We came here to barbecue, but unfortunately we didn't find out about renting a grill rack until the chicken was already on the coals. Fortunately my husband was familiar with cooking directly on the coal because it's a great technique for red meats. The chicken of course ended up with very burnt skin, but the meat underneath still tasted great.

Anyhow, back to the park. What I liked about it was the fresh, cool air and the view of the lake. The big disappointment was the overall state of the place. There was quite a bit of trash that didn't make it into the bins (or perhaps blew away), and everything was quite deteriorated. For a park that charges an entrance fee I have to say that it hardly seemed to be maintained at all. I've been to free parks, abroad as well as in the Philippines, that were a lot nicer.

That being said, it was a nice place for a little BBQ/picnic and our daughter enjoyed running up and down all the "grassy" slopes. However, as with many tourist spots in the Philippines, there were always vendors approaching us and trying to sell something. Overall I'd say the place is OK because a trip down to Tagaytay is always nice and if you want to grill your own food I'm pretty sure this is one of the few places where you can.

Went here at the afternoon and because it's a long weekend, this place is quite crowded, nothing has changed except for the new rides like there are now 2 zip lines.

Cool breeze and beautiful scenery. That's what made me love this place.

This place is older than me, I think. Lol. But really, it's one of the nicest tourist spots in Tagaytay that I bet mostly everyone has ever gone to there at some point. It's chilly, and a great place to bond with your family. 128515128515128515128515128515

Went here to try the zipline. 128517 I haven't been able to do that in my whole life, so no judging. Hahaha 128516 I wanted to try the one that's like flying and not sitting down like rappelling but beggars can't be choosers. We had a tight schedule so we just went for it.

It was a quick ride, bit I'm still glad we did it. Plus the scenic view of Taal was just ab awesome plus to the experience. 128525

This would probably be the last zipline experience in Tagaytay, but I will definitely try more adventure experiences like these in other Philippine tourist spots with beautiful views! 127775127775127775127775

Cheap entrance fee, not-so-cheap amenities. PhP200 for a one-way zipline ride, PhP350 for an hour of horseback riding. Have to say, I love the horse - it's very nice!

Tagaytay is not the cool windy place it used to be, but given Manila's crazy heat index, I would rather be here. 128526

We were here with the whole Fam two Saturdays ago. Older sister decided to spend a day here with her kids and my mom and me...i'm like 'okay!' May bata (nephew) sige sa picnic grove! I even cooked Adobo for all of us pang Lunch! *wink! 128540

For many times i went in and out of Tags already...with friends, with hubby, with my Boss...
This is my first time to actually go here in Picnic Grove..(parang bata lang di ba?) Anyway, it was crowded (but not tooo much, lol!) as I expected it..
but the weather..ang sarap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear I didn't enjoy it this way before...though i miss my hubby so much!......picnic, cold breeze, happy kids (include me pls!)

I loved the Pine Treeeees!! Ang dami eh...And the cold cold wind talaga! And honestly, i am excited to see na dito pala yung zip line nila...and hanging bridge and the breathtaking view!!!!128525128525128525128525

Ang KJ lang ng self ko sa may zipline...i was left alone waited for them at the stairs before going down to the Zipline area and hanging bridge coz i felt dizzy and nauseous upon seeing the tall height below...128532 waaah didn't even managed to go down the steep stairs going to the bridge! Could've done it if hubby's here I'm sure...sob..128554 (haha emotera!)

Our last stop from our weekend getaway. We loved the cold winds and fresh air. We also loved the sceneries. And we finally get to try the zipline! It was so awesome! We felt so dauntless while riding the zipline! Its P400 for a 2 way ride plus 2 free souvenir pictures during weekends. It was worth every penny! It was such a fun experience! It is scary at first, my knees actually got shaky on our first try but we still managed to ride it again for the second time, we just needed to scream our hearts out! Haha. Overall experience was superb, we had an awesome stay in Tagaytay! Having a major #sepanx now 128557

you would miss half of your entire visit in Tagaytay if you haven't visit this place.. i've visited this place twice plang yta and I never get tired loving it.. the best place to hang out when going to tagaytay...matatanaw mo din dito ang Mt. Taal , and yung fog na makapal..
Although Baguio is much colder, I don't mind..
Tagaytay is nearer in Manila than Baguio right?

I actually have a lot of photos here kya lang nasa old ericson phone ko and di ko pa natatransfer dito sa Iphone..but I have some copy in fb...i'll search later and will edit this kung umabot hehe

Huli kong punta dito is last, last year pa , when we celebrated my cousin's birthday and his granny in father side..sabay sila,.then after namin dito nag E.K kami , yung matatanda namin kasama di lang nasama..

This is one of lovie's kidnap date series 128584
Wherein, again, i was kidnapped, this time together with my sister. 128514
I thought it's just a typical date. I fell asleep akala ko kasi sa manila lang kami pupunta or intramuros since that's the farthest we can go.
But wait, nagising ako nasa toll gate na kami so panicked again 128584 and asked them where the hell are we going then they just laughed at me 128553

originally picnic grove is our destination to do the zipline thingy but there are manongs and ates waving their cards showing a boat ride and horse back riding going to taal's crater.
And then the rest is history128584
At first i was scared because they'll show you the way and they said they need to ride with us. So medj kinabahan ako nagready nako ng mga possible defense move na pwede kong gawin 128584
But turns out it's safe naman, what's not safe is our wallets! We are not informed na madaming hidden charges.
Akala namen 1500 is for the boat back and forth together na with the horse back riding since 3 lang kami.
guess we were wrong pag dating namen sa kabilang side nanghingi sila ng payment for the horse 128557
4k daw!128557
We were so shocked kasi wala ng atrasan kasi andito na kami nothing else to do. Hayy nako mga pinoy talaga 128533
My haggling skills were put in to a test 128553
Buti natawaran, at the end of the day narealize ko worth it naman because of the experience and we had fun.

Then we came back to picnic grove to do our original plan, zipline 128522128077

Picnic Grove!!!!

This is a backlog. The time when my boyf and I went here for a date. Picnic was one of our bucketlist and he surprised me when he actually cooked for our lunch. 128584

I think this place is the first tourist spot Ive been when it was my first time to Tagaytay.

It has cottages for picnics, a horseback riding and a restaurant inside. You can also find mini stores for your pasalubongs. You just have to pay Php50 as entrance fee.

Used to be nice back then but now, they lack maintenance with the place. Garbages everywhere. We werent comfortable to place a mat on the ground with all the dirt we saw. 128547

I just hope they wouldnt put this place into waste. They should focus on cleaning the surroundings. Plant flowering ornaments (para naman maganda sa picture taking, for the tourists) and increase the no. of activities they offer. 128513

PS. For Arjay's food, I give it five stars 127775127775127775127775127775 hahahaha!
