly cooked - tender and easy to chew. Came in with lemon mayo and arrabbiata sauce. Perfect starter!
> Funghi Portobello con Pollo for 455Php
- I'm not much of a mushroom lover because I've been fed too much canned button mushrooms when I was young but I'm slowly loving em mushrooms now (except for canned button mushrooms, im sarry). I was kinda skeptical with this appetizer but what the, I still dove into it and I'm happy to report that I LOVED IT! Whole Portobello mushroom that has been deep-fried, I love the crunch from the breading. This was served on a bed of greens, topped with sauteed chicken fillet in a red wine sauce. Chicken was tender and the sauce was so good! A contrast of sweet and salty, the red wine sauce was the perfect pair to the mushroom.
Onto the Pasta, we were able to try the Aglio Olio e Peperoncino and Andrew got a bowl of Carbonara when the last batch of loolooers came in.
> Aglio Olio e Peperoncino for 340Php
- This pasta is so simple, no meat, no need for cream or tomato sauce, but when it's done right, it could steal the show! Good thing Peperoni's version did not disappoint! It was so good I could eat an entire serving all by myself! Al dente pasta, olive oil, garlic and red chili - that's it! Just the right garlic kick, just enough black pepper and herbs, just the right amount of olive oil plus the spiciness was on point. Yummy!
> Carbonara for 445Php
- Carbonara is the safest pasta you can order when you see it in the menu. Peperoni's Carbonara is a bacon lover's dream come true! Al dente pasta in a light cream sauce with LOTS OF BACON!!! Seriously, there's just a lot. It's creamy and salty delicious! Sure hit for kids as well.
Then we got to sample some of their pizza variants - fifteen flavors, thin crust and baked in a wood-fire brick oven. According to Andrew, this ensures that each pizza will cook fast and evenly. Also, all of their pizza flavors are priced equally to give people the chance to choose what they really want instead of choosing based on the price. Genius! You can also combine up to two flavors in one!
Of all the variants, Bacon Miele and Prosciutto Crudo di Parma were my favorites.
> Bacon Miele was the only white cheese pizza in their menu. With a base of gouda cheese instead of the usual tomato sauce, this pizza was loaded with smokey bacon chunks, fresh oregano and just the right amount of honey to give it it's signature sweet and savory contrast. I loved every bit of this and even searched through the boxes to make sure that I'll bring the extra slices home!
> Prosciutto Crudo di Parma is your best bet if you want the ultimate bang for your buck! It has all the expensive ingredients - prosciutto crudo (oh my gosh my favorite!!!), which is the uncooked version of prosciutto, mozzarella, cheddar cheese and a nice rocket salad - arugula and fresh shavings of Parmesan cheese. I loved the contrast of sweet, salty and bitter flavors and each bite will give you a good portion of the each ingredient.
> Diavola is next in my list. Not a Pepperoni Pizza kind of gal because I find it boring with no other ingredients going on but I must admit that Peperoni's version changed my mind. They obviously didn't scrimp on the good stuff - loads of pepperoni slices, gooey mozzarella and the tomato base had this distinct freshness in it that didn't taste like your ordinary tomato sauce. It was somewhat sweet and sour at the same time.
> Pancetta was something different. It's more like your "breakfast" pizza because it has soft egg in the middle surrounded by tomatoes and pancetta which is basically like bacon. It was kinda weird to be honest. You have to break and spread out the soft egg before taking a slice. It was like eating my favorite childhood breakfast - toast with ketchup and mashed sunny side-up egg. It's good but not something that everyone will like.
Just a little note, pancetta = cured pork belly. When the pork belly is smoked after being cured, then, that's bacon. Prosciutto is cured ham, usually sliced thinly and served uncooked.
> Least favorite was the Quattrro Formaggi. Maybe because I like my four cheese pizza in a white sauce rather than red. This has mozzarella, taleggio, scarmoza and gorgonzola cheese which stood out as expected.
Now my favorite part of all - DESSERT!!! We tried three out of the six in their menu.
> Tortino al Cioccolato for 365Php
- My top dessert for the night! Warm chocolate cake that wasn't too heavy nor too light but still with a rich chocolate flavor, baked with a molten center. Each spoonful was oozing with chocolaty goodness. Add a dollop of vanilla ice cream to break the chocolate flavor monotony a little and you're good to go.
> Tiramisu for 275Php
- Not bad at all! I'm no Tiramisu expert and I've only tried a couple but I liked Peperoni's version. Savoiardi Lady Fingers soaked in a mixture of aromatic coffee with kahlua, layered with a rich and creamy mascarpone. It's plated nicely with some fresh strawberry slices, strawberry syrup and a dusting of cocoa powder. This could have been knockout if it had a stronger coffee and liquor taste.
> Crème Brûlée for 240Php - I would like to love this one because the vanilla bean custard had a nice vanilla flavor in it, creamy and smooth but it was just too runny for a crème brûlée. Would have been best if it was a little solid or firm.
Overall, I loved our dinner at Peperoni Pizzeria. Andrew was such a generous host that he had us bring home boxes of pizza! Excited to bring my family here! And oh, good news for foodies living in the QC area! They are set to open a branch in UP Town Center this coming September!

