It was a long, long time ago when I saw Pie Face's branch at Eastwood City in Libis, Quezon City. I have been intrigued by this establishment for a long while now and I only got the chance to check it out a few weeks back.

As I was in Megamall for a three day straight, back to back events, I found a lot of time to roam around and check-out new places. Aside from Makansutra, Yoh! Panda, Paper Moon Cafe, Bahn Mi and a whole lot more, Pie Face located at Megamall's Building A, ground floor level, caught mu attention given its colors and vibes.

Highlighting red in almost all of its area, Pie Face is a very straightforward, casual and simple dining area located at the supermarket of the mall. It has a small enclosed area but some of its tables and chairs are positioned at the walkway area of the mall. The nice and classy looking ceiling decors gave the establishment that comforting and inviting feels altogether.

After reading on some stories behind Pie Face, I learned that this establishment has been an Australian favorite ever since then. It is an authentic Australian pie brand that has been in the market since year 2003. Based on my readings, "Pie Face has the idea of using only premium ingredients and combining this with traditional French style light, flaky puff pastry that make their the Pie Face pies delicious."

Pie Face do offer a lot from their menu. From premium pies and quiches with flavors like Chunky Steak, Chicken and Mushroom, Mince Beef, Steak and Peppercorn, Steak, Bacon and Cheese, Butter Chicken, Double Cheeseburger, Brekkie Pie and a whole lot more to Mini Pies, Sausage Rolls, Pastries, Sandwiches, Cookies, Salads and Sides and Cakes and Slices, Pie Face almost has it all for you.

As it was already 10PM when I got there, I learned that they do offer 50% discount in some of their pies so I made sure to grab the deal so I can bring something home. I ordered the Pulled Pork and Classic Aussie Mince along with their Sweet Lemon Pie and Butterscotch ones plus their Chocolate Lava Cake.

The Puller Pork flavored pie tasted rich and tasty. The pork buts were huge and the sauce is not the usual sweet one given that I was able to taste the greens and spices in it. The Classic Aussie Mince got the taste of something that's really rich in herbs and spices too.

The Sweet Lemon Pie was so comforting for me. The combination of the sweetness and sourness were good together. This one and the Butterscotch that's too sweet for me are best eaten fresh from the refrigerator.

The Chocolate Lava Cake came in a heart shaped figure and the packaging was really good. It tasted just fine for me though.

Overall, Pie Face has some good snacks that you may want to try out when you find the time.

Pie Face offers savory pies and each pie is marked with a certain face/expression to distinguish the flavors. I was craving for something sweet so I got the Butterscotch which had a soft pie shell and a melt in your mouth creamy custard filling.

I was feeling sleepy and still had work errands so I ordered an Iced Americano. I requested for them to add sweetener or simple syrup before adding the ice. They went one step further and added Vanilla syrup free of charge.

I would love to try the Vigan Longganisa with Bacon and the Steak, Bacon & Cheese. They also serve sandwiches, pasta, turnovers and pastries.

I truly enjoyed my ME time and felt recharged.

Cute pies, flavourful savoury steak filling, but the crust is just too thick.

They have an offer of 3 mini pies (of your choice) for 135 php. As this was Teemee T and I's first time, we thought of ordering the mini pies to try it out first in small portions.

We ordered the philly cheese steak (upper left, the mouth was supposed to be an infinity symbol), chicken and mushroom (center, regular smiley face), and classic aussie mince (rightmost, the crooked smiley).

All were actually delicious i'd say but nothing much was standing out. The bread was a bit flakey which was the like of croissant doughs. While the filling was flavorful and not dry. It was also heated prior it was served. A piece of the mini pie cost 50 php so buying the box of 3 saves you 15 php. The regular sized pies cost around 100+ php. Each flavor has a different face drawn on top of the pie.

Pie Face orginated from Australia.

I don't have much to say but the pie was Ok. Nothing special or different except for the pies having happy or quirky faces. I got the chicken and mushroom which I liked better than the philly cheese steak. They also serve dessert pies and cakes which looks yummy than the emoji pies, I'll try em next time. Oh and I had a large caramel macchiato for only 169 and for me it taste good! Just don't compare the taste to high end coffee shops. The place is also a bit small with just 10 - 12 seating capacity.

Finally was able to try out Pie Face through their Megamall branch. True to reviews about this Australian food franchise, these savory pies are flavorful, filling, and affordable.

I opted to go for their mini pies so I can get to sample more of their pie variants. Among the various flavors , I loved their:

- Australian Minced Meat: a new variant. I enjoyed the sweet-savory-saucy minced meat stuffing.
- Pulled Pork: the shredded meat was nicely flavorful and tender.
- Philly Cheese Steak: I enjoyed the small tender chunks of steak with the creamy melted cream cheese
- Steak/Bacon/Cheese: the tender small chunks of steak nicely flavorful with the chopped salty bacon bits and the subtle sharpness of melted creamy cheese.

I liked their Chunky Steak- a meaty savory pie full of beefy flavor.

Their Chicken & Mushroom was just ok. I prefer the usual Chicken Pot pie over this.

The pie crust was good with a denser puff pastry consistency.

These mini savory pies, quite affordable for only 49 bucks a piece.

I just hope that they have an indicator on the pie flavors. Once boxed altogether, it was a roulette trying to figure out the stuffing of the pies. They all looked the same with the smiling face.

After all that walking, got a little hungry and wanted a snack. Decided to try Pie Face at SM Megamall Bldg A. They did not disappoint me. Promising. I git to try just 1 pie variety, which was Steak, Bacan and Cheese pie. For Php49, you get almost a palm size mini pie. Slightly bigger than a cupcake diameter. It wasn't bad at all. I noticed they also were offering soups (pumpkin was one, couldn't remember the other), salad, pasta and some dessert (apple something). Dining area, well, not much. They literally have just 4 tables in front of the cashier and display area. My goal is to try all tneir other pies, even the pasta and soup, next time. Now, I know where to go when I'm craving for pies and something light. 128512
