Been reading mixed reviews about this place. Is the 250-hotdog worth it? I say yes! The Tokyo Dog was relished with tempura crumbs, fresh coleslaw, and special sauces that's refreshing to the palate. Yeah, a bit pricey so it won't be a
go-to normal merienda place for me but I'd come back to try the others when meeting with friends, or when I bring my husband to try, too.

The onion rings could be improved a lot though.

After visiting the Mind Museum, we were looking for a place to eat. And then we saw a signage, "Pink's Hotdogs. Straight ahead." 128522128522128522

I wanted my final review for Halloolooween promo to be special so I finally tried Pink's Hotdogs.

128204 Location 110881108811088
If you're not from around the area, you might find it a little tricky to locate the place. It's address is at the ground floor of Shangri-la The Fort and you would assume it's near the lobby of the hotel. But no, you just have to cross BHS Central and you'll find a row of restaurants and café and Pink's is 2nd among many.

128204 Variety 110881108811088
I think they offer a good variety of hotdogs, fries, and milkshakes that you can choose from depending on your cravings.

128204 Taste 110881108811088
Ordered the famous Hollywood dog - and although it had a nice crunch to it at first bite, I think overall it was just ok. The chili and cheese on top didn't really give any wow factor to it. Adding the disappointment was the stale bread they used 128533

128204 Price 1108811088
Paying P280 for that hotdog sandwich was definitely not worth it. That price should've had bigger serving and better tasting dogs. Sorry.

So overall, it was just okay. Would I go back? Maybe. Next time. Just to try out other variations that might do better for me.

This is typical american food full of unhealthy stuff but let's admit we do like it. I tried the famous hollywood legend combination of chili and cheddar its full of flavor and its exploding in my mouth so good. Chicago dog is also good very tasty and the best chesse fries all i wanted in a fries are here very chessy i can eat this everyday. The place is good but but expensive for a hotdog.

Ordered their Philly Dog. It was good, the hotdog was indeed tasty, tender and juicy; the bread soft and the toppings were a good complement. For the 295 price, I think it's ok. What's not ok is their "home brewed iced tea" priced at 145! It tasted watered down, and can hardly taste the tea flavor. Should've ordered their overpriced coke in can, at least you know what you're getting.

I will come back for the hotdogs. 128076🏻

Last night, i asked the folks to have a quick dinner at Pink's. Good thing we have the Metro Parking Annual Card handy so parking was free at Shangri-La at The Fort. We wanted to have our picture taken by the mascot board up front but people were sitting in front of it so we entered and took our seats. We ordered a side of chili, the chili cheese fries and the texas hotdog. 'Ate' at the cash register was very nice and even gave us a loyalty card - 10th hotdog free. Service was quick after 5 minutes our order was ready.

No more water served on San Mig grande bottles which i think is a good thing. The chili was so good and had the right amount of spice. It is loaded with cheese on top too. The chili cheese fries was equally good - it had jalapenos which kicked it up a bit on the hot department. The Texas Hotdog was filled with cheese, chili, bacon and coleslaw. My Mom even exclaimed that it tasted like the ones she had when she was young, the PX hotdogs from the 1950s - 1960s. She was very pleased with the flavors. Price for the hotdogs can be too much for some, 250pesos. Senior cards honored.

We love the interiors and the seats were comfy. The sound though was blasting in our ears since the speakers were right above us. Overall it was a good dining

Been waiting for this burger moment. I just ordered naked hotdog, onion rings and cheeseburger. Their burger is like sweet ecstasy. The bun, patty and veggies are fresh.

Service is great! It is definitely a must-visit place for hotdog lovers. My son loves the All Day Breakfast Hotdog. I love the Don't Mess with my Mexican Hotdog! Burgers are great too but hotdogs are far greater than the burgers. The onion rings are perfect with yor sandwich orders and you can get unlimited dip!

Had dinner here with a friend one night, just to see what was so special about their hotdogs that convinced customers to pay at least PHP250 for each order.

First impression--the cashier wasn't too accommodating; when asked what their bestsellers were, seemed as if she just called out whichever she felt like reading from the menu. I also got excited when I saw that they served A&W rootbeer, so I asked if what was priced in the menu (PHP80) was already the float version. She said yes. Fortunately my friend warned that that was just the canned drink and the float would cost me PHP250. Really? Thanks but no thanks.

