For a self-confessed ramen addict, I am punching myself that I only got to try Ramen Nagi now. 127836

Not too crowded on a Monday night. The seats are not too private. You're going to have to sit really close with other diners. No take out policy. There were 2 Japanese ladies sitting beside me. The ramen here must be really good then.

My order arrived in less than 5 minutes. Wow, it's so big! I got the Original King (Butao) ramen with extra cabbage coz I chose green onions for my veggies. You can actually customize your ramen. I got rich soup base, extra heavy special sauce, extra heavy garlic, belly part for the pork, and level 1 spicy. I also added lots of black pepper and a dash of chili powder from their condiments. Chili powder is really strong so go easy on that. The broth is so rich and flavorful! I loooove it! Thin noodles and normal firmness. I love it with lots of green onions. I thought I won't be able to finish it coz it's a big bowl but I did finish it. So full… be back next time.

My first time to eat at Ramen Nagi. And my expectations were met. Indeed, an authentic ramen that is rich in flavor. Yes, my Butao King is flavourful and some of you might not finish the whole serving because of its rich flavor. I suggest getting a light soup base or get a side dish to lighten the flavor and rest your taste buds. Will definitely try another ramen flavor when I get back.

My first time in Ramen Nagi and we got Original King and Green King. Though not in picture (our hungry-selves won over blogging, LOL) but we also got gyoza and chicken karaage. Both ramen were okay, same style of ordering with my all time favorite ramen resto, Ichiran, where you customize how you like your order- from the noodle down to the toppings. Karaage is typical though the gyoza could still do a little better. Still good as first try 128077

I liked their ramen , but I just find it too flavorful ? The flavors can get a little too much that you can't finish the whole bowl . The service is also a little tired . But still a good go to ramen place to cure your craving .

Had a mini-reunion with my ex-officemates together with our Japanese HR. We were all craving for Ramen so we chose to have lunch from Ramen Nagi, SM Aura.

127836Original king (Butao) P390
I liked how the noodles can be customized. I chose to have double spicy and cabbage as a vegie toppings. I finished everything on my bowl not even a drop of soup was left 128514

127834Chashu rice P190
I always order this together with ramen when we were still working in Japan and so we cant stop comparing it.9996🏼️ This tastes good by the way.

Personally, it doesn't meet how the authentic ramen & chashu rice tasted like but i still liked it and still going back here. 128077🏼

Ramen Nagi is the minimum standard for ramen. The ramen here never fails to satisfy my cravings. We had the Butao one together with gyoza which is of course a staple pairing and the Aurora Shrimp which was just so-so. Definitely sticking to my staples in this place next time.

First time to try Butao and it was perfect for the rainy weather. There was still a little spiciness but I could still deal with it. Not like the I can't eat anymore because it's too spicy level. Added pepper, crushed sesame seeds and beansprouts to mine.

The pork was really tender, and the noodles al dente. The soup was really savory and umami. I really liked it. However, I cannot compare it to the other popular ramen because I'm not really a ramen fan. I'm more of a sushi/Maki fan. Hehe.

No complaints too on the service because it was fast. Just got surprised Everytime the staff yells. Which is quite indistinguishable. Curious though. Lol.

All in all, would definitely come back to try the other items on the menu. Worth the 390 php and service charge.

I basically love the fact that you could customize your ramen. And they have the best Karaage I have ever tasted.

First time at Ramen Nagi. Yung feeling na first time mo pero hindi ka naman na amaze sa lasa ng food. Pricy for just a normal taste. Though i love the Aurora Shrimps. Pero nothing amazing.

We ordered:
•Original King Butao
•Chicken Karaage
•Chashu Rice

Gyoza is my all time fave when it comes to a Japanese comfort food. The gyoza here is so good everything is perfect you might to to order another batch!

The Black ink ramen is also very good and tasty... I suggest to always go for the Chef's recommendation if you've never tried it before.

The port ramen has this very unique flavour that one sip can you'd want more. My sister said it tasted like balut soup if you really pay attention on the details on your taste buds. I tried it again and she was right! But only if you tasted other soup or food before going for this one. Nonetheless i well comment this place and can go back there anytime when im feeling soupy 128514

I haven't eaten here in a while, and I must say, they are still amazing.

They've managed to keep up with the quality of the food.

As always I ordered the red bowl.

But another thing I discovered was their Karaage, it was delicious! Imagine five pieces of crispy boneless chicken thighs, super awesome! 128525128525128525

Red King / Akao with garlic, chili oil, cayenne pepper, miso minced pork, and chashu. 410 pesos. I like my noodles extra hard, with normal richness, cabbage and pork belly. Spicy level 1.

I happen to like spicy food, but I always err on the side of caution with ordering something that's too hot. Whenever we're here I always order the Butao with spicy level 1, and just add more chili oil to my liking. I decided to test my guts by ordering the Akao this time. The ball of minced pork enticed me, it reminded me of a tantanmen. I would've loved to order a rich broth instead of normal, I'm just worried about all the fat in it.

I was sweating after the first few slurps. I could tolerate it but I guess I prefer lowering the heat level by just a smidgen. We were laughing as the H lovingly wiped the pawis from my forehead. Like with other instances I wasn't able to finish my noodles. Good thing my son was with us because he took my spicy noodles and added it to his Butao. He can't take the heat of my broth. The H ordered a Butao too, level 6. I think I can manage a 4 after trying the 6. The type of heat from a Butao is surprisingly different from that of the Akao. I like the Akao better, less spicier though.

Arriving at 10:00 am we were the first ones there and there were only 3 tables occupied when we left. As much as I wanted to go to Mendokoro they opened at 11 and my hombres were too hungry to wait.

I still think the extra firm noodles can be firmer. I also got an odd block of chashu instead of a flat slice. Pang adobo? You can see it in the photo. Unlike other Japanese restaurants in the Little Tokyo area, and even in Ukokkei, they don't offer lunch sets which could've given us value for money.

| also sent me with a Nagi calendar with monthly discounts. Sayang because biglaan kami to eat here, I wasn't able to use it. I should just leave it in the car for emergencies.

Finally got to try Ramen Nagi and my sibs & I enjoyed it 127836128522 Service was really prompt. We got our orders in less than 5mins. I like that you can customize your ramen from the richness of the broth to the veggies. If you're undecided, you can simply choose chef's recommendation.

I ordered the pinakabasic Butao ramen. It was really good. I find the broth too rich & milky, but lacks the flavor I like in a ramen. My brother commented that the broth tastes like balut 128540 Chashu meat is tender.

We also ordered chicken karaage. It was good though I find the serving size to be small compared to the other ramen places. We enjoyed it nonetheless.

My siblings are now torn between Nagi & Yushoken. As for me, my heart still belongs to Yushoken 128540128156

This is my nth review of Nagi.  I am running out of adjectives in my arsenal.  I have dined at this restaurant for x number of times and they always deliver.  The food is sumptuous and the service is fast.  This killer combination is essential in every restaurant.  Excellent service is the key ingredient in making a first time customer to a cult follower.

Take a brief moment at look at that bowl of Ramen goodness.  At this point in time,  Nagi doesnt need praises, i'll let the food speak for itself.