Peperoni Pizzeria, Uptown Mall
It's always fun to join a |ooloo rendezvoos. Aside from free, overflowing food, I learn more about the establishments we visit.
It is interesting to know that CMG Philippines, a company known in the shoe retail industry, was the one to close the deal with Singapore's Les Amis Group in opening up a Peperoni Pizzeria branch here in Manila. And that's thanks to owner Andrew Chan who was actually a regular customer of Peperoni in Singapore during the time he was studying there. It was a really cool story, how their eventual partnership happened.
So for the rendezvoos, our gracious hosts, owner Andrew and Marketing Head Mikee, served us the following:
🔹 Calamari Fritti. Deep fried squid rings served with 2 dips, lemon mayo and arrabbiata sauce. This was good. The squid wasn't too chewy.
🔹 Funghi Portobello con Pollo. This is deep fried portobello with sauteed chicken fillets in red wine sauce. This was good but could be a little tastier.
🔹Aglio Olio e Peperoncino. Pasta with sliced garlic and red chili in olive oil. I've always loved this simple dish. Good thing the spiciness of Peperoni's version was tolerable for me. Pasta was al dente.
🔹Quattro Formagi Pizza. Mozzarella, taleggio, scamorza, gorgonzola. Can't really differentiate and can't tell how many kinds are on it but as long as it's really cheesy, it's all good!
🔹Bacon Miele Pizza. ULTIMATE FAVORITE. I tried this during my first visit. Loved it then, love it still.
🔹Diavola Pizza. Pepperoni. Another simple one that I really like.
🔹Pancetta Pizza. This had cured bacon, tomatoes, and soft egg. This was a little weird for me. I'm not sure if it's something I'd try again as I can't quite explain its taste.
🔹Prosciutto Crudo Di Parma Pizza. Parma ham and salad on a pizza. Sometimes I like arugula, sometimes I don't. But if it's on a pizza, I'll take it.
🔹Tiramisu. I love that the coffee and kahlua flavors of their tiramisu are not too overpowering nor too subtle. Just right.
🔹Creme Brulee. A little runny but the caramel layer was perfect.
🔹Tortino al Cioccolato. Choco lava cake. I liked this but it's a dessert I would have to share.

What do you do when someone puts 5 delicious-looking pizzas in front of you? You forget about the word 'diet' and unleash the patay-gutom within.
I immediately said 'Yes' when I received Peanut D's email. Pizza na, sa baba lang ng office namin yung place so swak na swak! 🏻
When I arrived, I met Mikee and Andrew, the marketing head and the owner, respectively.. and of course I also met fellow looloo reviewers! (First rendezvoos kaya medyo pa-shy muna.)
While waiting for the others, we had the chance to talk to Mikee who explained to us that Peperoni is the first F&B venture of CMG Philippines. They franchised it from Singapore where Andrew went to regularly during his college days. They're opening their second branch in UP Town soon so North peeps can enjoy Peperoni as well!🏻
Okay chibog time!
They first served the Calamari Fritti(P355) and the Funghi Portobello con Pollo.(P455). The calamari came with two sauces, lemon mayo and arabiatta, but the arabiatta was the winner. I liked the red wine sauce and the crunch of the portobello. Both were definitely panalo! 🏻
Next they served the pasta, Aglio Olio e Peperoncino(P340). The pasta was cooked perfectly! It was a little spicy for me but I liked the garlic-y taste that it had. The serving is good enough to share I think.
And then came the pizzas!
I first got a taste of the Bacon Miele(Bacon, honey, fresh oregano, gouda cheese) which was specially made for the PH as they know Filipinos love salty & sweet. They tried it in SG and it became a hit there as well! I looove bacon. It was a little sweet for me. Just a little bit. But It was good!
Then I tried the Pancetta(Cured bacon, sliced tomatoes and soft egg). It was a little mushy maybe because the pizza got soaked in the soft egg but I loved the flavor.
Next, the Pepperoni & Quattro Formaggi (Mozzarela, Talaggio, Scamorza and Gorgonzola). I liked the Pepperoni more than the crowd favorite, the four cheese, just because it had more flavor in my opinion.
Lastly, the pizza with the dahon! Lol. The Prosciutto Crudo di Parma(Parma ham and rocket salad). Damn medyo lumalaban. It was really hard to slice. This was just OK for me. Hirap lang kainin I guess kaya di masyadong pak na pak.

