I wanted something a bit healthy for lunch and the cheaper salad option was Plaza Cafe. It was a bit of a walk from my workplace but it wasn't so bad, I like walking. Hahaha!

127838 NEW ENGLAND CLASSIC • half Php 160 • whole Php 285
I got the half order of panini which had turkey, cheddar, granny smith apple and honey mustard. The combination worked so well! It was 128077🏼!! Their sandwiches and paninis come with a side of either chips or salad. Since I was planning on getting a better salad with more flavor, I went with the chips side. It was quite good, not salty but after walking back to the office and eating while working made the chips a bit stale. 128517 But great nonetheless!

127807 BBQ CHICKEN SALAD • half Php 125 • whole Php 220
I got the half order! Turnips, corn, tomatoes, tortilla strips, black beans, bbq chicken with ranch bbq dressing. The ranch bbq dressing was actually 2 dressings you mix into the salad. I like their takeout container for the dressing! It's very reusable (so I kept it). Hahaha! I loved this salad! It was really flavorful and it didn't feel like something healthy. Hahahaha! I guess the bbq and ranch make it a little less healthy but still. 128525 Yumyum!!

Since I went there past 12 noon already, the place was a bit packed already so the service took a while and I got really hungry.

Met up with a friend for light dinner and drinks. She chose Plaza Cafe so we could easily go to the hidden bar by the fire exit after. 128514

I got the Smoked Salmon sandwich with cream cheese, chopped onions on ciabatta for Php 350. Their sandwiches come with a side of your choice - either salad or chips. I went for salad since I was feeling healthy. 128514

I liked the smoked salmon and the cream cheese. They go really well together. The ciabatta was a bit hard. The salad was simply greens with some vinaigrette.

Thank you Julie J, it took quite a while though before I could visit.

I couldn't forget the chicken club sandwich. The chicken chunks are really huge and the bacon is one big crunchy treat, not soggy as with the other sandwiches you get at the mall stores.

The La Brea sandwich is a simpler bunch of joy, with huge chicken chunks and avocado jam. The avocado gives this sandwich its sweet tangy flavor.

Most sandwiches are served with a whole pickle on the side which is really love. Adds color and flavor to the sandwich!

Lo and behold, my favorite part of lunch - the potatoes! These chips are big, freshly cooked, and definitely not from any Jack-n-Jill or Lays pack. They're as crunchy and tasty as they should be! I totally forgot the sandwiches after I had these potatoes.

The spaghetti is for cheese buffs, smells very cheesy especially when served hot! Serving is also quite huge and can be halved to share.

Sadly, there's no latte art for those seeking artsy coffee. The latte is served in simple take-out cups, perfect for us office geeks who are always in a rush. The coffee is good, by the way. Just right, not too strong.

Service is simply great. Not fancy at all. Simple straightforward quick service.

I could probably make this place my noon time tambayan - I find the place quiet, especially if you get there exactly at 12 noon when almost all seats are still vacant. The place gets filled up around 12:30pm.

Didn't know this place. Wondered why we didn't do our previous wedding meetings here. They offer salads, sandwiches, and various drinks; which are friendly on the pocket. Easier to grab a cab from here too.

And that dessert. TDF. Pizookie's indeed the perfect way to cap off the evening. 128523

Reviewing this place for the nth time. NB weeks ago with Julie J Kirby G Yina M.

I wanted a Grilled Cheese Sandwich but I was hungry so I ended up having my favorite, the Manhattan. Grilled chicken + cheese + pesto with side salad. 10084 I requested that they don’t put bell peppers. Still as good as the first time I had it. But their sandwiches are getting smaller and smaller. Unfortunately, they don’t cut down on the price. 128527

They now offer rice meals and omelettes. Their corned beef looks so good!

I haven't met a dish i liked in Plaza cafe but it's the company I enjoy. NB-ed with Julie J. Carla M. and Kirby G. here today.

Decided to get something other than pasta today due to past experiences. This Salmon and cream cheese cost me P350. It was OK, tasted fresh but not spectacular. I still need to find something to rave about this place. It gets full though! The kind where people ask if they could get your extra chair kind.

Super late review!! 128123

I’ve been here countless times for lunch with either my workmates or the NB buddies. I find their sandwiches good despite it being a bit pricier compared to nearby sandwich places like Earle’s or Country Style.

