The whole clan decided to spend my grandfather’s birthday in Pico de Loro because he likes it there. We were also booked in Pico Sands Hotel for the whole weekend. We arrived in the hotel really early to hear Mass and eat first before checking in. We were advised by the receptionists that check in will be at 2:00pm and early check in is not possible because they were fully booked. By 2:00pm, only one of the three rooms were ready. The key cards to the two rooms were only given to us an hour after. Delaying the check-in time means shorter stay (per hour) for the guests.

The rooms were so spacious that it can accommodate more than the number of allowed guests per room. They also provided toiletries and bottled water. The bathroom was nice, too. Each room has two type of view – lagoon and mountain. The lagoon view from the balcony completes the vacation mode but you might want to avoid staying there in the morning (breakfast time) as it gets too noisy. Our room was located in the fourth floor and I can clearly hear the clang of the utensils from the ground floor. The mountain view has a boring vibe but it’s definitely quiet.

What I liked about the hotel is their recreational facilities like bowling, billiards, play place for the kids, KTV and board game rentals. Bowling lanes are usually the ones that gets filled up right away. Only a few members of the family are into billiards nor singing so we opted to play mahjong after dinner.

the pictures speak for themselves .
now the sad part.
The staff make you feel that it is your privelege to be there, rather than the other way around. 128165
Hotel guests get treated like a 2nd class citizens 128165
All Guests are forced to were a plastic wristband to determine their " caste" & what are allowed. These bands have to be replaced daily (new color) probably to prevent some kids getting to use the beach or pool "God forbid" for FREE ,
Gives a bad aftertaste .128165
The beach resto open to hotel guest commoners is cramped & open air with limited tables
You'd have wait to be served . Then I notced a bigger enclosed resto with aircon "for members only" is practically empty right beside. And to think that hotel guests pay the most & have to eat at the Sands resto's . Homeowners airbnb tenants pay less per night and most bring their own food to cook & drink to consume in their units. 128165
such a nice resort run with the wrong attitude. 128165
Makes you not want to return & actually avoid the place in the future. I checked , its owned & run by SM. Kaya pala, the culture is visitors might try to get something for free or steal.
try Tagaytay Highlands everyone is made to feel special.

My family and I spent the weekend at Pico de Loro because my brother will be celebrating his birthday and my sister will be leaving back for Australia the week after. I suggested this place since I've already been here to attend a wedding so I’ve somehow seen this place and I knew that my parents would like the vibe here.

We booked 2 rooms online at the Pico Sands Hotel, 1 Family Package which is good for 4 - we got the Premier Mountain View Room which has 2 Queen beds and a Superior Mountain View Room with 1 King bed. The booking process was quite easy, and they only asked a prepayment charge with the rest of the amount payable at the hotel upon checkout.

I personally loved the place because of its relaxing & quiet ambience. Despite the fact that the place was fully booked, there wasn’t a time where it became too crowded (well except maybe during the breakfast buffet lol) - there was enough room for everyone and everything else. But transportation to and from everywhere else isn’t a problem too. There were cabs roaming around every few minutes which will take you wherever you wanna go.

The beach area is of course my favorite place; the water is cool and there were no jellyfish in the shore. The sand is fine as well, perfect for walking barefoot. There were lifeguards watching over the swimmers and there’s this little bar that serves drinks and some food too. We got pizza and some drinks while waiting for the sun to set. They have beach chairs available for free and they have small cottages that you can pay for about 700php/4 hours. You can do water activities too but I’m not familiar with the prices but you can ask the concierge for that.

We went to the pool after the beach closed (they only allow swimmers until 6pm for safety purposes), and they have like 4 overlapping pools - I don’t know if the term is right but its like a big pool that’s divided into smaller ones - with the biggest one turned into an infinity pool. The pools are not deep with 4.5ft being the deepest. There’s also a restaurant overlooking the pool area but we weren’t able to dine there. Probably next visit :) We had dinner at the restaurant near the lobby instead. I’ll just say, all of us were satisfied with our food. They have a variety of food items you can choose from - one of us had pasta, the other had Lomi, the other had Lechon Kawali and Rice, and I think my mom got a sandwich - will probably make a separate review for this hehe

The staff was very friendly and they have wifi EVERYWHERE! Even at the beach! Haha

The whole place is so huge, so I wasn’t able to maximize all their facilities in a day but its definitely the place to go if you need some quiet time away from the city with family. Will definitely be back! 127946

It was the perfect family getaway!!! We made the right decision of choosing Pico Sands Hotel for our family vacation this semestral break.

Nestled along the beautiful tropical paradise of Pico De Loro Cove in Nasugbu Batangas, Pico Sands Hotel gave us a breeze of fresh air and scenic view of the lush mountains. As we enter the hotel lobby, we were greeted by welcome smile from the staff and complimentary calamansi drinks. The staff are warm, helpful and knowledgeable. They gave recommendation on activities within the resort.

After our quick check in, we were strucked by the beauty and cleanliness of our deluxe mountain view room. The toilet was modern, clean and well maintained as well.

As we are excited to stroll around, we went down right away to the hotel lobby and rode the complimentary shuttle. It gave us a quick view of the resort and its recreational facilities.

The hotel is adequately equipped with facilities which catered to both young and old alike. There is a minimal fee that applies to some facilities like bowling, billiards, kids play area etc.

My mother in law had the most relaxing experience at Rain, The Spa. The massage lasted for 90 minutes and gave a soothing remedy to her tired body.

My husband decided to spend time at the Lagoa restaurant. He ordered their featured appetizers - fish and chips and assorted sausages. Both dishes came with complimentary bottle of beer for their Octoberfest Halloween promo. While food taste is on the average, servings are good for 2 persons which is worth your money. He enjoyed his appetizers while drinking cold bottles of beer with a picturesque view of the infinity pool.

