We were here yesterday, we were actually 22 pax, we paid PHP1,000/pax for a day tour which includes use of beach & lap pool (including their new slides attraction at Aquaria), lunch and pm snacks. We were endorsed by a friend who has a property in Landco's development in that area.
I can say that we enjoyed the day at Playa. I believe it was because we almost owned the whole place, very limited number of guests on that Friday. I am just not sure how will be your experience if there's 1,800 pax in the resort, for a company family outing.
The lunch actually includes small grilled tilapia but I am not into small tilapia. The quality of food was just okay, it was a brocolli with beef and not a beef with brocolli, the shanghai roll was good with its sweet chili sauce, the calamares rings was too thin, the lechon kawali was so crispy and best with its lechon sauce, the iced tea was a bit unsweet thus we ordered softdrinks for an additional charge, and the mixed fruits can't go wrong.
The snacks was not that interesting, especially turon is always a merienda available in the canteen, plus they just changed the sago't gulaman that we pre-ordered to a softdrinks without any prior notice. How will you enjoy a ginataang halo-halo with a soda? Thanks to that mixed fruits, again, it saved the day.
We enjoyed the big slides from Aquaria. You and your partner have to ride on a floater for two. It was not scary! Just pure happiness! I tried it twice!
We also enjoyed the sand for the volleyball, but we had to bring our own ball actually.
Another very important thing for me is the shower room! Their shower room (in their lap pool area) has 6 cubicles, many lockers, spacious though not air-conditioned and no hair dryer and blower available unlike at Pico de Loro. Their cubicle in the shower room is very spacious, modern and functional! You have a reasonable space to do complete shower and complete your bath routine. You have space for all your things and you have another dry space to dress-up in that one same cubicle.
I am not sure if that thousand peso is a "getting more than what you paid for" thing for you, but atleast you can have fun with your family & friends under the sun
P.S. We had to drop by a Mcdonald's Tagaytay for the breakfast and at Mushroom Burger on our way home.