They served Tiramisu(P275), Crème Brulee(P240) and Tortino al Cioccolato(P365). Not a fan of the Tiramisu, it was kinda mushy for me although the presentation was beautiful! I loved the Crème Brulee & Tortino. Especially the molten chocolate cake! It was not overly sweet and it was rich, moist. Damn! I wish the serving was bigger though. Baka maka-tatlo ako nito. Huhu. The candied pistachios that came with it were also great.
Overall, it was a great first rendezvoos! The food was great, the hosts and fellow reviewers were awesome. It was nice meeting you all Gwen, Pam, Ruth, Clarissa, Kevin, Mary Love, Ruth and of course Mikee & Andrew (Kung nababasa niyo man 'to. 🏻) And it was great seeing EJ & Angela again!

It is always a joy to receive an invite from Peanut D to join a looloo rendezvoos. But this time I was more excited because the rendenzvoos took place at a restaurant that I really wanted to try. Why? BECAUSE PIZZA!!! Lol
When I arrived at the place, I noticed how bright and tidy their interior was. Everything was in place which gave me an impression of a very clean and organized restaurant. I was first greeted by the owner, Andrew and their head of marketing, Mikee. I honestly thought they were also looloo reviewers too coz they look so young! Haha! One of the best things about joining looloo rendezvoos is to be able to talk to the owner and ask more about the background of the restaurant. And while waiting for others, I had a chat with Andrew. He said that this was their first try out F&B since their main business is CMG Philippines, a leading brand of footwear for women. He used to be a regular customer of Peperoni back in Singapore during his college days where the Italian restaurant originated and then soon became an owner here in the PH when the owners chanced upon his dad while looking for business partners to bring Peperoni Pizzeria here in the Philippines.
Now to the food:
Raspberry Iced Tea – I like raspberry flavor, so I liked this one! It wasn’t that evident since I didn’t want to fill up my tummy with liquid and not be able to eat as much pizza that I wanted. Haha!
🍽 Calamari Fritti – Deep fried squid rings with lemon mayo and arrabiatta sauce was one of the appetizers that was served to us. The squid was really good! Not chewy at all. For the sauce, arrabiatta was my favorite.
🍽 Funghi Portobello con Pollo – Deep fried whole Portobello with sautéed chicken fillet in red wine sauce. I really liked this one too! Nice crunch to the dish!
Aglo Olio e Peperoncino – An oil based pasta with garlic and some chili. The pasta was cooked perfectly, but for me the flavor wasn’t enough. I needed a little bit more of saltiness and less more of that burnt garlic taste. Yup, the garlic was burnt. I’m not sure if that was intentional.
Diavola (Pepperoni) Pizza – The pepperoni they used was a bit too salty for me. This pizza was ok.
Prosciutto crudo di parma (Parma ham & rocket salad) – This was my favorite! I expected this to be salty too because it had parma ham, but wasn’t! Maybe because of the rocket salad? It’s nice to have fresh greens on a pizza rich in cheese and meat.
Pancette (Cured bacon, sliced tomatoes & soft egg) – This is a cool concept where the soft egg in the middle of the pizza would be broken down to spread the yolk all over the pizza before slicing it, but for me was another salty pizza. L
Quattro Formaggi – Really good pizza! I’ve always been a fan of 4 cheese pizza.
🍽 Tiramisu Cake – Not a big fan of Tiramisu so it was just ok for me. It has more of a coffee flavor that I can barely taste the alcohol. (Not saying that I was looking for the alcohol. I’m just saying in case you’re wondering. Haha)
🍽 Crème Brule – Another so-so dessert for me.
🍽 Totino al cioccolato – SOLID 5/5! This was my favorite out off desserts I tried! A rich molten chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream and candied pistachio might be the highlight of my experience here. I really loved the balanced in density and sweetness of the cake! A must try! 🏼
Overall, there were some dishes that I liked and didn’t like, but the good about their pizzas is that their topping are pretty straight forward. Nothing very fancy or not to much toppings to make sure each pizza stands out. If you’re not sure of what to choose, here are my recommendations:

