Zooming in to focus on its chewyness 128523🖒 .
.
The Reese's Cookies of the Purple Oven Bakeshop. Been reserving 6 of these for 2 weeks already. Even my little cookie monster got hooked with them during snack time. Why do you need to call to reserve? Because they stocks run out fast, so I am not the only one who's going ga-ga over these "chummies" (chewy-yummies haha!). .
.
On to the Why? You could really taste the density of the Reese's peanut butter with every bite, not like other cookies with pretentious ingredients which with every bite you will keep on looking for the main ingredient then even if you're done eating the whole thing you still can't find it. Frustrating. I knoooow! With just a very simple explanation you will crave for more bites: Chewy, So Reesey and it Will leave you with "can't get enough of you baby" factor for 65pesos each. It's as big as a normal palm. .
.
They have other flavors such as the macadamia cookie, etc. But this is my personal fave that's why I blogged about it. One trivia: They used to supply pastries in all starbucks branches in the metro, but now the mainstream coffee shop has its own consignment.

So I've overheard somewhere that this particular shop is the one responsible for Starbucks' cheesecakes! It's just gossip but I really love their Oreo cheesecake, so we've decided to check them out 128513
Personally, I'm really not that into chocolate cakes, I usually go for the cheesecakes fruit flavored ones or anything that comes close to coffee 128525. But since my sister is such a sucker for chocolates (and she's the one who's gonna pick up the cake 128514) she dared to be adventurous and tried their Chocolate Campfire. My immediate thoughts brought me to the images of Chocolate Kiss' devil cake because of their identical pointy shaped icing. As for the taste, Oh my goodness, I didn't foresee I would be that satisfied in a chocolate cake. The icing was yummy and sticky and the moist cake and pure choco blends well with it 128077128077128077. Also, mixed within the paste, there are mini cocoa bites which tastes more on the bitter side, (which is better so you don't easily get "umay") that gives your mouth something to chew on.
I'm excited to try more of their other products, and really wish that they would have a shop nearby 128521128521128521

I love their chocolate crinkles! (P350) Its fudgy and chewy chocolate goodness! I’ve shared it with my officemates and they love it!

Ham and Cheese Croissant, freshly baked pastries is perfect! Their croissant is baked and stuffed perfectly. The crunchiness of the bread is delightful, ham and cheeses are also tasty. One bite and I can’t stop biting it again and again and you will just get sad because it’s done already. Haha

Tuna Turnover, croissant type bread with tuna filling. The distinct taste of their tuna is delightful. It wasn’t like any other tuna turnover that I’ve tasted before. Purple Oven’s version is perfect in all level of yumminess!

Rustic Chocolate Torte (P880), this is for my sister! It’s a layer of sansrival with cream, lots of cashew, almonds, pecan nuts and chunks of chocolate. Saraaaap! Milky and crunchy!

I would love to try their banana loaf next time, it’s a bit pricey for P320 but I still want to try it. I wish that they can have per slice of their cakes too, so that it’s easy to taste everything haha. Purple Oven bakes different and delicious pastries and cakes! An alternative from the usual bakeshops.

Dad's Birthday celeb last night. This cake is good. I didn't expect it to be light and not too sweet! I'm not a fan of dark chocolate but I liked the sweet Caramel in the middle. 128538

Two things that were consistently HUGE HITS at every potluck holiday party I've brought them to: Purple Oven's White Chocolate Sans Rival and Food for the Gods.

White Chocolate Sans Rival
Excellent 1108811088110881108811088
A well-made sans rival is already sure to delight but add very delicious white chocolate and it'll leave people daydreaming about it for days. The white chocolate tastes something like Magnum's white chocolate coating or Lindt's white chocolate. It's really delicious.

Food for the Gods
Excellent 1108811088110881108811088
One of the best I've had. Moist (inside) and crunchy (on the outside) in all the right places. Had just the right sweetness.

Pricing
Good 11088110881108811088
The White Chocolate Sans Rival is 750. Not cheap but worth the taste and the size.
Food for the Gods was 300 now I think for a box of 16s. And each piece was pretty big and filling, so I think it's a good price for what you get.

Trust me, neither of these two will disappoint!

A rainy Wednesday deserves some good kind of comfort food that will make our souls really happy! And yes, God's good because he easily answered our prayer for this day. One of our freelance project managers came by the office and brought some delicious brownies from Purple Oven.

