Watched the FIFA World Cup Qualifier match between the Philippine Azkals and Uzbekistan last Tuesday night.

It was a really tough match facing an opponent more or less 50 ranks higher. But a loss of 5-1 is not bad for such a disadvantage.

It was a rainy evening. It was raining hard before and during the first 10-15 minutes of the game. The wind caused the seats in the grandstand to become wet. Everyone had to move back for a while. There were plenty of vacant seats (which is sad) so there was space for us to move.

I was annoyed by whoever was managing the place because they only had 1 gate open. It was raining hard and there was a huge line of spectators waiting to get in. Most people were already wet before they thought of opening the other gates. Stupid.

But then again, I am still in awe of this Stadium. World Class indeed! One of the only things I give thanks to the INC for. 128521

Watched the 2018 World Cup Qualifying match between The Philippine Azkals and Bahrain last June 11 I think it was.

This is was a historical event as the Azkals have built their strongest team yet. And having done the world cup qualifier at the PSS.

Good thing there were some organizations and groups who offered shuttle services from Trinoma to get the venue. Without it, I would have had no idea how to get there.

The stadium was stunning inside and out. Gate was easy to find, seats were easy to find. Comfortable and nice view all around. World class I could say. Thanks talaga INC. Haha.

The match was very tight. Bahrain was a lot more physical than the Azkals, but the national team's teamwork and tactics worked against one of the tougher opponents in the first group stage of the qualifiers.

The match ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of the Azkals.

There will be another match coming up this September at the PSS against Uzbekistan. The toughest opponent in the group. Let's support the Azkals in their rally to reach the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. 128522128522128522

Came here last Saturday to watch the Volcanoes trounce Sri Lanka, but it happened the orher way round.

Nonetheless, the stadium is brand spanking new, and still on what I suppose you would call a soft opening. Toilets were super clean, and worked.

Only unfortunate thing, or depends on how you see it, perhaps funny, is that they opted to use the 'trés soshaal' word 'vomitory' to describe the entrances to the stadium. See the green sign in the pic. But guess what, that word has now stuck so in my head that I can't think of another option.

Ah yes. Volcanoes? That's the Philippine national rugby union team.