My morning was spent at the beautiful Pico Beach, my favorite place in the resort. Imagine this - relaxing under the sun, getting carried away with the soothing waves and magnificent view of the blue skies while sipping a tall glass of fresh mango shake! Literally, I spend several hours in this wonderful place!

My 6 year old daughter hurriedly changed into her swimsuit and went straight to the swimming pool. The resort boosts of a variety of pools - infinity, bubble, slide and pool with falls. The swimming area was perfectly designed to suit the needs of guests of all ages. There were swimming beds situated in the middle pool so even babies get to have their share of water fun. Life guards are always on-the-look out for the guests in the pool.

My 1 year old baby boy managed to spend 2 hours in the playroom called Club Pico. Its an indoor play area for kids aged 6 and below. Its fully equipped with jump trampoline, slide for toddlers and kids, pool of colorful balls and crafts/coloring area. Both my kids had fond memories of their playful experience.

I could go on and on sharing our wonderful experience that is truly unique and memorable at Pico Sands Hotel. Its a beach vacation worth remembering! Definitely worth 5 stars!1280771108811088110881108811088

Went here on a summer weekend so that must be the reason why I didn't enjoy this place that much. The place is jam-packed. Good thing they have a complimentary breakfast buffet which was very delicious-- it was the redeeming factor of the trip. :)

If ever I would go back to this place-- I would most likely visit during off peak season and I might probably look for condo unit owners who are renting out their place. I think this option will be cheaper than checking in at their hotel.

Weekdays are best at Pico. Loved the hotel because the function rooms have great views so you don't feel like you are confined in a room. Ran a team building session here and it allowed me time with my son...

The hotel has Club Pico for kids. My son and I enjoyed the tunnels, trampoline, watching movies, bouncy balls...- and he enjoyed the slides and rocker alligators/horses/fish... :)

Got to play billiards and bowling. Awesome facilities and staff were all very helpful...receptionist (Ivanne) very very nice and helped explain a number of things to get us warmed up to the place.

There's horseback/pony rides, indoor full courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton... They've got several pools from 2 feet to about 5 feet for adults... The 2-foot deep pool helped my son have more fun. :)

The view from the room shows the lake with fountains. Relaxing view.

The room I got was okay. King-sized bed... Ample space, cabinets, and good-sized bathroom. Minor turn-off is the drainage system in the bathroom...we went back to our room and it was wreaking...! But eventually dissipated after we took our baths, post our beach visit.

Papaya beach was great! Calm waters.. Cool enough but not too cold. Hot day this past Friday... My son really enjoyed our swim at the beach. We also got to make sandcastles... There were free sun beds under white giant umbrellas for people to park their things under...cabanas are first come-first serve. The beach club is the only one that is members' only...

I was there 2 days,1 night, but had a great time. Late check out possible but not on weekends because it is so full on weekends. Rate is a little over 6k for the room I got inclusive of buffet breakfast for two persons.

The gym is free!!!

Other rates for non-members are as follows:

*Volleyball, frisbee, football - php200 per hour
*Bike rentals - php200-270 per hour (depending on bike size... Good for 8-15 yrs old)

On a recent weekend getaway, a few of my friends and I drove up to Batangas for an over night stay at Hamilo coast - Pico de Loro. We checked into the Pico Sands hotel, located inside the resort and conveniently located between the country club where most of the facilities are located and the beach club where we planned to spend most of our time here.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was simple but clean and service was excellent. As soon as we entered the lobby, we were served with welcome drinks. The receptionist was friendly and efficient. We were all checked in and ready for the beach in no time!

The room was spacious. We were in a superior suit with 2 queen beds and we even managed to squeeze in another extra bed in there. As you can tell there were 5 of us girls sharing the room and let me tell you, the bathroom was a wreck upon check out and I pity the cleaning lady who has to deal with it. Haha

There was free wifi offered all through out the hotel. It wasn't the fastest wifi service but I appreciated it nonetheless. There was also cable tv but we didn't make much use of that. We also had a balcony facing the pool & man made lagoon. Beds were comfy and air con was brand new so no problems with the room whatsoever. If you have to be in Pico de Loro, a stay at the Pico Sands is not too shabby, not to shabby at all.

I am here now alone. So forgive my somehow bitter review. Lol!

I learned it from a friend who had their honeymoon here and gave me a free voucher. It supposed to be for me and Clark but ... Nvm! 128540

I decided to go here with friends or family because there's no chance to use it with the real companion of me going here. I was sort of asking them if they wanna go but I got no answer.

This morning I woke up like I want run from the world for a while and have some alone time. I'm not crazy or whatever. 128540128541

Since no one wanted to come with me, I came here all alone. Yeah, ALL ALONE!!! Eh wala eh. Masasayang!!

I have no idea about the place. Didn't expect for anything too. I just want to go away.

As I arrive here, I felt like "very wrong na pumunta magisa kasi puro couple andito" but gorabels na ako. Andito na ako eh.

Wow! I was amazed with the pool. Tho there's no overlooking view. Nakaharang ang mountain. 128532

Facilities and all is good. (Hamilo Coast is owned by sm eh wala na kong tiwala sa gawa ng sm). Infairness to this huh! 128513

The place seems to be just a newly open or sadyang hindi lang talaga siya ganung tinatao pa.

I have a big room. Kasi yung nasa voucher suite room 128532 Ramdam na ramdam ko tuloy na magisa ako. 128541 The bed is too comfy. I don't wanna stand up lol. The bathroom is huge too. Bath tub and shower is exciting. Bubble bath 128703128704

This one is okay if you want to relax and if you want a not too crowded place.

I can't really say anything about other facilities because I won't going out until checking out here. 128541 But let's see tmr.
