I love the acoustic band that was playing when I was around but i love their food (and prices and servings) even more.

I had kare-kare, buttermilk chicken, inihaw na squid, krispy pata, liempo and sisig.

Dont be alarmed. I was with friends so we ate them all. :)

But for today i will just review their kare-kare and chicken. I particularly found their kare-kare delicious! I am not a fan of that dish because i always ate a version of kare-kare that felt like watered down powder--it tastes fake.

But this one really tasted legit. The chicken too was delicious. Unconventional taste but quite delicious nonetheless. The butter can really be tasted and the name was not just for show. :)

Its hard to describe every dish but ill make sure to visit again and write another review on other dishes

Since I'll be leaving San Fernando tonight, decided to head back to Plato Mama to try out their other best sellers. For dinner, they had a band with a guy playing some saxophone music, and a woman with quite a pretty voice. The singer shared that she used to sing for Makati Shang and Intercontinental Manila before. Their presence made the ambience way better and the lights did a good job to give a good feel of the place. Since the place is fairly new, the owner actually mentioned they're still in the process of expanding the place. Can't wait to see how that would turn out. :)

Had 2 companions with me so we ordered 2 viands (both bestsellers recommended by the staff). Had the buttermilk chicken and also their crispy pata. Did not regret having them at all. My companion even told me that their buttermilk chicken topped her list of yummy chicken meals. Lol. There aren't any guests this evening so the place was very peaceful and you could actually enjoy the band's performance. Made my final hours better :)

Oh, and they have wifi! :) haha made posting on Looloo easier. :)

Love the homey feel of all their dishes. The Kare Kare was delicious and their serving of sisig was really generous! Enjoyed the grilled squid and liempo with freshly made Strawberry Shake. For dessert, had their really yummy Buco Pandan that thankfully wasn't too sweet like all the others I've tried before. :)

If you like a cozy place with a live band as your background music, this is the right place for you. Serving Filipino dishes, their serving sizes are large enough to fill that starving tummies. We tried the crispy pata and their steak and i may say that their crispy pata is a must-be. Although i am not satisfied with the way the steak was cooked, there will always be a room for improvement. In general, PLATO MAMA is a must try restaurant!