My staple order is half Chicken Club (chicken salad + bacon) with Salad. But since I had to stay away from bacon and mayonnaise, I went with another favorite, The Manhattan. I’ve reviewed it several times already so just refer to previous reviews for the description. 128540 Taste didn't change; still as good as before. Although I sometimes find the half portion bitin now. (Lumiit ba yung sandwich or mas matakaw na ako?! 🙄)

Yina M ordered pasta but she didn't seem to like it. Haven't tried it yet but it looked ordinary plus the serving is small for P300. Kirby G and Julie J enjoyed their breakfast platters with corned beef and omelette respectively.

The three weren't able to resist the urge and ordered a Pizzookie for dessert. 128540

I can't believe I forgot to review this. Hahaha this was how many months ago pa! 128514 Met up with Chichi T for lunch at Plaza Cafe. This has been one of our go to places for healthy, light and quick lunches with the NB buds. 128516

We ordered a Manhattan panini and Mexican Salad for sharing. The Manhattan is my favorite sandwich here. Chicken breast, cheese, roasted bell pepper and pesto on white bread. The pesto wasn't too overpowering but enough to add flavor to the sandwich. We requested that they already split the Mexican salad into two. Cancun corn mix, fried tortilla, chicken, and romaine, drizzled with cordoba dressing. It was okay. Lacks dressing so it was a bit dry and boring. Not sure if we can request to add more. We should've asked. 128517

Kirby G followed but we just stayed longer to make chika. 128514 I noticed a lot of people stay here to work or for meetings instead of going to coffee shops. I think they also offer free wi-fi.

Plaza cafe is our go-to lunch resto when Julie J can't stay out too long. This place gets full, too. What's nice about reviewing places is that you have a record of what you ordered the previous time(s) you've eaten at a resto. I ordered the pesto last time and changed my order to a pasta bolognese for P360. It was disappointing because the order took quite a while. The pasta had flavor but not rich enough and the noodles were quite soft, not al dente. :(

The only thing that makes this place worth visiting is the pizzookie that you SHOULD NOT MISS OUT ON!

My favorite neighborhood cafe! Now serving breakfast at 7am on weekdays!

Been here several times but the food is just so good, I forget everything (including leaving a good review hahaha).

Tonight I took home a full Chicken Club sammie, which has chicken salad AND bacon! 128523 It's my go-to favorite. The pumpkin soup is also spot on, it has that hint of curry taste (was that cumin?) and was still cozily warm when I got home.

Not a bad place to hang out, as they have board games, free wifi, a nice playlist, and is open til 2 freaking AM. Now if only I would actually do my studying some day, instead of just whiling away the precious study hours on the interwebs...

Met up with the girls Julie J Yina M before I went on a long Holy Week break the other week. (Yep, clingy. I know.)

I didn't order my staple sandwich that time (Chicken Club) but instead tried their Grilled Cheese Sandwich. For P110, I find it very sulit. You get a whole sandwich with thick, melted American Cheese slices.

Nothing special with it though, looks like something I can make at home. But it's yummy! And grilled cheese sandwich will always be a classic comfort food. 128153

I recommend Plaza Cafe for its unique salads. My favorite one is the Mexican salad pictured here. It reminds me of the movie Nacho Libre when Jack Black's character gets his first income as a luchador and proceeds to spend it buying ingredients for the orphans' salad in order to impress the pretty Nun.

Heard their sandwiches were good but kinda pricey for its serving size so I decided to try their pasta. Though I sometimes prefer pesto with rice, this pesto was disappointing - in presentation and taste. I felt it was something I could have bought in a bottle and cooked at home. For P275 it wasn't worth it. 128533

The pizzookie is worth going back for. They make you wait for a freshly baked cookie with ice cream on top. Though the disclaimer is 10 mins, we all know Filipino time is double that. I had also ordered an Americano to go with it and it took quite a while to be served. Minus a star for long wait times.

The pizzookie is P150 and can easily be shared depending on how much of a sweet tooth the person you're sharing it with is.

Since we got late invites Julie J and I had lunch plans already. Given that we are a clingy bunch, I crashed Kirby G and Carla M's date and Julie J followed to meet us. Smh.
