During one of my bridesmaid's gown fitting days (for my cousin's wedding), my mom and I reminisced how we would go to President's Tea House and have breakfast there, once a week, during summer vacations (when I was still in college).

We then decided to go eat at President's, for old times' sake. 128525 Since it was quite late already, we decided to limit or orders so we wouldn't be too full. Here's what we got:

✔ CHICKEN FEET (Php 85) - 1108811088110881108811088
President's version of this dimsum favorite is one of the best I've tried. 128076 It has the perfect blend of spices which made the chicken feet flavorful with the right kick. The spiciness was just right. The meat was not too soggy, too! I could easily eat basket after basket of this. 128525128156

✔ TAUPE ROLL (Php 95) - 110881108811088
Their version was just okay, but each piece was a bit small for the price. The filling was mostly just pork -- I'd prefer my beancurd roll to have a generous amounts of shrimps as well, and their version fell short of this expectation. The sauce tasted good, though.

✔ BEEF HOFAN (Php 250) - 1108811088110881108811088
Initially, we thought it was quite pricey. But we were greeted with a full plate of hofan noodles, heaping toppings of beef, onions, and beansprouts. The noodles had the right amount of bite in it. The beef, on the other hand, was super flavorful and tender! So yummy. 128046 The vegetable toppings were all fresh and crisp. You have an option to have your hofan stir-fried (dry), or with a little sauce. We ordered the dry version. 128516

The service was just okay, there were just around 2-3 servers around. Business was a bit slow, since it was a mid-week after-dinner time.

It rained hard after we ate, so we decided to book for a grab / uber, so we can get home quickly and safely. I didn't have mobile data access then, so I asked the waiter if they have free wi-fi. And guess what? THEY DO! You just have to get the password from the waiter. 128522 At least, we got home safe and sound. 128524

Yang chow fried rice - Okay, I guess. Nothing to rave about.

The chicken dish recommended by the server - Forgettable. Bland for a Chinese dish.

Pork Siomai and Hakaw - I've had better.

Pork Asado - The only dish I like. One of the sauciest pork asados I've had.

The place is clean and looks fairly new.

Ordered their congee, pan fried raddish cake, wonton noodle soup, and bean curd... Waited for 15 minutes only to be told that they are out of stock.... Terrible

My family has been going here since I can remember. Special occasions are often celebrated here. I never had a complaint on the food or their service. Parking is a hassle though.

I tried their pao which was filled with salted egg custard and it was so good! It's a right mix of sweet and salty and best paired with their jasmine tea. I give it 11088110881108811088

I also had the mango with sago. It was also good! The mango was maybe puree. I love that the mango was sweet and sour at the same time. I give it 110881108811088

I know some people who does not like fruits to be served as a dish and paired with rice but I beg to differ. I am such a huge sucker for hot prawn salad and prawn is just a plus. As long as you make the salad hot even without meat, I'M IN! This one from President tea house is not an exemption. Liked it!

Not the best place for coffee when in the area.

Good food and serving sizes! A little bit pricey but worth it. A trip to Binondo is always pleasant with a side trip to President's.

It offers yummy Chinese food; has very attentive staff despite the full house plus it's also clean and well lighted.

Me and my nephew demolished the dimsum. However, our second orders were never taken and it took them a while to realize. So we didn't wait for them. So sad :c

Authentic Chinese food.

Our usual lazy sunday Chinese take out option.

Order anything, they're all good if you're into Chinese food.

It's authentic not gastronomic.

You would definitely love trying out all their dimsum offerings here. Their rice toppings and other short orders, especially their roasting, are really good, too. I can't wait for their post-renovation grand opening.

Siomai-mother of all things good and dimsum-licious!!! YOU cant and must not rate any other siomai NOR hakao dumplings unless you have tried The Version of the President's Tea House! They serve recipes of dimsum older than I am and felt very humbled even having the opportunity to taste their cuisine! A silky wrap and a generous serving will leave you smiling as you exit the resto, tea and dimsum, that's the way to go!
