Craving for some Ramen after shift! 128055

I'm with my co-worker we then tried the R.B.S or Ramen Bar Special since the server told us that its their best seller and its already good for sharing. At 380php its very filling and reasonable too! 128513

We also ordered their Classic Gyudon priced at 195php if I am not mistaken. The beef was tender and juicy at the same time. We just asked for extra broth since the noodles were that plenty btw its for free!

600++ for two is already worth it! Coming back for more!!

We were craving for a late night ramen episode and tada..we found this small haven at greenfield district. I think theyre open til midnight.

Though theres not much in the menu to choose from, we had the seafood ramen, super chasyu ramen and chicken karaage. The only thing i notice is that there only two servers and even at late night, many are still coming. It took a little while before our orders was served. Overall, the food and service was good.

Been eyeing Ramen Bar for a while now since it's just near our office and we're finally able to give it a go couple of weeks ago.. this is obviously a late review so I can't remember the exact price of it anymore 128514

The ambiance of the place is nice and they have quite accomodating staffs too. Their ramens are a bit pricey, but I think they're worth the price since their serving is big and can be shared by 2-3 people. We had the Spicy Chicken Karaage ramen for almost P400 I think? The chicken is tender and well seasoned. The noodles are just right and everything else is flavorful, we loved it. They also have budget ramens that starts at P99 I believe but it's not as tasty as more expensive ones. I also ordered a bowl of Gyudon (since I shared my ramen and I'm still hungry lol) and there's nothing special with their Gyudon, I still prefer Yoshinoya's hehe.

They also offer icecream for dessert. 128523

Overall... we enjoyed the food and I will definitely come back :)

Been here twice and the service is one of the MOST AWFUL service we've ever received in both instances. I understand that they were undermanned but that's no excuse to be bitchy. There's this particular girl who has been CONSISTENTLY RUDE in both our visits. So if you're allergic to terrible service, DO NOT GO HERE. No matter how bad your craving for ramen is, DO NOT GO HERE.

Food
Taste is good. Not salty, not too heavy and rich. However, pork has a little off taste ("hampok" or from old pig "sow meat"). Overall, it is okay; but not fully sure if I'll give it a second try.

Service
Fair.

Cleanliness
Fair.

I go to Greenfield a lot and I always see Ramen Bar but I've never thought to try it. But today I was hungry and had a huge craving for ramen.

Go to Ramen Bar because:

Their food is really good.

It may not be as traditional or as excellent as other ramen houses but it's good enough to make you do a happy little dance on your seat.

Their food is cheap.
My beau and I spent 812 on both of our meals, dessert, and beer. And the food is really good! (You know, just in case you've been skimming)

They have nice, polite, and engaging staff.
Nuff said.

It's not crowded.
I'm that type of person. Plus it really helps you enjoy you're meal.

We ordered the Classic Gyudon, Shoyu Ramen, and Tempura Ice Cream for dessert. The Gyudon was tasty. The beef was flavorsome, none of that gross beef after taste. It was a simple dish but it was like a hundred plus so it was real good for that price. The noodles of the Shoyu Ramen were firm and quite a lot for a dish that cost less than three hundred. Pork was tender. The broth though, after tasting it, I started getting panicky. Like, oh my god this ramen is love and I must eat it all. As for the tempura ice cream, the presentation itself gets you excited. The ice cream is covered in that flour thing they use for tempura and it's covered in more fried brown things (yeah, i really should've asked what it was. But i was too excited to start eating sorry) and then chocolate syrup. It was yummy. But I could've used more ice cream and less fried coating and less of the fried brown things.

Good restaurant. Good people. You're guaranteed a good time. At a good price.

Loved the ramen and the karage with Japanese mayo - yum! You can skip the gyoza, though.

By the nihongo-ized translation of its name (ラーメンばー When it should be バー) you'll know what to expect. No, it isn't a high falooting restaurant with a wide array of exotic ramen flavors to water your mouths over, nor do they offer any special, outstanding style of noodle. It's a simple, minimalist Japanese food restaurant that didn't spread itself too thin but managed to perfect the flavors of whatever is on the menu. To compare it with any other 350+php bowl ramen shop would be unjust, and should you choose to eat here, take it as it is: good, unpretentious basic Japanese food.

For our drink, we ordered the vanilla yuzu iced latte. Didn't taste the yuzu at all. It wasn't disgusting or gross, it just didn't taste like it had any yuzu in it!

We ordered their chicken karaage, which wasn't cut the usual karaage way, but tasted great nonetheless. Not AMAZING, but great. I ordered their mushroom gyuudon. They didn't use Japanese rice, but I'm not picky. Their mushrooms were fried but a bit underseasoned, and the sauce or beef juice or braising liquid or whatever it is called was a bit on the sweet side for me. Their beef was well cooked and I had a generous serving of it in my bowl, so I'm not complaining. It was delicious in all its simplicity.

Our highlight was the tempura ice cream. Deep fried ice cream? 'Nuff said.

Overall it was good, not SPECTACULAR, but better than just 'edible.' Nothing we ordered was repulsive nor unsatisfactory. I would recommend it if you're on a tight budget but want something better than Tokyo Tokyo. On the plus side, the owner (I think he was the owner) was very hands-on and very, VERY friendly and accommodating to the guests. If I could rate the restaurant on that alone I'd give it 5 stars.

For my 200th decided to post the reason why I wanted to changed and limit my food intake. June 6th Friday 11:30pm not planning to eat heavy but my ramen craving pushed me to dine in and savor a hot broth that night. Ordered a bowl of Shoyu Ramen. Yes it has rich broth, noodle was perfectly cooked, enough to fill your stomach of a good bowl of ramen, & reasonable price. I finished all the noodles & almost all the broth but past 12mn I had a bad case of migraine at the left temple of the head just upper left of the eye, then woke up with palpitations & can't sleep soundly. I was scared that night.
woke up around 6 or 7am cuz we had plans at Splash Island that morning. Not feeling well that morning until after lunch.

This started my focus on limiting my calorie intake to 1,400 a day and once a week of 2k calorie. In a way thankful that it made me realize that I love my life and made me rethink that I wanted to lose pounds and keep it and not over eat anymore.

I shy away from Ramen house since my experience. Yes I do have plans on eating a bowl of ramen but for share!

4 stars for the ramen
2 stars for the health scare

My order of Tonkotsu was spot on... But I really find their ramen a bit pricey. I did enjoy the free tempura ice cream which you get for using a BPI credit card. Though I still wouldn't rate it high on value for money, service was at least up to par.

Spicy Karaage Ramen - The noodles and broth were ordinary. Nothing special but I liked the karaage and the spiciness level. The serving was also big! There were five pieces of karaage! 128523
