I went with the Original Butao and it did not disappoint. I like how it had a few ingredients only but it was so flavorful. The broth was so rich in flavor. The noodles were a bit slippery but still manageable. The pork belly was the usual thick cut and super soft (plus points for someone who has braces).

My mom ordered Chashu Rice and Chicken Karaage. The chashu rice was okay but I would prefer to have more soy sauce or more salt on it. The chicken karaage is more than enough as a side dish because of its serving size. I was only able to enjoy the chicken meat inside and the crunchy part because my braces were newly adjusted that time.

Got the Red King ramen last night. It was real good and filling but too spicy for me eventhough I just chose level 1 of spiciness. I didn't get to sip and enjoy the broth much because of this. Next time I'm just going for the Original so I can finish even the soup.

Tom Yum Ramen!
I try to try every limited king they make and it's always rewarding to do so.
This was excellent. Just the right sweetness and spiciness. I can imagine how this would be the taste had ramen been invented in Thailand.

I LOVED RAMEN NAGI'S TSUKEMEN. All caps para intense! 128513 I can't say that it's the best dish there is in the whole wide world but really, it was just so fun to eat and it was, more importantly, delicious.

A Tsukemen (dipping noodle) is not your typical ramen where the broth and noodles are together in one bowl. I read somewhere that this was discovered and invented when a chef ate some noodles which he just dipped in leftover broth. Very innovative. 128517

So, a Tsukemen has morisoba (cold noodles) and broth placed separately in 2 bowls. You take a little amount of noodles, then dip them in the bowl with broth. Ramen Nagi's noodles weren't so cold but they were still good and mildly chewy. It was just a little difficult to get the noodles though because they were sticky. It's supposed to have the fire sauce but I requested to just skip it. The dipping sauce had the taste of their Butao but with a stronger taste which I loved. It also had some pork slices.

Thanks to Ramen Nagi's "special calendar" for the 10% discount! 9786

At Ramen Nagi, you can choose the richness of the soup, the amount of special sauce, the chewiness of the noodles, addition and omit of ingredients, spiciness level to your taste.

They have four general ramen dishes: Original Butao, Black King (Squid Ink), Red King (spicy), and Green King (pesto with cheese).

I like the Black King because of the delicious broth. The broth has a nice texture with plenty of flavor and very happy with the tenderness of the pork. This flavor leaves so much to be desired.

I so love the sizzling gyoza here. Full and rich of flavor. It's also worth trying.

The waiters give an impression that you will get a table but in reality you will get a seat, a seat in between strangers who aren't really willing to seat next to you because they too waited in line expecting a table. 128563

Overall, the food is satisfying and portion size is filling. The service were very approchable and accommodating and not to mention very efficient too. They also offer monthly specials. I would highly recommend this place.

This month's limited ramen is called "mexican king"

Oh well, its s fusion of Japanese and Mexican taste.
No matter how low the level of spiciness i chose for the ramen, it did made me sweat a lot.. Cause it has a lot of green chili and all those onion spice. The tomatoes were resounding taste too. The green paste you see is guacamole. Because of the high richness level that i have ordered, that guacamole was not that appreciated. More surprise at the bottom of the bowl. There were ground beef similar to the nachos.

Try it. Month long. How do you find it?

Tried their flavor for the month, black sesame ramen! And the pork tonkatsu rolls. Loved them both but the ramen is a bit too salty for my taste.

When my uncle said he'll bring us here, I did not hesitate because I've been wanting to try Ramen Nagi for months now. For the first timer, they had to orient me on how to order. We were given menus and colored pencils so we were the ones who'll encircle and customize our orders on how rich we want it, the way the noodles will be cooked, spicy level, pork shoulder or pork belly, add-ons, etc. My uncle said their servings were good enough for two people so I shared mine with my sister. We got the Green King + 2 orders of extra tamago/soft boiled eggs. The Green King was literally green in color because of the pesto on it. Since we chose 'rich' when in comes to the richness of taste, the pesto was really strong for both your nose and tastebuds. The noodles were also cooked right and as expected so that's a plus point. We chose pork belly to go with our ramen and it was delicious! I did not have a hard time biting it unlike how I experience it in our ramen restaurants. We also ordered Chicken Karaage but there was nothing special. Likely because Ramen Nagi's specialty are really ramen bowls.

If you're wearing white on your visit, ask for a bib so that it wouldn't mess up your top.

STILL the best place to have ramen here in Manila. Bar none. Try also the delicious salad, which helps balance the taste of the tasty ramen. Staff service is also exceptional.

Tried the butao and black king.

I prefer the butao better. But they were both good and flavorful.

Oh how I love Ramen, and Ramen Nagi sky rockets in flavor, if that's what your tastebuds are craving for. Unquestionnable Red and Black King, especialluy if you like customizing your food, like I do.

This particular visit was very disappointing though.

* It took more than 20mins for my glass of water to arrive (tjat tasted like rust, by the way
* Black King is made perfect the way I ordered it - rich, flavorful, spicy level 7, shoulder cut, hard noodles. But the garlic wasn't just hard to chew, it's burnt! Talk about 'disruption'.
* Just look at that tamago. . . not to mention how tasteless it was. I complained, but I still paid P60 to waste

The Black King tastes great. Not really a fan of their other "flavors" though... hence the rating.

Great and fast service; attentive and friendly waitstaff. Very delicious food. P800/person cost though if you want to try several dishes: butao, karaage, gyoza, and curry spring rolls.
