I felt like Professor Snape on break. 128514
Similar looks and feel as that of the Food Hall, only this is more refined and classy.
Surprisingly, they managed to keep the price down. Not without some sacrifices though. The burger serving are small and may not be enough as a whole meal for big eaters like myself..
The bolognese though, is big enough.
So if you’re feeling fancy despite budget restrictions, this is what you’d get. It tastes like a decent bolognese. Enough sauce. Not dry. At P150, its like a bargain!
The chicken sandwich is crisp and seasoned well. The slaw is the perfect complement. It’s a good alternative for people trying to stay away from pork, but it is fried.
I really liked my Amsterdam sandwich. Pastrami, cheese, juicy patty. The signature sauce. Yum! P280
I really highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience that so called Michelin star kind of restaurant without breaking the bank.
ITS JUST BURGER, hallo! 128514
Seriously, its a good place to try out.
Php500 - 600 budget.

I had these two last week cause im constantly craving for sliders after office and pound# was alwayz my first choice, they open up late so it was good, the staff were always nice, i guess they recognized me by face. I like their golden cups, it feels like your at king arthur era. But getting inside fhe table is bit hard, maybe it has something to do with the narrow way inside the seating. But oh well onto the food.

First is their famous chicken slider, its my favorite especially if dont want to too full but craving for one. Its not too spicy nor its oily. It got the perfect juicy part of the chicken. And they used a very good sauce together with the coleslaw like toppings.

The other one was their secret slidder, its partly obscure from their menu but i was intrigued and it was a sliderrrr. Hmmmm, i would suggest to consume this while warm cause it would signifixantly affect the taste if you take it out.

Overall my experience here was good. Definitey be back.

Pind not only serves great burgers and sliders; but good pasta and salads as well. Of course we came here for their all beef burgers and they did not disappoint. i love love how soft their buns are, and the quality of ingredients used is top notch. my favourite was the chicken fillet slider because the protein was light, perfectly fried, and flavourful. I also liked the simple/classic beef sliders. Overall a great visit.

ps: thank you citibank for the free dessert!

Ordered backyard burger and Poutine. Poutine was ok but the fries was not cooked enough to my taste, too starchy. First bite of the burger was all onion and disastrous as the bread already soaked up the juice and everything falls apart, burger should be consumed immediately if you don't want to mess it up. Taste was so so, i had tasted better and way much cheaper.

I've been here more times than I've reviewed this place. I guess the H and I like the adult feel of this place. We got in at 5 PM on a Sunday with just a few tables occupied. By 6 PM every table was filled.

127828 127828 127828 127828 127828 127828127828 127828

Here's what we got:

Backyard Cheeseburger. 380.
Double patty cheeseburger. I must not have been looking at the right side of the menu because I don't remember seeing this before. I usually just order an extra party with the TE Burger hehe. This was for my son. It was super juicy. He was very happy with this.

Amsterdam Burger. 280 +50.
With pastrami and sauerkraut, with extra Gorgonzola. Meat on meat. This and the TE Burger are our default orders here.

Pound for Pound. 195.
A chicken slider and a TE Burger slider. This was my order. I got the best of both worlds, wanting to try both. This is actually very filling for me already, especially the chicken.

Onion Haystack. 90.
What happened? I think the waiter said they don't offer the cube anymore and replaced it with this. Bring back the old one please. The breeding is different. Or the frying was. This was not that crispy and it was all clumped together.

Parmesan Fries. 100.
Pretty good fries, could be better. Wish an order had more.

Bacon Alfredo Pasta. 130 for the solo.
Love that it comes in a smaller serving, perfect for my little girl. She loved this!

Looking for a tasty treat that fits the budget? Well, Pound by Todd English is back at it again with their $1 dollar menu. Unfortunately, the $1 keeps rising but hey a variety of meal for Php 50 isn't bad. They update their prices depending on the latest exchange rate for that day.

Food at the dollar menu includes their TE slider, Secret Slider, Onion Haystack, Pomodoro, Goat Cheese salad and Truffle fries. Ordering them all would just cost you Php 250 and an entire good meal. TE slider and the secret slider are small but terrible finds. Originally two TE slider is around Php 150, and it has this good pound of beefy grilled patty with tomatoes, and onion ring. The secret slider is equally great too as it comes with cheese. At first, I thought I wouldn't feel full with these small bites so some can probably eat it in just two bites but I think I had mine for five. Hihi. But no, they are indeed small but terrible. Something so small but filling. Of course with some sides of hefty onion hay stack that's thinly sliced and stacked together with a perfect crisp and sweet and salty sauce. Truffle fries for the win which you cannot unlove. Ordered three of that to be honest. Hahaha. The salad in the photo isn't actually the goat cheese but rather Caesar instead which is cheap at Php 170. Big serving with poached egg and anchovies. A good one as well.

