I don't wear a ton of make up, mainly because it's just way too hot here so I figured I should do something fun to spruce up my look. I used to wear lash extensions while abroad and loved them...but they cost an arm, a leg and your first born. When I saw the prices here, I was ecstatic! I first went to
i-lash in the Alabang Town Center (review to follow) but decided to try Pretty Little Lashes to see how they compare. I follow PLL on Instagram and FB and I liked their style, the way they marketed themselves. By looking at their pics and posts, you'd think PLL was on the higher end of lash salons. Yeah...um..no. They've recently moved to Starmall in Alabang but before (when I went) they were located at Civic Building in Filinvest. It's a hole in the wall place that's dark and questionable. The set up is pretty ghetto and I kept trying to convince myself that it's a legit place.
So, I'm laying down (for a good 45 min) with my eyes taped shut throughout the whole procedure. The technician uses tweezers to glue one fake lash to each real lash. You have the option to choose the length and thickness to achieve your desired look. Surprisingly, they did a fabulous job! Though they didn't appear that professional (ie no uniform and hair was not neatly kept) they were very nice and fast. Lash extensions -- depending on the growth of your lashes-- can last up to 3 weeks without having to re-touch. Unfortunately, these only lasted 2 weeks whereas good quality lashes typically lasts me about 3 or more weeks. It's definitely the glue. I don't think it's strong enough.
I'm still searching for the best lash place around. I would have returned to this place if I was desperate and in need of something quick. Now that they moved, I probably won't be going back. On to the next one! I'll keep y'all posted!