Purple Oven have a lot of branches and I've visited quite a few already, including the one in Nuvali and their oldest and first branch at Pasig. The clean, classy yet very welcoming look attracts customers to go and check the items that they offer. From cakes, pies, lemon bars, brownies, cookies, muffins, etc, I am sure that you'll be able to find what you're looking for here.

We were given a box of brownies for sharing in the office. Yay! As a fan of sweets, especially cakes and pastries, I was so happy to indulge on this!

The dark brown brownies looked really yummy from the outside. I took a portion of it and it was really soft and I felt the moistness of it. Upon my first bite, oh, I felt how pure the brownie's chocolate was, how soft it was. There was this gooey chocolate taste from the inside making every bite really tastier. The chopped walnuts as toppings gave the brownie a different flavor that balanced the sweetness altogether.

Purple Oven has a lot more to offer so make sure that you get to visit a branch of them soon!

I was craving for a macadamia chocolate chip cookie for weeks already and I was planning to drop by at Starbucks, but I didn't get a single chance to buy some. Fortunately, my sister went here to buy cakes and pastries for her and her officemates’ merienda, and she remembered that I was craving for a macadamia chocolate chip cookie so she bought some and brought it home for me.

The cookies' were really freshly baked and you can tell it with just the first bite. Its very soft and chewy and of course, yummy!! Its not too sweet so no worries if nakakaumay or not. 128077🏼

She even bought a chocolate croissant and reese’s cookie. For the croissant, I was expecting that I would love it despite that I didn’t liked its appearance, but I got disappointed because the chocolate filling was just on the right side 128517 First bite is always important! I hated the feeling when I had my first bite of their croissant and all I got to taste was the bread itself when it should have been the bread WITH the chocolate filling. Plus ang konti lang nung chocolate 128553 Good thing the reese’s cookie was superb! I skipped breakfast the following day because I was running late for my class, so I just ate the cookie on my way to school. I thought medyo matigas na siya but when I ate it, it was still soft! And even if it was not warm masarap pa din talaga 128522

Aside from the cakes, the pastries are scrumptious, too! So overall I loved it except for the croissant 128517

My second favorite Banoffee Pie!

(Eeep!) I still prefer Conti's Bananalicious pie however, it's a lot more convenient to buy from Purple Oven (at least this branch, never been to any other one) --- only has street parking but pretty easy to find a slot.

The pie is as good as I remembered it, yummy! 127856128523

They have the best pastries, cakes and desserts ever! 128525

Love their Quiche, Revel Bars, Lemon Bars, Fudge Brownies! Their Campfire was also good!! I wanted to try the Grandma's cake, Lava and Sans Rival next time. The sweetness complement the taste. It's also so thick and richness in flavor. I like the quality.

It has reasonable price compared to other cake stores, also because their cakes are not ordinary and it's freshly baked.

I took advantage of the long weekend and celebrated my birthday in advance with my family and closest friends. So my boyfriend, being the sweetest that he is, brought 3 different cakes he felt would satisfy each of our preferences. For my mom, he got the Strawberry Shortcake; the Grandma's chocolate cake for my brother and the Lemon Torte for me.

The Strawberry Shortcake was a chiffon-based cake with strawberry chunks and cream. They reminded me of the cakes in Japan which are light, fluffy and not overly sweet. The Grandma's chocolate cake, on the other hand, was rich and decadent, with caramel filling in the middle -- totally opposite from the previous cake but really marks a spot especially for those who love chocolates. The ultimate winner for me though was their Lemon Torte; it was a sansrival cake with lemon curd within layers -- just the two of the things I love in one!128522

I know there are many cake specialty stores sprouting here and there but I'm still dubbing Purple Oven (and Karen's Kitchen!!) as one of the best places that serves delicious and reasonably priced cakes ever.

I received 2 cakes
One a mocha with real rich butter icing , i love it .
The other a very fine and delicate chiffon w nuts on the butter icing , another winner .

Definitely a good alternative to Red Ribbon , better than Conti's I think .

i went here last sunday around 10am to get some pasalubong.

we asked them if they will have cheese rolls soon, they said they won't be baking those yesterday. 128561

the bf and i opted to get 2 boxes of lava cake and one extra lava cake for myself and a half box of lemon squares.

i heated the lava cake at home and it was delish. the chocolate did overflow after heating. sweetness was just right.

hope they wouldn't have this situation of not baking cheeserolls in the future.
