Late review:-)

I've been telling myself that I will visit all the places I've been to with the love of my life one day!

Fast foward 2015, this is where we went for our first out of town trip. It was August so the weather wasn't really for the beach, but ze boyfriend insisted. We had to take the Montenegro Lines from Batangas Port because the coastguard didn't allow small vessels. From Calapan we had to rent a van to the resort. We stayed at Montani Beach Resort. Their service was really good! Ze boyfriend liked their pancit bihon and tinola. 128076🏼10084️

We just stayed at the resort because it was raining the whole weekend. It was a weekend to remember as we went through a whole lot of trouble just get there. Ze boyfriend learned the tagalog for dog during this trip. 10084️10084️10084️

Would love to come back again, hopefully not on a rainy season. 128515

My first of summer! 1285269728️

It is a far drive from our province to batangas port. But if you're from Manila. I think it'll be 1-2hrs only. After a long drive, make sure you're early for a more or less 2 hours boat ride from batangas port to the beach! Yes! Because it feels like everyone is there. Hahaha! Though the boats are many.

We feel so exhausted by this time, especially we just got out from work work work... 128517 And I gotta stay awake because I was the wingman since my sleepy boyfriend Darz R is the driver. 128517 There were so much activities from water activities to even just chillin' at night. But at first we had our late breakfast and rest! I thought we would just stay at the hotel all weekend because of the exhaustion. 128517 At around 1 in the afternoon we had our lunch and proceeded to island hopping. Yep! We decided to go out, some were hesitant because of the heat. We went to 3 places. Not so jaw dropping though and the bangkeros were quite confusing and they're not helping us to get off and on the boat. 128530

Around 6 in the evening we were finished with our island hopping. Some decided to swim while we were just chillin' by the beach. The place by then was crowded. Water activities were still going. We already reserved our dinner at Dirks. The center and party event in the area. The food took long tho and they hate the loud sound because we're not bangenge pa to party. Haha! At night the whole beach stretch were filled with music, entertainment, and fire dancers. Party, booze, party and booze. It was really a poor man's boracay as they say. Not to commercialized, not famous restaurants compared to Bora. The party continues until morning I guess. We stopped drinking at 11-12pm. The next morning, we did banana boating, well more like a baby dragon boating. Hahaha. It was fuuuuun! My first time too. 128517 I had body ache a few days after. 128517128514 All in all it was a great way to start my summer! 9728️

Pangalawang beses ko na pumunta dito and it was really amazing. I love the beach so I think I will always come back here.

Nag commute lang kami, sumakay kami ng bus galing Gil Puyat papuntang Batanggas port. Ung calculation ko is good for one person)
- 86 lang bayad namin (kasi estudyante hihi) di ko lang alam kung magkano ung normal fare) tapos
- 500 ung binayad para sa boat, roundtrip na yan kaya ganyan. You just have to tell the date of your departure and you have to confirm it one day ahead.

Tapos andun kna! You just have to prepare sa budget para sa pagkain at kung ano ano pa. Ung mga bilihin dun is times two of its normal cost. Siguro tourist price. Haha. One meal may cost 100-150 per person. :)

Maraming hotels and inns don, I suggest you book the place where you want to stay in advance so that you can avoid overpricing haha :)

I suggest to try banana boat and parasailing, I'll try it the next time I'll be there! :)

P.S Night life there is really awesome, swear!

Puerto Galera is a dream place for me. Because I always see the pictures on post cards and on my FB friends posts. So instead of drooling around with their pictures, why wouldn't I myself try to go there? And that's it. Just last week I brought my backpack & 2 of my travel buddies and viola! I got my feet landed on the shore lines of its beach. The famous White Beach Resort. I was so thrilled especially with the fire dancers and the food! The food are great with great sense of humor of the servers there. That picture of mine by the way was taken at the hidden cave where you need to hike among those sharp edged rocks. I got some wound by the way. (No pain, means no gain. Lol). All in all, PG is not just picturesque by its own view. It envelopes great water activities like snorkeling which is my favorite part even though I dont know how to swim. Go banana boat, crazy UFO, jet ski, parasailing or just get a henna tattooed on your skin for a great souvenir. Pasalubong stalls are almost every where. And make sure that it is on your bucket list. Don't miss Puerto Galera. Just DON'T.

I totally loved my trip to puerto galera, especially the activities like island hopping, snorkeling, feeding the fishes, underwater cave and some hidden white sand beach! But the white beach island itself was a lil bit of disappointment, first food were all overpriced haha and long waiting time, you have to wait like an hour or so to feed your tummies with overpriced meal! Second, i dont know why they call it white beach island, the sand wasnt reallly white or dirty white, its more like gray lol! Third, terrible shipping companies and disorganized! Dont ever book a boat ride with (challenge and passion company) they suck bigtime, im telling you! Minolo shipping lines is much more better, we end up asking for a refund on the way back to batangas, (which we never got) and just decided to book a one way ticket with minolo! But nevertheless puerto is a beautiful island! Make sure to try their island hopping tour with the kuyas and snorkeling! U wont regret it! The island hopping/snorkeling cost 1500 pesos for group of 5, but hey heres the catch, feeding the fishes, seeing big clams, going on underwater cave are another set of payment (lol) that will cost u 600 per person including the boat which u can use the whole day! Ill surely be back and try out sabang island next time! They say its beautiful aswell there 128539

ENTRANCE FEE is understandable. EXIT FEE is not! It's like being charged with travel tax when you leave the country.

Tourist traffic is declining in Puerto Galera and they still have the audacity to charge tourists with an exit fee.

Stupid.

The beach (esp the water) is no longer as clean as it used to be. Sad.

I don't have any photos of white beach so I borrowed one from google.

Visited Puerto Galera last May 02 with some colleagues a we had a splash of good time here at White Beach.

The water is calm and cool and doesn't have that fishy smell.

There were lots of bars and resto to choose from that will definitely match your taste and most importantly your budget128522

You can actually avail some water sports/activities like island hopping, snorkeling and banana boating. There are people roaming around offering these packages.

Night life here is really fun. It's like a huge beach party!127864127867127926

Fire dancing is one of the highlights here every night. You should never miss it.

Kinda disappointed with the visit.
It felt like we were being ripped off.
150 for a less than 10min. drive to the coast.
100 pesos for a 1.5L of softdrinks.
And a lot lot lot more.

It's a short coast. It was hard to find a decent restaurant, really. It was even harder to find a REAL café, there is even one place that proclaims itself as a cafe but it sure looks like more of a bar. Almost every resto was a bar.

The sand wasn't that fine, yes white, but not fine, the water though is really crystal clear. Walang lumot.

Nightlife here isss okay, there was only one place with live music and I can tell you that it doesnt sound good. Most of the entertainers were like "comedy bar" material, a few fire dancers. That's it.

However, what made me rank this 4stars is the Aninuan Beach and the privacy. Not too crowded. Also thanks to Tribal Hills Mountain Resort for the great rooms with spectacular views.

But still Boracay = more fun.