Staff's are attentive and the place have this good ambiance. Promo runs until August 6. So catch it before it ends! 128522

Pound for lunch with the boyfriend just because. 128518

He ordered the BACKYARD CHEESEBURGER (280php) which he said was just okay. I tried a small portion and yuh, it wasn't that great. Not as tasty and flavorful. Hmm also, the patty was kind of dry and bland. 128542 My order, on the other hand, was better than his order. 128518 The CRISPY GOAT CHEESE SALAD (150php) was light, greens were not the freshest but I liked the refreshing and tangy dressing and also, the crispy goat cheese!!! Though bitin, I still enjoyed them as it added a different taste and texture to the plain salad. For the price, not bad not bad! 128077🏼 I also added an order of the oh so yummy and addicting TRUFFLE RISOTTO TATER TOTS (80php). Sarap nito! 🤗

SERVICE was just okay. Kind of slow but not that annoying. 128517

By now, I think we should have learned never to order burger in medium rare to medium doneness again! Happened before and it happened again. Maybe we did have high hopes for Pound but we were let down when Bf just ended up with tummy ache the next day.

The burger was okay and the foie gras was huge alright. Frankly it was a bit much for the size of the burger but if you're not a fan, you'll be glad to know iT didn't have that powerful taste & Anyone who's craving and too insane for it would love it for the size. The bum was good and the patty was okay, had that bit of uncooked and chewy fats/tendons we had to spit out... which may have been the cause hehehe

I ordered the cheeseburger, it was good but not extraordinary. We loved the onion slices and the dip. We tried the $1 fry and was surprise when we saw the size. We had no idea it was like 10pcs lol we would have ordered the reg size since it was really good.

Good service & reasonable price.

After more than a year since its opening, I’m finally trying out Todd English’s Pound. The place was half full on a Monday lunch. As I entered the restaurant, I could not help but feel its romantic ambiance. Brick walls, dim lights, copper tools gave it a rustic feel. But since the sun’s out and we were seated by the window, the lighting was just perfect.

We were quick to order as the menu was already placed in front of us as table mats. I wanted the Chicken Sliders while my friend wanted the Pound for Pound sampler which comprises of one Crispy Chicken Slider and one T. E. Slider [P195]. To save money, I suggested to order one of each instead for sharing.

T.E. CRISPY CHICKEN SLIDERS | [P195 2 PCS] 1108811088110881108811088
T.E. sweet spice • Crispy pickled slaw • Cilantro Aioli
Contrary to the usual umami chicken burgers, Pound opted for a sweeter flavor brought about by their pickled slaw and sweet spice. I loved everything about it. The chicken itself is crispy, juicy and flavorful while the pickled slaw and aioli complimented it well. Plus, the chicken is bigger than the bun which is not common for burger restaurants. This dish is nothing short of awesome.

T.E. SLIDERS [P155 2 PCS] 110881108811088
House ground beef patty • Tomato • Iceberg lettuce • Crispy onion • Mustard relish • T.E. sauce
Patty was very juicy but lacks flavor. Fortunately, the other components of the burger made up for it. I find the T.E. Sliders to be expensive. I was shocked to see how cute and tiny the burger was when it was served. I could wrap the whole burger in one hand.

TODD ENGLISH POUTINE [P180] 11088110881108811088
Fresh cut fries • Homemade gravy • Caramelized onion • Cheese • Ground beef
Great compliment to the burgers. The fries were still crispy despite being covered with gravy. Flavors were good, not too salty. But to be honest, I prefer adding another pinch of salt to seal the deal.

Service was okay. Food was served within a reasonable amount of time and the staff were attentive enough to refill our cups whenever we ran out of water.

Overall, it was a good visit. I may come back for the Crispy Chicken Sliders again and to try the Amsterdam Burger.

First time to swing by Pound's flagship branch. I find this odd as i pass by high street during weekdays.

Anyway, i wanted to checkout the $1 menu thingy they offer. The choices is limited to 4 - TE Slider, Pomodoro, Truffle Fries and Onion Blossom.

I got the following:

Truffle Fries. I count 8 pieces of thick cit fries. Nothing special about the fries.

Onion Blossom. Too oily. I was this close to using oil blotting paper before taking a bite.

Pomodoro. This was such a letdown. The pasta is nowhere near al dente and the sauce didn't wow me. I've had better pasta.

