No matter how many dishes I have tried here, the Beef Pepper Rice is still my favorite and the main reason I keep coming back. Quality and taste has remained consistent through the years.

Hubby liked his Double Beef Hamburg with Egg and everything that cane with it. The burger patty, the sauce and the mashed potatoes were actually good but I still love my Beef Pepper Rice. We enjoyed the Kani Shake Shake Salad too. Nakakgigil though when I have to mix it up and shake the container.

My first time to actually enter into the innermost part of this branch. It looked smaller from the outside.

Ah, Pepper Lunch! Been a long time since I last ate here so decided to eat here again when I was in Powerplant. I'm not very patient and usually tend to burn my tongue, destroying my taste buds every time I eat here. This time was not an exception haha.

Veered away from the usual Beef Pepper Rice and got their Teriyaki Beef Pepper Rice With Egg. It comes with a side of teriyaki sauce with a bit of sesame seeds and obviously the egg, and some corn haha. It costs 240 pesos, more if you want to add more beef, etc.

The beef serving is a bit paltry in comparison to the rice, which is a lot. And if you're like me who carefully calculates the ulam-rice ratio for ultimate flavor balance (haha ano daw), you'll end up with a bit of leftover rice.

Tastes good, I mixed up their teriyaki sauce with their brown honey sauce thing (so good!!) on their tables. Still wish the dish had more beef, though.

Our second stop - Pepper Lunch Express.

This is my ultimate favorite among all the places I have tried in the Philippines. I like it because it's delicious, fun to eat and the price is reasonable. I wouldn't let my buddy fly back to BCD without trying this. We both had Beef Pepper Rice which is simply the best! Enough said..

BTW

PEPPER LUNCH is now open in Bacolod!

Everytime I pass by this place during lunch time, theres always a long queue...so I wondered whats special..
Thankfully, I got a buy 1 get 1 coupon of their beef pepper rice. 128513
I immediately went to the nearest branch to try it with an officemate 128513
The beef pepper rice cost around 205 only and so I only paid 100+ for it yey!

All I can say is that the food is too salty, too oily and too fatty 128562 I'm sorry but its a crappy meal 128586
sakto na sa 100+. I wont ever pay 205 for it..
Me and my officemate were just like "choosy pa ba sa 100+?" 128514
It was very filling though.. I guess people are just queuing for the quantity 128513

I and my friend went here for lunch during an interview. The service was a little slow; however, the staffs were really accommodating and they have the initiative to follow up our orders even without us asking for it. The food was good, as always. 128513

Always a favorite, even tried the vendo style pepper lunch in Japan!

While it's pretty big here in Manila, they're hole in the wall places in Japan for quick meals.

If you and anyone in your group is ordering the same soft drink as you, ask for the refill instead of the separate order of the same drink. You'll only be charged half price for another glass of the same drink.

They always offered this when I was living in Singapore, but they never mention it here in Manila.

Haven't had pepper lunch for so long. So after my friends and I watched a movie we headed down to pepper lunch. Service was fast and good as usual. No pun intended. Only downside is we noticed the price has gone up a few pesos. But its not much to stop us from having a our fave feel good in the tummy meal! Miso soup is good! Will try their new desserts next time!

Apparently, Pepper Lunch serves lamb now. I had the Lamb Pepper Rice (Php 249) for dinner, except I messed it up in the worst way possible.

It was served similar to their regular orders, but it had bits of chopped garlic over the meat. I noticed it, but because I usually love their Garlic Honey sauce, I still poured it over my meal, and I may have overdone it. After mixing it up, it was so salty! I forced myself to finish it because I needed the extra energy for my shift at the Silver Bells bazaar in Rockwell Tent, but I generally disliked it.

Still, I'm giving it three stars because it may have been my fault why an otherwise good meal was ruined, and because the taste of the lamb was exactly how I expected it to be -- earthy and distinct.

The Lamb Pepper Rice and the Italian Lamb Steak is available until Dec 31, 2014 only! Be sure to try it out for yourself.

Also, if you happen to be around Rockwell today, please drop by Rockwell Tent and check out my business, Twine, at Booth 12! It's our second and last day here, and I'd love to share with you our bags made out of local raffia fiber. You may also check us out on Facebook: facebook.com/Twine.PH and Instagram @twine.ph to learn more about our bags! Heehee. 9786

Beef Pepper Rice is 10084️! I always make an additional order of beef so I can finish the rice. Not really much of a rice eater but I can finish their rice serving.

Their Miso Soup, Kani Salad and Shrimp Pasta are all good too! 128077

Pepper Lunch has always been one of my favorite places to dine in Rockwell since it opened in 2008!

The quality of their food is always consistent and even though sometimes you have to wait a while I be seated, once you have ordered and taken your seat... It doesn't take very long until your food is served.

I always used to get the chicken pepper rice before and only recently switched to their curry beef pepper rice which is better by miles!! So much more flavor that you barely need to put any of the garlic or honey sauce that is provided on your table. I remember the servings used to be much bigger (or maybe I was just smaller?) but yeah, servings seem to be a little smaller but still very filling!

I haven't been here in a while and was surprised to see that they now have pastas on their menu? I found that a little strange but I'd still go back to try it!

For the price that you pay, it's difficult to go wrong. It's not fast food and it's cheaper than other restaurants in Rockwell! Definitely a favorite.

Chicken pepper rice overload!
I always had tongue burns on being too overly excited for eating this! Sooo good!
The chicken was fresh and flavorful! The flavors was always consistent. I always like their something honey sauce. 128513

Their service was always at its full speed without sacrificing the food. 128077
Me and my friend had fun staying here. The place was convenient, not noisy and calm--its just cool to dine in here.
Though I notice that their prices changes on different locations 128532

Something has really changed.. I would say that for the first time I did not enjoy my food which seems to be the only dish I would normally order in this establishment (considering that this is the least expensive yet still a kind of tummy-filling dish they offer). It did not taste so good anymore unlike before!

Why I find it so bad tasting:
- Not served with Japanese rice 127834
- Chicken did not taste fresh 128534
- Honey brown sauce was not savory

Guess I would have to think twice next time before dining at PL again. 128078128078

Who else had the same experience?

First time to try pasta in Pepper Lunch. Something for a change.

This one was kinda pricey as compared to their usual rice meals. It was worth Php 318 to be exact.

The pasta was just okay, but the sausage it came with was not so good. Zygphryg C and Gianne C agrees as well.

Maybe I should just stick to my usual order, Chicken or Beef Pepper Rice. 128517128517128517

I've been to Pepper Lunch on numerous occasions and branches already. Today though, I'm having my Pepper Lunch fix in Rockwell.

The Pepper Lunch menu has evolved to some extent already since they have extended it to include pastas, crepe cakes and coffee jelly! In the beginning, I found their prices relative to their serving sizes pretty balanced but recently, the beef in their beef pepper rice has been becoming less and less. I have no complaints with regard to taste though especially when you put in that delightful honey sauce! The biggest problem you can ever have is when you're hungry and get burned for eating the food too early, too fast.

Ready to have your tastebuds water? Then, head to a Pepper Lunch near you! 978610084

Back then, they've got bigger serving without paying extra amount but still, kept coming back for beef pepper rice and their sauce. 100841008410084

Tried their kani salad, it was good. Tried their ice creams too, not that bad.
