Being Australian 🇦🇺 & not use to eating most of these types of foods ( livers & intestines ) ... therefore disappointedly , this Filipino style street food location , wasn’t to my likings

Still this location was very busy by locals

I liked the little spring rolls - didn’t ask what was inside 128513

They say you haven’t been to Cebu if you haven’t tried Cebu Lechon. But ever since I moved here, my officemates introduced me to something I loved more than the famed pig. There is so much good street food to try here, and I wanted J to experience them on his last visit. On the bus home from Bantayan, I daydreamed of the last Pungko-Pungko Party we had in the office, so I decided that once we’re back in the city, I’ll take J to one. And that, I did. 128572

Ginabot! This is the best thing that ever happened to me in Cebu besides my job! 128569 Hahahaha 128568 It is basically Cebu’s take on Chicharong Bulaklak but it’s as huge as my face. Every piece actually spells out h-e-a-r-t a-t-t-a-c-k but man it’s sooooooo gooooooooood! 128569128569128569

So I brought J to Pungko-Pungko sa Fuente, the biggest and most popular ginabutan in the city. From the looks of it, we just made it till right before closing so it was great timing! We went and sat down and started to get our hands dirty. Well, technically you won’t get your hands dirty because the first thing they'll give you are plastic gloves, but yes you will have to use your hands. We each had our helping of Ginabot and Puso and it was just marvellous! There was an array of fried foods there - we particularly enjoyed the ngohiong too! The vinegar dipping sauce went so well with the salty fried pig intestine. Omeyged, I think I had about 4 with 4 pieces of the hanging rice too. I didn’t count J’s but he finished quite a meal as well. 128568

It was my complete joy to show J more of the Cebuano street food scene. We were stuffed to the brim and spent a max of Php 150, if I'm not mistaken. I look forward to more food trips and to sharing them here on |ooloo! 10084