I ordered the Breakfast All Day hotdog while my friend got the one that was supposed to be spicy (forgot the name; not good sign). We split our food into halves so we can taste each other's orders. Sadly, there was nothing amazing about it. A kid would have done the same job of putting together a hotdog in a bun with a sunny-side-up egg and some fried potato thingies (for my case) or a hotdog in a bun with green peppers, some jalapenos, and some pseudo-spicy sauce (for my friend's case). The hotdogs were placed on miniscule plates, so we had a bit of a hard time eating.

They also had card games and gameboards available. I borrowed the Uno cards but couldn't exactly remember how to play it. Asked one of their staff members, but she also doesn't know how. Not her job, I know, but would have been plus points.

Overall, not sure what the buzz is about (or if there is a buzz in the first place), but I find nothing special about this diner. Food was surprisingly filling but quite overpriced. Customer service can be improved. Ambiance was fine. Personally, highlight of my experience--their hand soap smelled like apples. 'Nuff said.

I've been reading a lot of mixed reviews about Pink's but it's not gonna stop me from trying to dine here. Its location was just very well thought of, and even the front office staff of Shangri-La at the Fort recommended for us to visit the restaurant! We decided to have lunch here. 128568

We were seated in one of the high tables near the door. The place was nice, with low and high chairs and tables. The decorations were vibrant and colorful and were more casual. I particularly liked the hanging Chuck Taylors here and there. 128568

Daddy went for The Hollywood Legend (Php 280). It was a really really good chili dog! The chili itself was outstanding! Mommy had the Chicago Dog (Php 250). It was very tangy what with all the pickles, but I liked this too. 128568

The boyfriend had the Breakfast All Day Dog (Php 250). I really liked this too! Well, you wouldn't go wrong with bacon anyway! 128568

My sister and I had Don't Mess with Texas (Php 250). It was the perfect choice for me with all my favorite food as toppings! He hotdog itself was very tender and flavorful! Bacon, onion rings, coleslaw, cheese and barbecue sauce, just writing about it made my mouth water again! 128569 I absolutely loved it! It was just messy to eat, pang first date. Hahaha 128571

We all shared an order of their Onion Rings (Php 150) and Homemade French Fries (Php 140) which I thought were both great too! 128571 For my beverage, I tried Farmacy's Rootbeer Float (Php 270) and it was great! 128568

Generally, it was a great meal! It can be expensive, but then again this meal was my dad's treat to us so no harm done. Hahahaha 128569

The good:
- The signature chili is out of this world, damn good chili right here.
- The hotdogs have that fabled 'snap'. I honestly wasn't aware of this prior and couldn't care less as long as the hotdogs tasted good. 128517 The hollywood legend and the east LA hotdog with bacon are both A+ sandwiches.
- The fries were amazing, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned really well.
- The burger was glorious! Magnificent! It didnt look much size-wize, but once you take a bite... the crunch from the fresh veggies combined with the juicy flavors from the perfectly grilled patty, chili, and cheese was just heavenly. Taste-wise their burgers have IT! And i'm not even much of a burger fan.

The not-so-good:
- The price!!!!!! 128549

While i have no doubts about the quality of the food here, the portions/serving size and overall experience isn't something i'd justify myself to pay this much for. I mean, cmon, around P700 for a regular sized serving of a chili dog, chili fries, and a flavored iced tea? Around for P500 for a regular sized bacon wrapped dog, plain fries, and a flavored soda? P300++ for a burger that wasn't ginormous? But the burger was hella good and, in fairness, the patty was meaty, juicy, and bigger than the buns. 128522

But no matter how good i found it, paying this much for hotdogs and fries is insane. The same type of food, or specifically, brand that regular joe's enjoy on the street in the US.

I actually recalled childhood experiences eating in the old Orange Julius after trying Pinks. I almost had the same thing back then: a regular sized chili dog, chili fries, and pineapple juice. I loved it! And came back again and again. And it was what it was... food for regular folks priced for regular folks. Not food for regular folks with society pricing. 128547

This is why i'd still recommend this place as a must-try... but to go back would still depend on your will-power and/or wallet. 128539

Pink's Hot Dogs has been in my hit list since the day it opened but mixed reviews and high prices made me put it under "low prio." Then husband asked me to try it because he loves sausages and hotdogs. Good thing Pink's Manila decided to lower their pricing a bit. This was the convincing factor for me to give them a try. So we went, past dinner on a weekday.

