One of the default restaurants when in Paseo de Magallanes on a cold, rainy evening simply because of the need for something soupy. Ramen for a quick fix + maki!

CAUTION : Do not eat here if you're particular with the ambience, ventilation and odor of the place. 128517

The foul odor was distracting at first but we didn't mind, it was still our little quick-fix ramen place. The place is old and probably due for renovation.

CRUNCHY MAKI ROLL
Was indeed crunchy, still in tact and had wasabi paste 3.5 with 4 being the highest intensity in my scale. We've had better, but it still is very satisfying!

SEAFOOD RAMEN
Had a lot of seafood chunks, surprisingly! 4-6 pcs of tahong, around 5-8pcs of shrimp, and squid rings. Not bad at all! The broth was also good, but I had to add chili powder on a SEPARATE bowl of soup for the added spice and it was better that way in my opinion 128514

CHEESE STICK something with fish? tenders?
Not the cheese you're expecting, if you love cheese 128518 Yep, cheddar / possibly with a small doze of cheesewhiz inside, sprinkled with very orangey cheese powder. But hey, there's coleslaw and wasabi paste on the side!

SERVICE
Our waitress was nice :)

Sometimes it's not really about the places you go to, but who you're with, that makes somewhat (rantworthy) places still very enjoyable.

looloove,
B

I was craving for something Japanese and came across this branch while waiting for traffic and rain to subside.

The ambience looks so worn out, the food so-so that I think it's not wortth the price.

This restaurant sucks. I ordered Chukadon which is supposed to be seafood and vegetables. There were literally 2 pcs of squid rings and 2 tiny shrimps. And a lot of squid balls and some other floury ball. Vegetables were not fresh. The mushroom was even turning sour. The salmon sashimi was frozen, and I found a bone. Awful. Just plain awful. Will definitely not eat ever again in any Rai Rai Ken

My friend always gets the ramen - i guess its good. I go for the sushis and sashimis. Tempura is ok but their sauce is a bit bland. Convenient and quiet place. Ive gotta try their other entrees soon :)

Needing a bit of privacy while dying for a quick Japanese meal fix? It's quaint with tasty bento meals, quick service, at reasonable prices

I dunno why whenever I eat ramen here I get a headache. Hmmm. I don't get that in other restaurants. Chinese restaurant syndrome? Except of course this is Japanese. But that won't stop me from eating here again.

Down side - I've had better with the same price they're charging.

They've got the best fried rice and tofu ever made by pseudo-Japanese chefs. You cannot leave the place without adding a few pounds. Awesome!