An email from Peanut D marks the start of (crash) diet. With all the scheduled eat ups, I had to make more tummy space for… more food. I tried my best to have smaller meals but realized after a spoonful or two that such is an impossible task. And no shortcut could prepare me for last night’s rendezvoos. (Yes, looloo uses double o’s because 1) looloo has two double o’s and 2) why not?!)
Hello, Peperoni Pizzeria!
Firs off, thank you so much for waiting for us! I know we were a couple of hours late but we still felt the warm welcome. Thank you too for allowing three superb pizzas sit for 2 hours for us to take photos. I did my best to take nice photos of it.
Our gracious host, Andrew, asked Ruth S and I what we want to try right after our brief greeting. Still awkward from our unacceptable tardiness, we asked for the pizzas to be heated. But Andrew refused and had us order one pasta and he also had a half-half of Prosciutto Crudo di Parma and Bacon Miele (PHP380, 9” | PHP565, 12” | PHP1,250, 21”) and Tortino al Cioccolato (PHP365). For our pasta, we chose Aglio Olio e Peperocino (PHP340).
First served was the half and half pizza and it sure smelled so good. I got a whiff of the sweet aroma of honey and the sharp smell of cheese as soon as the plate was served. The pasta and dessert were served soon after and we didn’t even notice it as we were busy taking photos of the picturesque half and half pizza. After a few more snapshots, we started to dig in.
The pasta was cooked al dente and had a garlicky and slightly spicy taste. One order is definitely great for sharing; though one won’t have any trouble finishing a bowl alone as the dish isn’t cloying.
The Prosciutto Crudo di Parma could get very salty because of the thin cured ham topping so make sure that you enjoy each mouthful with some rocket salad to offset the saltiness.
The Bacon Miele was something new to me. The pizza sure was salty too because of the generous serving of bacon bits and gouda cheese. But the saltiness of these two favorites were somehow balanced by the sweetness of the honey and refreshing flavor of oregano. The toppings just didn’t blend so well though as there were some parts that were too salty or too sweet.
After finishing my pizza slices, I began to devour the heavenly molten chocolate cake.
It sure was moist, rich and not an inch short of being called divine. It had the right amount of sweetness and density. It wasn’t light nor heavy making it the perfect dessert to cap the night. It went well with the scoop of vanilla ice cream which created a nice play between the warm lava cake and the cold sweet ending. I also loved the candied pistachio and strawberry bits which added texture and burst of different flavors to the dessert. I would definitely go back for more of this!
Overall, it was a fun night! I discovered a new dessert favorite and I got a chance to catch up with friends and meet other looloo-ers. Thank you, looloo and Peperoni!

