Not exactly our go to restaurant for Japanese food but I was longing for some soup.

Hubby and I shared a Katsudon and a Gomoku Ramen. I've had better Gomoku Ramen which had a thicker more flavorful broth. The shrimps didn't feel fresh. The flavor was ok, enough to satisfy my soup craving. The sauce of the Katsudon was good but the breading was so so. The pork pieces were hard to chew.

I loved the pretty plates and bowls. The staff were pleasant and on their toes. Seating was a bit tight.

Overall dining experience was ok but the food was not great enough for repeat visits.

^this is a Pokestop and near a Gym

Surprisingly better! Before this visit, my last trip to any Rai Rai Ken restaurant was like 3 to 5 years ago. That visit I said, I won't go to any Rai Rai ken anymore because the food quality deteriorated. The last visit was far from my experience 5 years ago.

I ordered for udon noodle soup. To say the least, it was good. Salad was also good and portion was generous.

Rai Rai ken is worth trying out. I will go for seconds!
