I have a love-hate relationship with Press Café.  I love their food but whenever i shift my gaze near the counter and i see those hardbound open-faced books on their wall,  i frown in disappointment.

Anyway,  disappointment aside due to the sheer barbarity done to those poor books.  It being a Wednesday and we were in traffic capital of Asia.  We decided to hang at Press Café till the traffic is dies down.  We wanted something light after devouring the Chow Mien downstairs.  I got my usual drink - Lemonade.  He on the other hand got the Strawberry Milkshake and an oatmeal cookie.

I picked the seat in the corner and we waited silently for the food to be served.  Albeit the torture they are inflicting to the books,  the café reeks of solitude and calm.  The furniture reminds me of a garden,  pastel colors.  The lighting is good as it makes the place bigger.

The food was served after a couple of minutes.  My lemonade is perfect as always, sour with subtle hints of sweetness.  I am certain that they dont use sugar as sweetener,  i am 99% sure that they use honey.  Lemon and honey is a match made in heaven.  He liked the cookie a lot,  he said it is chewy and not overly sweet.  The milkshake is good too.  Any milk infused drink is good,  it has a calming effect.  Why?  Milk was a primary form is sustenance when we were kids.  A baby calms down when fed by their mother.  Evolutionary Psychology dictates that this trait evolved and is part of the behaviour of the modern man.  Natural Selection,
Folks!

Enough of the nerd talk.  I still love you Press Café.  The disappointment i feel is stemmed by my love for books.  Your lemonade still rocks my world.

Best tambay place for me when in this mall reminds me of college days where I had to stake out in the library since its way too hot outside. See this is beside Fully Booked Store and decors on one side of store are reading materials too.

Had me carbonara which was not al dente but good enough and chicken sandwich melt, crisp and cheesy.

Had the porkchop. Sauce was ok but not really enough to keep me coming back. Service was ok. Food and bill was served quickly.

Was de-pressed after eating here 128527128528 i thought what a big hit they are after seeing so many people crowd their place. Hahaha sometimes popularity is not everything 128541 I had their tomato soup which was watery and artichoke dip - not tasty, small serving size and the pita wasn't good either. I felt cheated 128532

Service was bad today. First, we just sat down and the waitress immediately asked if we were ready to order. Give us time to settle down next time!
When our soup came, it was just half- filled. My companion asked if we split our order. Serving size is poor.
Pressadilla is ok.
Carbonara ok too.
We then asked for chili flakes and parmesan cheese, it took a while for it to arrive. We had to follow it up and our pasta was a bit cold since we had to wait for the chili flakes and cheese.
When we asked for dessert, the waitress mentioned 3 types only. We didnt order since we didnt like the choices. Only to find out, upon our exit, that there were other choices still. They could have gotten more business with us if she completed the cake selections. Oh well...

Press Cafe. Located on the third floor of Power Plant Mall, strategically located beside Fully Booked. First, the joint is newly renovated, they changed the furniture, did something with the ceilings, got rid of the partitions and voila - the places looks swanky and spacious.

The decoration near the counter is not for bibliophiles though. The wall had open-faced hardbound books serving as wall decor. Sacrilege! Such barbarity! You dont do that to books, they should be placed on a cute bookshelf, covered in plastic and used for mental exercise. Yes, this is a deduction on the rating.

Rainy Tuesday. While i was waiting for CMA, i decided to finish reading Before I Go To Sleep while munching on something. I ordered a glass of Lemonade and some fries.

The lemonade tastes authentic, I am guessing this was made from scratch. I didn't mind the tangy, tear-inducing sour flavour.

The fries is surprisingly good. I dunno what crumb they used for the crust but the fries remained crispy after i finished one chapter of the book. And oh, they serve good coffee and brownies too.

Three stars for now, i cant get over the wall decor.

A better and brighter press cafe reopens at rockwell! 128525

The place is big and the interior is jaw dropping 128561 they even changed their name to "press by fullybooked" I guess this is their way of turning the press cafe into an actual restaurant, not just a coffee shop.

They serve a wide variety of food from pasta, salad, burgers to cakes and coffee. All made from high quality ingredients 128076128513

This is a perfect example of a worthwhile renovation, not just for its interior but also for their food. 128525128077

I hope they open more branches like this one! 128513

Quick dinner last night ...
Mall was close & so was everything else but not press & fully book ... We were so famished & at a hurry to go home...
Big breakfast plate @ 270 with bacon sausage , toast & Spanish egg was good,
Homemade mushroom soup @125 was warm & perfect for a cold rainy night
Mozzarella stick @220 divine as always perfectly balance with its tomato base dip to lessen the greasy feel
Watermelon shake was so refreshing@110

Saw the review of Alex O about the rainbow cake so last Saturday when we go to Powerplant, my second stop was at Press Cafe. It's located at the higher level beside fully booked near the cinema.

So happy to see that rainbow cake. It's very colorful and pleasant to my eyes so bought it right away for take out. Cost only 150 pesos and the taste was good too. If your rainbow cake fanatic you try this one 127856

I finally tried the rainbow cake at Press Cafe located at Fully Booked. Because of its rainbow colors, this is one cake that has always caugth my attention everytime I pass by its display chiller going to the cinema. Upon tasting though, I just found it just too sweet, and couldn't finish it. Hope they do something with the icing, just by using fresh cream instead of this sugary icing. If nothing else, it looks nice though. Press cafe is also a 'quieter'/hidden sort of cafe in the Powerplant cinema area if you need a place to just kill time.

Came here to kill some time after mass. Mom had a chiocolate chip cookie, I had a Cappuccino and my sister and I split an order of Banana Pancakes.

These were fairly fluffy and tasted like they were made from scratch. They also come with a generous helping of Nutella and Maple Syrup, though personally I would have preferred some peanut butter to go with it too.

The cookie wasn't great, there are better options elsewhere. The coffee was ok, a good alternative to Coffee Bean and Starbucks around the area.

Overall not bad, I'm curious about their other food here though, so it might warrant a return. 128522

Ordered their Grilled Chops and Chicken Tenders and it was okay. :) The chops were really not that tender that I really have to put an extra effort to slice it but I love the place's feel, it's beside Powerbooks so you can really have some alone time with your newly purchased book and their treats. 128149

Got an apple pie! Not bad for P150 but Bannaple's is much much better by a landslide. It had a pretty powdery aftertaste 128542

Their mozzarella sticks were pretty good tho! 9786️ and their brewed coffee!

Totally wanna head back for their pasta in arrabbiata sauce! Just wasn't that hungry today. 9786

Was torn between wanting to try something new & going with my usual but since I was feeling a bit under the weather, I went with my usual. Better to be safe than sorry, right 128521

Their pumpkin soup helped with my sore throat and the niece got some mozzarella sticks! Happy tummies!!!

Shoutout also to their crew for maintaining their great service, specially, Mark & Dina!!128079

Took 40 minutes or even longer for our food to arrive. Thank God for the magazines. Mind you,it wasn't even jam packed.

And when the food actually arrived, the taste wasn't like before. It was boring. Not flavorful enough and the quality is meh. Salsa of the Pressadilla was like ketchup lang and a little bit of pepper. Could've made that myself in my sleep.

Service staff are not attentive too. 128557

What happened Press? You used to be okay. 128532 I mean,we've been patrons since before. And now the quality of this restaurant is just..poor.
