We were heading to a party in the afternoon, so we decided to have lunch somewhere on the way to the location if the party and landed with Plana's Pantry.

It's a small restaurant that can fit only about 20 customers. From the beautiful lantern lightings to the strong words of wisdom found in paintings, this pantry surely deserves people's attention.

We arrived the restaurant a little after lunch and we didn't expect the place to be crowded. But there we were, surprised to see the small and busy pantry. We were then told that we were first on the waiting list and had us wait outside (there were small chairs and tables available). We were then given the menu so we can order and so they can prepare them while we were waiting.

We ordered the ham and eggs, beef salpicao, and avocado mambo for dessert.

128035Ham and Eggs P170
This was served with pesto rice. What I loved about this dish is that their ham was a bit saltier than the usual ham I've tasted.

128046Beef Salpicao P240
I was torn between ordering the sisig (one if the best sellers according to the menu) and the beef salpicao, so I asked the help of the server and he recommended the latter. This was okay. It was also served with pesto rice, but it's not the best salpicao I've had. The beef was marinated well enough to taste a bit sweet and salty, and not bland.

127846Avocado Mambo P65 (single)
I believe one of the reasons customers visit Plana's Pantry is because of this (that's what I've read). I wasn't really looking forward to trying this, and I'm not an avocado lover, but since I'm already there then I figured, why not? To cut the story short, I can't believe I enjoyed this dessert even if I wasn't even planning on enjoying it 128518 you can taste the avocado (although not strong), and the ice cream wasn't too milky either. It had bits of sugar cookies (or more of biscuits) that gave the dessert the added texture and flavor.

I thought the serving was huge. It looked huge, but it wasn't that heavy. The single scoop of the ice cream was definitely enough for a person. Service was excellent.

Thinking back, I wish I was craving for ribs during my visit. It looked delicious and I guess it's also the popular choice of customers. Maybe you should try this.

A quaint little treasure tucked away at the heart of Mandaluyong!

Ambiance:

Very cozy, the white shabby chic interiors make you feel close to home.

Staff:

Very friendly, accommodating, and professional. Special mention to Glenn, my fave server!

Value for money:

Definitely 5/5! Affordable and the serving is just right! Plus points for the pesto rice!

Food:

Plana's has been our go-to restaurant ever since we discovered it! We've already tried most of what's on the menu, so far loved everything we ordered! Chicken Steak and Chicken Teriyaki being my all-time faves!!!

Budget for 2: 500 php

One of Mandaluyong's hidden gems! 128150

I really loved the place! The interiors are gorgeous! It was quiet and cozy, really a great place for relaxing and chilling out with friends.

The food did not disappoint too! I tried their Beef Salpicao (P240), the beef is tender and tasty, we liked their pesto rice too, it compliments well with the flavor of the meat together with the sides.

We had their Supersized Iced Tea for our drinks, and when they say "supersized" it is huge! And it's only for P60! I can say they have a generous amount of servings for both their meals and drinks 9786

Can't wait to try their pastas next time I visit! 128523

The restaurant is cozy with white walls and white with pastel green furniture. Relaxing place to eat. Dishes are mid-priced. Dishes we ordered (tapsilog and hickory barbecue ribs) were served freshly cooked and tasted great. Deserving of a second visit.

We had a long day dealing with errands and traffic, so we decided to give ourselves a little treat 128522128521128513
So our hungry tummies brought us to planas 9786
We had bbq ribs, chicken steak, 3 cheese garlic bread, french fries, malungay ice tea and 2 servings of ice cream all under php 1000 ( yes, its affordable)

Serving sizes are just right for the price and everything is delish 128522128522128522

Could have a 511088️ if they have a high chair and more parking slots

"You can't buy happiness but you can buy ice cream. And that's kind of the same thing!" Bet you will agree;)

Best from among the three flavors of ice cream I've tried in Plana's Pantry, Avocado Mambo has that legit avocado taste hand crafted to achieve the right texture. I like the fact that it's not too sweet and is far from being artificially flavored. Chocolate rumble is just okay having that distinct tablea taste. Strawberry lane is not bad but is tasting like one of the locally flavored biscuits in the grocery:)

An oasis for food lovers out there. Their hickory baby back ribs is to die for! I wouldn't have thought that a cozy little place like this exist at this part of the metro. Fairly priced considering the size of their servings. Would love some more!

Plana's Pantry is a hidden gem of Mandaluyong. The place is not that big but is perfect for catch ups and dates. The food is similar to Mad Marks and Banapple; good and big in serving. I'm happy to discover this place.

I suggest you have the Ribs and Teriyaki. They also have supersized iced tea and lemonade good for 2 :)

Comfort food in a quaint, clean ambiance in our neighborhood... Most of the dishes are served with their signature pesto rice... Prices are fair in terms of quality of food and service... Overall a good alternative when you're too tired to cook! 128522128077

Ordered

1. Lamb Masala 300++
2. Beef Salpicao 200++

Food was a little on the pricey side but food was worth it. Their bestseller was the Hickory Spare Ribs. Will definitely order that next time.

After our bootcamp, my colleagues and I went here to have our dinner, celebrating payday thursday. 128513

What our group had was their lamb and ribs. I guarantee you, it won't disappoint. Both are fall of the bones goodness. The sauce for both meal was perfect. It's sweet and tangy. Pour on some hot sauce and you're in heaven. Haha We also had their chocolate and avocado ice cream, both are good. The chocolate one is quite similar to bnj's fudge brownie. 128076

The price is just right for the quality of the food and service. And oh the place is cute. 9786
