Not a fan of Mongolian food but at least i gave it a try. The food was ok. You got to choose your own toppings and they guidelines for the right mixture of the sauce but i think didnt get the right one for my taste. Price is 300 for a lunch buffet with free soup and a glass of iced tea.

The food was ok, i find the place lacking of a certain "thing" to make it worth visiting again

If you're looking for a quiet and lovely place to have dinner with family and friends, this is the perfect place.

Some of my favorite dishes:
- truffle pasta
- adobo (it has green mango and bagoong) 128522

Place - Charming
Food - So-so. Mushroom Truffle Pasta was salty for me. Baked Norwegian Salmon was good. No trace of seafood, nor seafood taste, in their seafood roll. Cesar salad dressing was just right, but the greens were obviously not fresh. The thing on the photo, a tad salty too.
Service - Efficient and accommodating

Was quite disappointed with our visit. 128533

Q Bistro is a good place to try if you're looking for Filipino favorites with a twist. We were just disappointed with our order - Adobo sa Mangga. It was supposed to be good. Well, it was. Our palates were just not ready for the bagoong. And my boyfriend has very little preference for bagoong. The dish was more binagoongan than adobo. 128533If we weren't so hungry, I would have complained and had it replaced. Their menu was very detailed. Surprisingly, they forgot to mention the bagoong.

I've been wary of deals and promos scattered across the internet, because of a bad experience last year. But emailed restaurant deals make it easier to answer the incessant question of where to eat, especially since hubby and I are creatures of habit and find it difficult to try new restaurants without a good reason to do so. For our Valentine's date, which got postponed into hubby's birthday date because of his recent flu bout, I became daring and used a Deal Grocer voucher for a meal at Q Bistro.

Ambience - Cozy yet polished, the restaurant's homey ambience will make you feel relaxed even when dressed in your cocktail heels. A bonus is that our reservation was at 1pm on a Saturday and we had the place all to ourselves. 9786

Service - The wait staff was perfectly ubiquitous, polite, friendly and clean looking. Kudos! 128516

Food - Our voucher came with a set menu. For appetizers, we had a trio of oysters: baked, fried and vino blanco, and wild mushroom trio with truffle oil on toasted crostini. The oysters were perfectly cooked and juicy, tasty enough to inspire one's appetite. The toasts were mild and balanced the richness of the oysters.

Next came the soup and salad duo, roasted pumpkin soup and mixed greens with Q salad dressing. The soup was excellent! I'm not much of a pumpkin soup fan, but this is one pumpkin soup I won't mind seeing again. 128522Hubby liked the soup too; unfortunately, we also agreed that the Q dressing was too sweet. I like vegetables because I could eat as much as I want without worrying about the calories. But the dressing made us leave our salads untouched. 128532

The highlight of our meal was our roast beef main course. Since our meal was a promo, I expected the restaurant to cheapen us out. But my expectations were exceeded with two huge slabs of perfectly tender roast beef served mushroom rice pilaf and truffled mashed potato, with strips of zucchini and bell peppers on the side. Albeit not too juicy, the roast beef came with a gravy resplendent with the taste of wine and herbs. We will definitely come back to this place for more roast beef. 128516

For dessert, our meal came with tiramisu, which I believe must always be paired with a hot cup of coffee, and carrot cake which we were too full to eat. The tiramisu and coffee were average, but still a perfect ending to a good meal. We also got two glasses of red wine.

The verdict - We loved it! Despite his sinusitis, the food and the experience cheered up my hubby, while we made plans of coming back to this place. The meal was definitely worth it's 1,200 peso price tag. We've just made a good restaurant discovery! 128515
