Bought some pies to take home. I've never tried Pie Face so I only took a couple home to try. You get a small discount if you get 3 small ones. I also got a big one just to see the difference with the minis.

The faces in the pie tell you what kind it is. I'm happy it says so in the box, which helps you decipher each one at home. The actual drawings are funny, one of my pies look like it overslept and ate too much chocolate.

It was meatier than I expected, considering the price I paid. It's a bit salty for me. Placed in a toaster until the crust crisps up, it was a good snack for about 200 pesos for everything.

I read in the other reviews from other branches that they put their pies on sale by 8:30. In this mall, when I asked, they said they give the discounts at 10PM. I think they close at a late.

I've been hearing some pretty good things about this aussie gourmet pies for quite some time now and so I was really excited hearing that the new 'face' has just arrived in town. Well, particularly at the Venice Grand Canal Mall which is just a few steps away from our office.

From their wide selection of meat pies, I settled for their bestseller which they call the Chunky Steak. If I am to match my call to the animated presentation of their pies, this one I'd easily pick an emoticon with a big grin! The flaky texture of the crust speaks so much as to how these pies were meticulously hand crafted. And just after the crunch from the outside is that rich and flavorful core that practically melts on your first bite. It's almost like unleashing the excited flavors of meat and carefully picked ingredients that were longly kept in an outstandingly crisp crust. Definitely one of the best meat pies I've tried so far!

Now let me pull the strings to reverse the grin to a frown. Their penne pasta is in desperate need of brine. I had to practically shake the salt cellars on top just for it to appeal to my tastebuds. It was just...tasteless128559

Their lemonade, though, was good. It has that perfect tartish effect controlled by sweetness. Good enough to compliment the bursting flavors of their meat pies.

I could be generous enough to give Pie Face a 4-star star rating (5 if not of the penne pasta) but I thought the crew was just snotty. Okay, let me clear that one. Snotty not in an annoying way but in a disappointing way. I'm not sure if they are just having a bad day that time but as a customer, I hoped for a service that is as warm as their pie. Besides, the last thing you need is a bad impression specially if you are the new face in town9786