What happened, Pound?

Pound in BGC Highstreet is a little piece of wonder. The place transports you to a underground setting, with an open kitchen. Service is cordial and with sincere smiles. I tried out their $1 Menu Deals and it is great.

Onion blossoms - unlike your traditional rings this is cut into wedges which gives that flower in full bloom look. The spiced dipping sauce cut through the oily bloom. My only concern is the onion is way too oily. Perhaps a two layer parchment too absord the excess oil? If in a rush to serve to customers.

TE Sliders - soft, juicy two bite burger. A perfect compliment to the sides and pasta dish.

Truffle Fries - a small serving of potato fries with ketchup and truffle oil. They are quite generous with the truffle oil, i had left over too spread over my TE Slider. The fries was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.

Pound Pomodoro - just like how my mom does her pomodoro. It is a winning dish with whole crushed garlic bulbs. I love it!

For $1 each (49.66 on their conversion) these dishes are a steal. Looking at the menu with the ingredients used they offer value for money, which is a cut above the rest of the establishments in the highstreet. Service level is great, interiors is well thought out and the food to love. Recommended.

It's less than a week to avail the $1 dollar menu deal of Pound by Todd English. Luckily, I have the time to drop-by in BGC branch before heading to work.

By the way, my favorite is the truffle fries.

I was hesitant to try their food at first but you will NOT regret it. The quality of the food is A+: you will surely like it, especially the dessert! Also, the ambiance is great for an Old English style of place. Try their fries! Those were amazing.

Scheduled a long-overdue, catch-up dinner here with a friend, one Friday night. Heard and read good reviews about Pound by Todd English, so my friend and I were excited to try it out.

Upon entering the restaurant, the smell of burger patties being cooked was a bit overwhelming; the smell was at the level that will stick on one's clothes and hair. Ack. Unavoidable I guess, or probably intentional, but if not, hope the exhaust can be improved.

Their menu was also the table "placemat," which I think was sensible and efficient. They offered different variations of burgers, salads, sides, and drinks which were surprisingly not that pricey, except for the Pound Foie Gras Burger which was at PHP700. Didn't order that of course 128514

I got the Pound for Pound, which was a combination of burgers with chicken and beef patties. These were sliders so the serving was smaller than the usual, but my friend and I ordered their Todd English Poutine as a side dish to supplement our meal.

The verdict on the food: overall, it was a pretty normal experience. To be honest, it would have been more worthwhile if I spent my weekly greasy food allocation at Burger and Brewskies. The Poutine looked and tasted like one sloppy, greasy mess. I think it was meant to be such; but would rather get an order of good old crispy fries or onion rings next time.

Customer service was great though. The staff was accommodating; asked how our food was in a not too in-your-face kind of way, and were attentive to their customers' needs. Ambiance was also relaxing, a good place for a Friday night unwind, with its comfy seats, subdued lights and generally cultured and quiet diners.

Overall judgement-- personally, it was a worthwhile first-time-to-dine experience. But not a top-of-mind place when I want to stress eat and get my dose of burger 127828

Ang sarap talaga ng burgers dito sa Pound... BGC! Hahaha. Visited 2/23 so up for review na talaga since I haven't posted one in awhile. The proof is in my IG! 128513

MOO & I are regulars here, this is part of our favorite burger places list. The burger is simply seasoned, and you get to taste the beef in all its glory. More importantly we like the dining experience. It's a bit dim here, but it we never feel cramped or frazzled here. Other burger places kasi are just too noisy and magulo.

Got our daughter sunny side up fried eggs on the side menu. Fried perfectly each time (she ate 3) with the yolk still a bit runny.

I like the (onion) cube more than the fries. One order should be shared, super umay na if you chomp it on your own. Truffle tots are also saraaaaap!

A Mr & Mrs bottle of locally made Kettle beer for us. Burgers are best with a cold beer talaga. Not unless you get the foie gras burger, then wine is in order.

I've tried everything here. We love everything here.

It was a short visit to this place, so we went straight to the good stuff: their famous Foie Gras Burger!

The verdict? Absolutely divine! Just make sure you split the burger with someone if you're a girl. Eating an entire serving will make you feel great, so stuffed, so guilty --almost dirty! 128557 Not for the Lenten season!

Thankfully, there are some light items on the menu for titas who watch their weight, like the French Bean Fries, which were crunchy and tasty. I think it even had a hint of truffle oil if I'm not mistaken.

Would love to come back and order the other burgers. And yeah, maybe chug a beer or two while we're at it. 127866