Some people have been raving about it, some would complain about the pricing and some would say that it's not value for money, etc. I needed to check it out myself. The place was surprisingly huge! Aside from the tables in front of the counter, there's this area towards the side that extends a little more to house their bar and more tables.

The place had a relaxed vibe - Unfinished walls combined with bricked walls, light bulbs hanging on power lines with pairs of Chucks dangling as well. It will steal your attention from the outside because of this blue Volks Combi that serves as the stall offering ice cream and milk shakes c/o Farmacy.

Onto their food - they offer hotdog sandwiches topped with all sorts of toppings from chili con carne to bacon, onion rings, guacamole, chicken skin, etc etc. They also have burgers, fries, home made sodas, bottled drinks and an assortment of beer.

We gave the following a try ---

The Holywood Legend - my pick. Pretty expensive for a hotdog sandwich! This is one of their best sellers which has Pink's famous chili, cheddar cheese, mustard and chopped onions. I must say that the serving of chili con carne was a lot! A little messy to eat coz each bite will spill some of the chili topping but it was good! Soft bun, pretty good hotdog, meaty chili with a nice spicy kick, generous serving of cheddar cheese - not bad at all. It was kinda filling too!

Hubby got the East L.A. Street Dog. Bacon, ketchup, mustard, grilled onions and peppers, pico de gallo (which is basically chopped tomatoes, onions and celery) - another best seller. This had lots of Jalapeno peppers giving it a really spicy kick! But it was good nonetheless. This gave me a better sampling of the hotdog itself - juicy and tasty.

We also got an order of French Fries and for an additional of 70Php, it was a lot! I liked their fries though - consistently crispy and salty. Best to add with your hotdog meal rather than ordering a la carte which will save you half of the price.

We also tried their Berry Yuzu homemade soda. This was good and refreshing! I liked the touch of yuzu which gave it a citrusy finish. Not really value for money though coz for it's price, the serving was too little.

Overall, service was great! They were quick to offer water and refill our glasses too. But then again Pink's is not a place that I would go back to because honestly, I can get a great meal with my 280Php. Maybe if they will lower down their prices more or maybe make their servings bigger, then I would go back again. But if you don't mind spending that much for hotdogs, then, splurge away!

1 star for excellent service.

1 star for good tasting food.

Remaining three stars not given due to low value for money across the board.

Unless servings become bigger or come with additional sides, I might try it again.

But as of now, I will not be coming back, because the only thing that made me go "wow", were the prices, then again when I saw the serving size that came with the price tag.

Finally tried Famous hotdog chain in L.A.who's now in Manila! Located at Shangrila-La The Fort Manila! Pink Hotdogs! 🌭 Just recently opened last June 11.

Pink is Hollywood legend since 1939, so when I heard that they're coming to Manilla I was really excited. But because of the busy schedule it took me time before I finally go there. Hubby celebrated his bday last July 16-17 at Shangrila The Fort for a staycation and this is the perfect time to visit Pinks as it was located at Shangrila The Fort in Bonifacio High Street.

I heard a lot about them and again I don't believed until I try it. Pink offers burger, hotdogs , sides, farmacy ice cream, cold drinks and beers.

We decided to try their famous hotdog , the Hollywood Legend. This signature cheesedog is topped with their Famous chili con carne, cheddar cheese and chopped onions and mustard for 280 pesos. The hotdog is really different from other hotdogs I've tasted here in Manila. I was so full that night and the place is really cool, it gives you the L.A ambience.

While eating our hotdog sandwich, I spotted Abe C and he went inside to say hi with her beautiful wife. This man is one I look up to in Looloo.

Overall , it was nice experience, I know it's a bit pricey but for me it's okay, I'm willing to spend any for experience. I like Pinks!

Location. Excellent, in the middle of BGC, nice-sized place. The Volks Combi at the entrance (featuring Farmacy ice cream) was a nice touch too. Food. Before anything, with hotdogs as the main ingredient, creativity is key. I mean, what else can you expect right? The Philly cheese dog was a nice start, generous toppings of bell peppers and onions, with a kick of jalapeño I think. The Chicago dog was a curious sight with its bright green relish topping. Wonder if that had food coloring? Also generous but basically, just a relish dog. The last one, Don't Mess with Texas, was a mistake. Just too much going on - coleslaw overpowering the dog, sweet bbq sauce, too salty bacon topped with onion rings. And lastly, Price. Would you be willing to pay P250 for a hotdog? Just to try but likely not again.
