One Cubano, please? 128513

I have always wanted to try Pepi Cubano ever since but... Makati traffic. Plus the location isn't that easy to go to. 128533 So when they joined Gourmand Market, I didn't let the opportunity pass without trying them during the last event.

Just like Banh Mi and Grilled Cheese sandwiches, there was a time that a lot of people were raving about Cubano sandwiches. I am a sandwich person, I'd rather have sandwich over rice so I usually find restaurants or places that serves really good and interesting sandwiches. Pepi Cubano is included in my must try sandwiches list. 128513

Ordered the Pepi Cubano (250). Made with slow-roasted pork loin marinated in a secret sauce, with ham, pickles and mustard. They prepare the sandwiches right in front of you. From being a very big and fat bread, they'll press it and toast it for a couple if minutes. After pressing it, they'll brush it with a lot of butter(??) before wrapping it. What you'll be given is a hot and super greasy flat sandwich. 128563

This is my first ever Cubano sandwich and I have no idea how an authentic one tastes but this was pretty yummy and tasty!! Really liked how packed the sandwich was. Just a bit oily and messy to eat but totally worth it. I enjoyed every bite of this one - the combination of the porkloin, ham, pickles and mustard with the buttery oily and oh so crunchy bread just worked so well together. 128513128077🏼

Best cubanos is manila hands down! These toasted sandwiches are perfect anytime of the day. Try the classic pepi cubanos with ham, slow-roasted marinated pork loin, pickles, and mustard. The pan de bistek with sirloin beef, onions, and jalapeno are also good.

I'm not an expert as to how a good and perfect cubano should taste like, all I know is that I really enjoyed their Pepi Cubano sandwich 128077128523 . Plus points coz their servers are all nice 128079.

I was in the mood for some sandwiches after my Ayala Museum tour so I decided to give Pepi Cubano another try. Rachel T introduced this place to me before. Pepi Cubano serves Cuban Sandwiches.

I ordered Media Noche, a combination of ham, cheese and pickles. For a price of Php 150, it seems pricey however, the size of it is big enough to fill your hungry stomach. I decided to take out my sandwich as I was the only one in the restaurant at that time. The cuban sandwiches that they serve here are really flat and hot, perfect for an on the go meal if you are in a hurry.

After Finding Dory we decided to scout the stalls at Supermanly Eats.  Okay,  i have my eye on Pepi Cubano days before the event.  I am in awe of their Cubano Sandwiches.

This is CMA's first time to get acquainted with Pepi hence I decided to get the classic.

Pepi Cubano for him and Pan De Bisteca for  me.   As always both sandwiches are fantastic.  Want to make it 10x awesome?  Here's a lil tip:

Mix Judas and Matahari,  dip dem crispy cubanos and you have a keeper.  The namea listed above are artisan hot sauce and honey from Traydor.

And yes,  we finished both sandwiches,  that's how famished we are.

Pepi joins Gourmand!  Yey!  *happy dance* I missed them when they joined the Katips weekend market,  the stall was no longer there when we visited UPTC.

I've read a lot of rave reviews about Pepi and i was glad that i dont have waze to get to their Legazpi branch.  Their menu is straightforward,  cubano sandwiches of different variants.  The classic cubano,  the one with lechon,  ham and cheese and guava jam and cream cheese.

I opted for the classic.  A heavenly combination of porkloin,  ham,  mustard and a baguette slathered with butter.  This is good - crunchy and tangy (because of the mustard).  It's all sorts of delicious.  A lil steep at php 250, but it's worth it.

They had a stall in The Gourmand Market in BGC. The logo and their name caught our attention.

We went for their best seller which was also named Pepi Cubano, a grilled sandwich with marinated pork loin, ham, mustard and pickles. I have no idea what a good cubano should taste like. This sandwich was ok but lacked flavor. Hubby liked it though and he ate it with the hot sauce they offered. Maybe I'm just partial to sandwiches with cheese. I liked the taste and texture of the bread. Our sandwich was ready in about 10 minutes and we walked around while eating. This 6-7 inch Pepi Cubano set us back by P250.

Quaint little sandwich shop near the office. I pop in one day and think, this is nice. Tried their signature Pepi Cubano sandwich and liked it! Its like a buttered and grilled panini with roast porkloin, ham, cheese, and mustard. The mustard went deliciously well with the pork and after the first bite i then thought to myself... This is some good stuff!

