Our go to Persian resto in Makati. We ordered our usual: beef kebab. What I like about their rice meals is that it comes with biryani rice and lotsa butter!!! 128525 Huge disappointment though with their shawarma rice dish. Hope Ababu can make an appearance in Makati. Huhu.

Beef has always been my preferred choice of meat so whenever we eat kebab, shawarma, or any Mediterranean dish, I always get beef.

When looking at the menu, I was curious of their Chelo Kebab Barg - grilled tenderloin beef cubes, but I was also craving for the usual beef kebab. Good thing they had a combi - Chelo Kebab Mahksos (P395)! 128077🏼 I wanted to get a yogurt shake, but I controlled myself because my wallet was saying no.

I enjoyed the beef kebab since it was very flavorful and packs quite a punch with the spices - not that it was spicy. 128540 The tenderloin beef cubes were so-so, it was quite tough and lacking some flavor. I compensated it with their signature yogurt dip, plus the spicy sauce. 128514

I love middle eastern cuisine! So I grabbed the chance when I was around the area today. I came in at 5pm today and there were only 2 tables occupied. I like that it wasn't packed at the time. Great ambience too.

I ordered my favorite - Chelo Kebab Barg. Sirloin beef (not the ground beef). So yummy! I had mine well done so it was a tad bit chewy. I love the unlimited white sauce and the Baba Ghanoush siding. For my drink, I had the melon shake with yogurt. It was a bit sweet for my taste and the yogurt overpowered the melon taste. It was alright I guess.

So full! 128077🏼

My first time to try persia grill's biryani dish which was chosen by Teemee T. Been a regular customer of Persia grill but i always order their tika business meal.

When the biryani beef first arrived on our table my first thought was "where is the beef?" Apparently the beef was hidden under those long soft yellow coated rice grains. There were roughly 6 pcs of beefs underneath the rice. The beef was soft and tastey. I like the beef dipped with the regular sauce served in persia grill than the special sauce which was served with it. There were 3 kinds of special sauce served with the biryani (yogurt, gravy and some veggies). I also noticed that i didn't feel full immediately with the biryani rice unlike the rice usually served in other restaurants which are not long grain. What i just didn't like about the biryani rice was those tiny raisins-like bits mixed in it. I didn't know what it was but i just separated it whenever i see one, it's not that plenty anyway.

We also ordered their hummus, the pita bread served with the hummus were quite few, thin and toasted when served but i think the batch served to us was toasted to much as there were burnt portions underneath.

Service and price was ok. Teemee T and i shared the 2 dishes. Not so many people eating here during dinner time.

I liked the beef kebabs and it captured the taste of the beef really well. The biryani rice is commendable as well although for the price there are better alternatives.

Our go-to place for comfort. We end up getting our favorites - mine a lamb kebab that NEVER disappoints. I love the flavor and i also love their rice! So, OK, i tortured myself and am now craving for kebab at this hour. Tsk.

The service has improved from the first few times i've eaten here. Water refill is never slow. The tables are sorta near each other that if the place is packed, the person in the next table can join in your conversation which almost happened. Haha!

I was about to go home but I was so hungry last night. Then on my way to search for something to eat, I met inso Eunice S and she told me that there was a P125 meal at Persia Grill. I thought that was cheap for that restaurant coz I heard dining there was expensive. The meal that my inso told me was actually P150.

If you want the same thing, just tell them BM1(served with plain rice, tomato, and yogurt dip). I chose Beef Kebab. Soo good! Yes please 127926 128522 I liked their beef kebab! So soft 10084️ and the yogurt dip matched it well. There was an additional P30 for Persian rice. I really liked the Persian Rice! It was different from the usual rice. It was Longer and easier to chew. And it felt like I wasn't eating anything. Plus the butter on top of it 128525 I wanted to eat more but I didn't 128514 Service charge was P30.

Ambiance was great! Very relaxing. Dim lights..

I think this place is good for a date 128522 You could hear each other well. The music was funny for us. It wasn't loud. It was like for dancing. Quite romantic.. 128514 Their service was good also. 128077🏼

I would definitely eat here again! 128522 For me, it was worth it! 128076🏼

There were three weeks of torture when no one wanted to go with me to satisfy a mediterranean craving. Despite my efforts to get some chicken kebab in a nearby resto, those were futile because the craving lasted longer. On an unexpected walk, my feet led me to Persia grill and order the lamb kebab.

