The Puerto Princesa International Airport looks nice visually. The place is very organized and clean. Their restrooms are kept clean and they have tissue provided for their guests.

Upon going out the airport, there were already van transfer groups who will offer you land transfer to either El Nido, Coron or within Puerto Princesa.

Our land transfer from the airport to El Nido terminal was 500/head. We waited for around 15 mins in the van before we left the terminal since we waited for the next flight to arrive in PPS from Manila. The van we rode was clean and the driver was friendly. The aircon was cold. We were around 7 people in the van. Travel time was 5 hours.

Going back to Manila from the PPS airport, security was strict but the people were friendly. There’s a separate area for paying your terminal fee. The check-in counters have monitors above them to show the flight their currently serving. Airlines are also organized properly per counter.

There are a few food kiosks but everything was over priced, the tocilog was priced at 190 pesos. If you want to buy food outside the airport, you have to walk around 5 mins to the main road. At the main road, there are food kiosks and small restaurants.

Puerto Princesa has a newly built international airport and it looks good! I love the structural design of the ceiling, how spacious it is, the rows of chairs with a big leg space, and the even the small cafe stalls that they have.

It would have to be the best airport that I've seen in the Philippines thus far. Yes, it looks better than NAIA. What I'm really hoping is that they would be able to maintain it.

Our flight back home to manila was delayed again. Good thing the airport has a decent smoking lounge where you can order some food too. So me and my friend decided to stay there and ordered something to eat.

It's a little bigger than some of the provincial airports that we have and ofcourse a little crowded esp. Now that we have the underground river as one of the 7 wonders of the world and also the famous El Nido and Coron. A lot of world renowned attractions in one place huh? Makes me love the place even more.

I also read somewhere that they will reopen in March 2017. They renovated the airport and will have lots of direct flights to and from the airport. It will have a longer runway and taxi-way to accomodate more tourists as they are expecting 1million tourists to come in Palawan this year. It also says that the airport is now one of the Philippines gateway to asia.

While waiting and eating at the lounge we met this guy who claims to be Mayor Lim's nephew. He is the most sensible person I met while I was in Palawan. We talked about almost everything. We talked about business, Palawan's geography lol, how the bird's nest soup is being made, where it came from, what type of birds and where to get it in Palawan and a lot more stuff. He even paid our bill without us knowing. Lol.

Staying at the airport for hours on that particular day is not bad at all. Especially if you get to meet a complete stranger and have good conversation with him.

Small convenient airport. Had to wait here a few hours before our flight. There are a lot of "Karinderia" type eateries near here to keep you fed while you wait for your flight.

Above Palawan... And I'm here again! 128540

Shall I count Palawan now as my "province"? Hahaha.

I had an early arrival here last Friday, and it was funny that the policemen were asking me if I'm alright because I was alone fixing my luggage... Ok lang kuya, sanay ako magisa. 128514128586

No improvement since the last time I went here a couple of months ago, but I heard this will now be the terminal of.. Army?? There is a new airport/terminal construction ongoing commercial flights already. 128513

This terminal is small but air conditioned. I remember the dipolog terminal-- this is better.

Not much seats in here. There's just a conveyer belt, comfort room in the arrivals.

Oh i heard that they are having a new terminal daw ha.

And there is only robinsons mall at puerto. 2017 sm will be having na here.

It's also weird that mangoes from PP cant be brought to el nido. Will check the departure area soon.

Visiting El Nido on a budget? Then you have to take Puerto Princesa Airport as the airport in El Nido is a bit too pricey. You just have to travel 5-6 hours from Puerto Princesa.

The airport was not that big nor small. But the aircon in the back was not working well I have to get my bamboo fan and do it manually. No wifi and signal from Globe was not doing well also. We have nothing to do aside from looking at the tv screen in front of us. No digital gadgets while waiting for our flight. Good thing I have tons of ebooks in my phone.128214128218

I think they are expanding the airport and having improvements. Hopefully when we come back, the construction and all are done for I know many tourist around the globe will visit Palawan now because it was voted as the Best Island in the World!

Good to see that this airport has been renovated. However, the departure area is a bit hot what with the number of people waiting for their delayed flights. There's wifi too but don't expect a good signal.

Flying above PPS. 9992

Bzzz. August 6. We stayed for a couple of hours due to delayed flights of different airlines.

I find it better now than last year because there's water in the CR finally. 128540 Hope they expand this airport though... Some people are already sitting on the floor. 🙃

A lot has changed 9 years ago.   It's not as provincial looking as before,  spacious and has a couple of establishments where passengers can buy overpriced food.  The airport crew is courteous and friendly.  There's one passenger who had a bitch fit during the scanning of the bags.