Its good to wash it all down with their aguas frutas, their version of a fruit punch which isnt bad at all!

The cigarro cubanos were just *mehhh* for me though. Its their dessert - banana and chocolate sauce fritters in the shape of a lumpia, okay okay, a Cuban cigar. Mine was cold and soggy. It would have been nice if they prepared them fresh so customers could have them hot and crispy!

Had to have their basic Pepi Cubano which I loved! The mix of flavors on this Cuban sandwich just worked to give that spot on flavor. It's really good to pair it with some coffee. Great for merienda or dinner! 128523

I didn't really dine but I was able to taste their sandwiches because I went to a Megaworld event today and they were the food sponsor. My friend got these for me as I was waiting for him there. The bread were crispy and was really delicious! I am going to their restaurant within this week to FORMALLY review them. I just had to post this because it tasted really good especially the one with (I think) roastbeef and jalapeños. Anyone who ate here before? 128076🏽

For last night's visit with Chachi L i ordered the pan de guyabano which is a combination of guyabano jam (my 1st time to try a guyabano jam), cheese and cream cheese worth 150 pesos. No meat for tonight.

The combination of the jam and cheeses were complimenting each other. The taste of the jam was not so strong yet still you can taste it. The amount of cheese serving was also generous, it was oozing out in every bite. The bread was served crispy and hot.

This is somewhat a self service restaurant, so you have to order at the counter, get the food at the counter once your number is called and get your ordered drink at the fridge on your own. Pay 1st before they serve your order.

Was a bit hesitant to try this sandwich place as i think it was a bit pricey for the size of the sandwich. Although a friend of mine told me that it was delicious and i always see it as a must try here in makati. The concept of the resto was also quite interesting for me.

The resto is located near greenbelt 5. Very accessible for those here in makati. It is also open until 12 midnight.

I ordered the tito choripan which has chorizo with chimichurri sauce (green colored parsely sauce) with a bit of jalapeno which cost 200 pesos.

The choripan when served was made flat and was toasted. It looked like a panini sandwich. The sandwich's taste was not very strong and was a bit spicy although i noticed it was oily. The sandwich looked small because it was flattened but as i was about to finish the 2nd slice of the sandwich my stomach was already feeling full.

Btw they don't have service water so you have to buy a 25 pesos mineral water.

It was a good place to chill and catch up with friends as the sounds are subtle although you'll be facing the walls as they don't have seats facing each other.

I know I must have heard of Pepi Cubano around the time Chef was making the rounds of social media. Back then I had no idea how to get their sandwiches. Then a friend posted on Facebook that they were on dry run at their new place in Makati, so I went there and got a cubano. I loved it!

This time, I was walking home and feeling out of sorts after a long day, so I decided to stop by to get the next day's baon lunch. I asked the guy at the counter what their best seller is besides the cubano, and he pointed me to Pan de Bistecca - a medley of sliced beef, onions, bell pepper and jalapeño, which gives a bit of heat to the sandwich. I liked this sandwich more than the chicken one, and I see why it's a bestseller. Even after several hours, it still tasted great and more importantly, easy to handle. One sandwich is actually too much for a light lunch, so I took half of it home to eat another time. It ogt a little more spicy because the jalapeño had bled into the sandwich a bit more, but the bread was still in good shape and crunchy without disintegrating. Sobrang sulit! #12Days

These extremely addictive cuban sandwiches could be great for snacks but i believe that its better to have them for breakfast or lunch. These cuban sandwiches are quite heavy and an order of one sandwich can be enjoyed by two already. Tried the Pepi Cubano (sandwich)and it is filling indeed! Couldn't wait to try out the other variants.

The place looks cool withs its huge cuban art frames and has a very simple, cozy, upbeat theme but with limited dining space (around 10-12 pax).

Pepi Cubano is tucked in one of the buildings at Gallardo St, (nearer Dela Rosa St.). Parking space can accommodate at most two cars.

Was expecting a "ooohhhh sobrang sarap" reaction after my first bite based from several reviews. Unfortunately, my reaction was "okay, okay naman, pwede na" hahaha

At Php250 for the Pepi Cubano, it's quite expensive. This would fall under my "will not go out of my way just to eat here" category of places to eat.

Tip: Try the Media Noche instead of Pepi Cubano. It tastes the same but cheaper at Php150 128521
