we went here few years ago like 3 years after we attended a feast mass in NSOLL (National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes) that's how we shortcut the name of the church... they mostly serve Filipino food and it's good enough... it's good for family sharing 128106

Well I'm not that expert in food criticizing, i just really know what my taste buds likes of course..and I don't force to eat what it don't like as much as possible..

I just remember this moment when we passed here on our way to pares...

Bagoong Alamang or shrimp paste has been a staple food of the Filipinos. Though many found it as bizarre foods, we Pinoys loved this especially a dip to our very sour manggang hilaw. Me, I love shrimp paste sauteed in garlic and onions with lots of brown sugar to compliment the salty taste.

But, there is another all-time favorite dish where we use bagoong as the main ingredient, it’s called “Binagoongan”.

Whenever we have this dish (not very often), we eat it with lots of rice and sometimes with vinegar concoctions on the side.

Am not really into trying this, but the badminton group decided to stay here after the play. And i also thought i could send a fewer bucks this time...

Okay. Here's a special karenderia type... Okay. Canteen. Filipino. I ordered salted eggs, fried rice, and avocado shake. Even though as we guess that the salted egg should be served first... The avocado shake was the first! Then came the salted eggs after 20 minutes... (-_-!)

Salted eggs- php40 with tomatoes, mango and bagoong;
Avocado shake - php68
Fried rice- php 30

The fried rice was... Fresh from the rice cooker mixed with some spring onions and garlic(-_-!)
I also tasted their fried spinach (with starch) ang tigas. (-_-!)

Their okoys:
Alamang okoy: was okay;
Vegetable okoy: nakakaumay. I only tasted the starch.
Lumpiang shanghai: more like lumpiang pepper cause i can only taste the pepper (-_-!)

The ambiance as you can see, resembles a canteen-- it was okay for the theme.

My favorite? : the avocado shake! What could go wrong serving me that?! :)

The service? Hot headed 'manager' awaits you... Couldn't handle a lot of orders.

Earlier i mentioned if i could spend a fewer bucks?...not!

Before entering this place, a waiter would greet you with good day. It has a refreshing and feel at home ambiance as you eyed the display of home cooked dishes at their food counter. 127969

The place was located along Retiro and we often pass by this resto. Always curious but never tried until my mom always crave for Filipino food.

This restaurant offered affordable yummy and enticing dishes like baked and grilled milkfish, fish steak, fried liempo with eggplant and many more.

Pork Binagoongan
It is a Filipino pork recipe which has the main flavor of the Bagoong complemented with steam rice which is best eaten. I really enjoy eating Pork binagoongan because I like the taste.

Chopsuey
a popular Filipino-Chinese vegetable dish primarily made up of mixed vegetable with meat.

Sago't Gulaman
A refreshing cold beverage of sago, its syrup and gulaman, served in crushed ice.

I just love eating here and I promise myself that I will surely come back for more.
