This is our go-to place if we want to eat out but with lesser guilt. 128517

Fresh salad and veggies! But their meat was not really tender. It was well cooked, but I find it hard to chew on some of its pieces, but the taste was ok.

I just hope that they'd be able to do something about the flies inside their dining area.

What's for lunch for a chilly Monday? Nothing else but a beef noodle soup from pho hoa. I know it's not really authentic Vietnamese restaurant but it always hit the spot. Plus with the sriracha. 128523128165128165128165128293128293128293

Their spring rolls is the saving factor abd their vermicelli soup is good but one sad point when we asked for a soup refill the waiter tokd us that by the next refill they will charge us additional 45 pesos well charging extra 45 pesos for a customer who is paying more than 2 grand is a big let down. Maybe if we are only ordering their soup they have the right to charge us extra

Had my lunch here courtesy of our GM. Because twas late lunch he ordered the ff: ( not exactly the name of the dish)
1. Fish cake
2. Bagoong rice
3. Chicken pandan
4. Padthai ( noodles at Mythai)
5. A soup ( hot soup with shrimp with squeeze of lemon)
6. Halaan sauteed in spoces. ( usually sa bahay sinabawan lng ito using luya )

A good bowl of Pho can cure any weirdness and bad feelings you have. Since I was not feeling well this morning, I asked for some Pho and Fresh Spring Rolls from the hubby. Pho Hoa is our go to when it comes to such cravings.

He got exactly what I wanted! That HUGE bowl of Pho that has generous heaping of beef, flank and meat balls. The glass noodles were perfect and the soup was just what I was looking for - rich beef flavor with distinctly asian spices and that therapeutic smell of it all. Ahhhhh....it will never be a good bowl sans the fresh and crunchy bean sprouts and herbs.

Then hubby also got me two orders of their Fresh Spring Rolls. Tiny rolls filled with glass noodles, fresh veggies and a tiny little piece of shrimp all wrapped up in rice paper. Top each with their thick peanut sauce and you'll get a deliciously fresh party inside your mouth!

Can't get enough! I had both for lunch and dinner and I'm thinking of the same tomorrow 128513128518

My Pho Hoa staple: Vermicelli Bowl which is made up of grilled pork, vegetables and spring rolls! Thanks to my former boss for introducing this to me. We used to split this meal whenever we dine here. Though I can't obviously let go of the pork, this meal still feels like a healthy bite to me. Must be because of the veggies and spring rolls. Anyway, been to Vietnam a few years back and was quite sad because I actually liked the spring rolls here better! It must be me?! I dunno, am I the only one who feels that way? Now I feel less cultured haha!

A word of caution though that this place gets filled during lunch time catering to all the McKinley Hill peeps.

Basta may PhoHoa, ginhawa ka! Hahaha no, I seriously did not write that. Lols! *I hope you remember that 90s jingle 128539

I really like Pho Hoa, or maybe because Vietnamese food is naturally vegetarian-friendly. As usual, I ordered the vegetarian spring rolls with my fave Sriracha "rooster" sauce! A new dish I think I will order again is the crispy tofu! Reminds me of Nomnomnom's Tokwa't Tokwa!

Good: Vietnamese fresh spring rolls, Sriracha
Bad: Let me think

Pho is just eh, but what I do enjoy ordering is the chicken and egg roll vermicelli bowl. It's light but filling, flavorful, and hits the spot when you're not tryna eat some thing too heavy or unhealthy.

Great service, generous portions, and flavourful food. Recommend the fresh spring rolls and beef stew pho. The seafood pho isn't as good and doesn't have great ingredients (crab sticks and fish balls instead of proper seafood) but overall it's a great place.