Ironman ka ba? E bat nag-ka-carboloading ka?
It's my first sponsored |ooloo rendezvoos in the metro! Woot woot! It was such great timing too cause I got a few days off after our huge event in Cebu, Ironman 70.3, and the resto to visit had to be a pizzeria. Carboload pa more! So glad I was a part of the meet up, even though I arrived horribly late. Hahaha Cebuana na nga ako, di na sanay sa traffic sa Manila.
Anyhoo, when I finally arrived, most of them were done eating entreés already and were prepping for desserts. I wasn't able to try the apps na. It was very nice of their owner, Sir Andrew Chan to offer me my own bowl of pasta, so I can enjoy it while it's hot. It was a choice between Aglio Olio or Carbonara and I ordered the cream based pasta in a heartbeat. The Carbonara was fantastic! It was creamy and perfectly seasoned and had a generous amount of bacon! I absolutely loved it!
I gotta say, service here is excellent, both kitchen service and dining service! It may be that the brand was franchised from Singapore, but the kitchen service is very Italian, and the dining service is very Filipino. Each of their staff was respectful and had a sense of urgency to assist. It was a very nice experience. Kudos to the training here, it is really on point! 🏼
As for the pizzas, my favorite was the Bacon Miele. According to Mikee, their Marketing Officer, they really created this pizza flavor to cater to the Filipino palette. Pinoys are known to love the sweet-savory type, and I couldn't agree more. The Gouda cheese gave the pizza a depth in flavor and the honey and bacon gave it a bold finish. I really loved this dish! Lawrd ansarap!
It's nice when you're late cause people will also not notice how much you eat, it'll only be obvious with what you write. Hahahaha I loved their pizza with the parma ham and arugula. The greens tasted fresh and they did not scrimp on the toppings! The 4 cheese pizza was great, as well as their pepperoni, but still the Bacon Miele just slayed me, I had to have a second slice of it!
In terms of pricing, I looked at their menu and it can be on the pricey side, but it's well justified by the ingredients and as mentioned, service. It's cool that they have the same price for all of their pizzas, plus you can even have two flavors for one pizza, which gives you more chances of sampling their creations! Everything we had last night was paid for by Peperoni Pizzeria.
For desserts, my favorite was their Tiramisu. I have been a fan of this pick me up dessert, and this one surely did the trick too. The flavors were on point and the presentation was just lovely. This was the same for all their desserts too. The molten chocolate cake was rich and delicious and even their choice of garnish was spot on. EJ B. and I particularly loved the candied pistachios that the owner gave us each a glass of vanilla ice cream with those as toppings. Omagawrd, ansarap! This was a totally nice gesture again because this isn't even on their menu. This only shows they're very flexible and anticipating to guests' requests as well!
All in all, Peperoni surely is a great place to eat, and I will definitely come back! I can't wait for their branch in UP Town Center to open so I can take my family there! It's also way closer to my house. Hehehe

Entering the bright and spacious Peperoni Pizzeria, we met the handsome owner Andrew Chan of Peperoni Pizzeria with his attractive Marketing Associate Mikee and talked about Peperoni Pizzeria. Honestly had high expectations of the place after reading the reviews and even getting recommendations from people - but yes, the place did disappoint.
I ordered the Bacon Miele which was recommended to me by the staff who took my order it being the specialty of the joint - I was suspicious when it did arrive to the table. It had a soggy practically "liquidy" center. It tasted like a mixture of oil and water.
The bacon bits I got were more fat than bacon which left a fatty taste in your mouth more than bacon goodness (yes, they made bacon taste bad) and the cheese - ends up very gooey too - which is good on normal days since it's supposed to be like that, but this had that liquidy substance mixed on it. I couldn't even get the triangle slice off the place since the center would break because of the liquid.
I'd take a picture of how it looks now but I ended up eating it with a spoon and the fork, after cutting it with the knife. I wasn't kidding with that since I did have to scoop what I was eating.
Did not finish the pizza, decided to eat something else elsewhere to fill me up.
The saving grace is service was pretty good, staff were well mannered and attentive.
But you come for the food, and the food was bad. Php475 for a personal pizza is steep too. Will not recommend the place at all!

A new Italian restaurant concept has recently opened up in the new Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City. This new restaurant is under the management of the group “Les Amis” from Singapore that has the last few years expanded quite dramatically in South East Asia and are also now present here in the Philippines. We can for sure expect more of the many different restaurant concepts from this group to expand here. Worth mentioning is that I enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the flagship restaurant “Les Amis” in Singapore last year.
I am having a very simple lunch with my family on a Sunday. We order two types of pizza and two types of pasta. Service is friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, there is nothing special with the food. The two pizzas are made of a mixture of Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese the courteous waiter informs me. When I ask him the brand name of the cheese and the fat content of the cheese, he needs to ask the people in the kitchen. The reason why I want to know this information is that the cheese has a funny taste that reminds me of processed cheese. Perhaps a big part of the cheese used for the pizzas in this restaurant is even so called “Vegetarian” or worse “Vegan” cheese. The waiter returns quickly and explains that the kitchen does not know. The cheese is being delivered to the restaurant in sealed bags without any brand name. “it’s a secret ingredient” the waiter jokes.
Perhaps the management of Pepperoni can reply to my query with a comment below this review.
1, Is there any processed cheese used in the restaurant?
2, Are there any soy protein in any of the cheeses being used in this restaurant?
3, Has any oils, like coconut, palm oil or other oils been used in the manufacturing of the cheese?
4, And lastly how has the cheese been made to coagulate during manufacturing? Was any agar product, or flour, like Tapioca used during the coagulation process?
There is nothing special with the two pastas that we order either. The waiter gives me the choice of choosing my own types of pasta to the sauces I want. I choose Linguine and Penne. The pasta is very well cooked with a nice “al Dente” bite. Nothing wrong perhaps with the two sauces either but on the other hand nothing special either. I have one Arrabiata for 385 PHP and a Bolognese for 395. The portions are not really big. I find them too small to share. And I think the prize is way too high. Please note that the pasta served in Pepperoni is dried pasta. It is not made in the restaurant fresh. It would be interesting to see the food cost of this restaurant. I think that the owners here can be in for a hefty profit if people will find the prices reasonable. I, on the other hand do not think the prices are reasonable. Also the drinks have quite a markup price. This is not a cheap place, making me guess that the franchise fee is very high?
It will be interesting to follow the expansion of Pepperoni Pizzeria in The Philippines. I am pretty sure that this year we will see this brand opening up branches in more or less all malls in the country. Perhaps we will also see a lot of the other brands managed by the Les Amis group. I am more than happy to welcome them. If I will go and eat there is another question? It will for sure take a while before I return to Peperoni Pizzeria in BGC.