As i waited patiently for my order, i was given a steak knife (to kill myself or a noisy seatmate). When my meal arrived, i prepped sauces on top and took my time slicing up the meat. The aroma was familiar but didn't hit a switch. As soon i took a bite, i wanted to scream! ZOMG!!! This was exactly what I was looking for! Needless to say, i enjoyed the rest of my meal. I paid around P500 for it, though.

Was STARVING and I just kept walking and walking for food and didn't have anything in mind. Infigured that kebabs would do and was supposed to eat In Balkan. Ended up walking in the other direction for Persia grill. I got the combo chicken and beef and it tasted delicious. Anything was great at this point, I guess.

Woohoooo!!!! Long grain rice for the win!!! :)

Wow! This day just keeps getting better, huh? I deviated from my usual order of chicken morg kebab and rice and chose the lamb kofta burger.
That was a wrong call, because the basmati looked so good today! Ugh! My order came in late and smaller than I expected. The meat was good and flavorful but the chips tasted like they came out of a package. I had the tomatoes on the side but it wasn't much either. 128553

What is up, universe?

This is definitely one of those good places to get your Mediterranean fix. Got their Chicken Biryani which was so flavorful. The chicken was very tender. I had no trouble deboning it. Couple it up w/some fruit yogurt shake, and you've got one Persian dining experience! 128523

Here, classics from the Middle East such as kebab, and shawarma are what resident yuppies of Makati flock to.

While waiting to watch Godzilla in Greenbelt last weekend, I felt like having some Arab food. So Paolo, and I headed over to Persia Grill, which was close enough for is to make it back in time to catch the movie. This place is nostalgic for me, because I used to frequent their branch in the University Mall, near La Salle, at Taft Avenue, and treat myself to a lamb burger whenever I was stressed out over an exam, or a paper, or whatever.

I got a tenderloin, and ground beef kebab platter with grilled tomatoes, and an herbed yogurt dip on the side. The tender loin kebab didn't quite meet my expectations. The meat was sliced too thin and cooked all the way through which made it chewy and a little dry. Although the combination of potent spices, which is a staple in Persian cuisine, seasoned the meat just enough to allow it's flavor to remain apparent. The ground beef kebab on the other hand was a lot better. Its juices spilled out, and it crumbled apart with each bite. I liked the way it was seasoned too. The herbed yogurt dip was legit; unlike at some establishments where mayo is mixed in as an extender. It was light, aromatic, and tangy; a great way to add an element of freshness to the dish. One of the grilled tomatoes cooked down enough so that it turned out sweet, and fork tender with a wrinkly, and charred surface, but the other was still raw as it tasted sour and was firm to the touch. They use basmati rice instead of plain rice, which adds points for authenticity and it was cooked nicely; the grains were fluffy, and moist, and there was a liberal amount of butter plopped down on top of it which I loved. Overall, this meal wasn't bad.

Paolo had a beef shawarma. The fillings were as generous as I remember; it probably had 50 - 60 % meat. I took a bite out of it and I was so pleased that the meat was really tasty, and succulent, maybe because theres a higher fat content in the cut typically used for shawarma. The lettuce, onions, and tomatoes were crisp and vibrant, and the pita was soft and warm. Snaps for this dish!

The interiors invoke an eclectic theme with sitars mounted on the walls, and framed by arches. The mood is set with warm, and dim lighting. Although it feels kind of cramped as the tables are tightly bunched together, and it tends to get pretty crowded during peak hours.

Their service is somewhat slow due to being understaffed, yet the waiters are patient and willing to answer any questions you might have about anything on the menu, and so on.

The prices are budget friendly, if that compensates for where their service falls short.

Politically incorrect because they call their moutabal as baba ganoush (persian does not equal israeli), this place deserves 4 stars because their food tastes mighty fine. The price is the same as uncle moe's and hassan's but is technically much more expensive because their servings do not equal both. However their crunchy ox brain and very very very very tasty beef shawarma forgives them for this otherwise political travesty :)

Tried my usual Liver/Tomato/Onion and Pita Bread combo. Food is great though serving can be more generous. Keema was also okay together with Persian Rice.