✔️ Mushroom Soup - theirs is on the savory side. Not creamy. Still liked it though. Our baby daughter Chloe liked it so much that she was given a set of plastic utensils to use. Bravo for their attention to detail and being kid friendly.
〰 Frutti di Mare - I agree that the noodles are quite hard . The sauce is pretty standard for a marinara but it somehow lacks a key element that I can't put a finger on. Don't get me wrong it's not that bad. In fact it's flavorful and we still devoured all of it.
✔️ Bacon Miele (Pizza 1/2) - LOVE it! Sweet, Salty and cheesy! Never have I thought of drizzling honey on pizza. LOVE it!
✖️ Prosciutto Crudo di Parma (Pizza 2/2) - didn't quite enjoy it much. It's very hard to get a slice out of it. If you do try to bite straight into it you will find yourself wrestling your teeth with the ham for quite a while. I'd rather have a whole Bacon Miele next time. (Note: We had the Arugula on the side since the wifey didn't like it's aftertaste.)
✖️Bruschetta al Pomodoro - just skip this and get another pizza instead.

It's a pizza shop so should I have not opted for the pasta?
I ordered pesto. the pasta was tough and tasted like paper. it was also very dry. The chicken tasted like it was frozen then thrown inti the pan for 3 kins.
The staff claims it is all fresh but I doubt it. This isn't The Sandwich Guy where you can toss everything together after freezing sub par ingredients. To be fair, the pesto from TSG seems better.

I was hankering for pizza for quite sometime but it was hard for me to get out of Mandaluyong and Pasig area because of so many things to complete. I waited for my rest day and ate lunch at Peperoni Pizzeria.
I did a bit of research about the restaurant and there are two kinds of pizza that customers usually order, Prosciutto Crudo di Parma and Bacon Miele. I wanted to try them both kaso masasayang ang sobra. The server said that if I get 12-inch or 21-inch, I can choose two kinds. I got the former, para namang kaya ko mag isa ang 21, palabiro pala mga server dito.
Peperoni Pizzeria's pizza are all thin crust and wood-fired. They weren't joking about the crust because it was super thin. It was served in 10 minutes nadaig pa nila extraction scene ni quicksilver. sweet dreams are made of this .
I super enjoyed their Bacon Miele. It has the salty-sweet flavor from the bacon and honey and little bit of freshness from the oregano. Threw in a few chili flakes and loads of tabasco sauce, phew! Spicy good! The Prosciutto Crudo di Parma was like healthy pizza for me. Love the parma ham with arugula.
I ordered Aglio Olio e Peperoncino and opted for cappelini. It's a simple looking pasta but it was very pleasing to the palate. Light and not too greasy. This is the perfect pair for their pizza. The pizza have bold flavors and getting carbonara won't help. Baka hindi mo pa maubos sa umay.
Service 5 stars! No glasses empty and they checked back to ask about the food twice.

I love pizzas! It's my comfort food, my worth-every-penny, source of happiness foodie! So this is a must-try place for me!
And i actually liked the thin crust pizza. Ordered salmon, half with 4 cheese and i liked how it's not like shakey's crust with so much air! Haha. Very soft, looks freshly kneaded plus the cheeses are soooooooo incredibly yummmmsss!
Ordered bolognese and it's so-so. Spicy chicken: not that spicy but okay.
I'll try singapore's authentic in a few days, and see if it's same hahahah!
