Had a Ramen craving last Thursday and met with my college friend in Ramen Nagi in Podium. I was surprised to see their limited flavors as I seated. By that day, they have the Bicol Express Ramen (P440). Its quite pricey than the regular ramens, but since Its a limited flavor, I gave it a try.

I'm into spicy dishes. No regrets, the sliced chili looks enticing. I ordered it with extra spring onion and extra hard noodles. No additional spicy flavor, as the server warned me of its spiciness.

Order took 10-15 mins before it was served. The broth / soup tastes exactly ad the usual Bicol Express (literally!). And spiciness is superb. It is served with 3 slices if crispy pork. The noodles neutralizes spicy taste.

Verdict: great twist, a filipino flavor over ramen. The chili is seriously hot128545

Its a Ramen Weather last Friday. I was surpised to see Ramen sets. These are served on a limited time, from 2PM til 6PM.

I tried the Butao Gyoza for P380. It is served with Ramen Nagi Chips, Potato Salad (wow! With wasabi after taste ♥️),Bean Sprouts, and of course the yummy, Gyoza. Ramen is smaller in size, and I can tell quality of meat is different from the regular priced ramen.. its like ham🤗 but the soup is consistent, still rich and flavorful.

Verdict: Ramen is still good! Though I sort of miss the chasu quality that I nirmally have. Bit for the price, its Sulit 128076🏼

Was so lucky to be one of the first people to try their limited edition cold ramen this year! Thank you, Ms. Ync!

For the month of April, they introduced two types of cold ramen - Tonkatsumen (top) and Tsukumen (bottom).
Their tonkatsumen will immediately catch your eye because of the tonkatsu on top of the cold noodles but don’t be deceived. I suggest asking for another plate so that you can mix the noodles because there’s some sauce below it. The dipping sauce or “broth” for this reminded me of tacos because of the tomatoes and the cabbage slices but it tasted a bit similar to barbecue sauce. I found the tonkatsu a bit dry.
Second is the tsukumen. Mix the spice on top of the noodles to give it a better mouthfeel and to add a hint of spiciness to it. Not a fan of super spicy food but this is good. Contrary to tonkatsumen, the meat (pork shoulder) of tsukumen is found in its sauce. The sauce is a bit salty and it washes out the spiciness of the noodles once you dipped it.

Overall, I liked tsukumen better. But note that these dishes are not customizable. I think they have to maintain the firmness of the cold noodles.

The noodlerama group inc that owns one of the top ramen restaurants in town has relaunched its Ace once again this summer. Yes, there's a new kind of 'men' this summer and im sure you're gonna like it too. Hah. 'Men' is for ramen that is.

It's already summer, but this men is just right for the season! Cold ramen!!! It's here again. The tsukemen and tonkatsumen. If you are a fan, notice that these dishes run 3 months the last year they launched it, but this time, they will only run it for one month!

128204128525 tsukumen @400PhP
Simple but good noodles with chili oil on top. The dip is full of very tender sliced pork shoulder. The tsukemen dip tastes bonito! I know bonito is a fish but when you eat it with the pork, it just really give that feeling you're eating bonito flakes. The chili oil will be washed away when you dip it, but you could ask the server to give you extra chili oil if you want it a little spicy.

128204 tonkatsumen @440PhP
Yo meat lovers! The tonkatsu was fairly above average! Ask for a plate so you could separate the tonkatsu first. Mix the dry noodle as there's somekind of oil at the bottom to taste. Squeeze in the lemon at the side to add a little zing. The tsukemen dip this time is more salty, and this one tasted like the sauce that you normally put in your tonkatsu. The pairing was superb!

I think ill be glad to have this forever in their menu, but too bad it's a month long campaign lang.

The tsukemen and tonkatsumen noodles are not customizable, and it's little tough-- just right to hold the tasty tsukemen dip. And it's in the chef special checklist when you're given a checklist.

Btw, the place here is a little dark. I think they dont have CR inside.

This marks the first time i added spice in my Butao King. I steer clear way from my Dragon Lady instincts and get this with zilch spice level.

The true mark of an awesome broth is you can add as much spice as you want and you still get to taste it flavor. I like the contrast the spice creates with the rich x flavorful broth.

The weather man has been very kind to us these past few days. I slept last night without the AC turned on after checking accuweather report. 22 degrees last night and I only set my room temp at 23. Mas malamig pa. The next day, I wanted to have something warm and filling so I waited for Podium branch to open so I can have a bowl of Butao King.

Service has always been excellent with Ramen Nagi and I have not had any bad experience and I'm not looking forward to it.

What I love about Ramen Nagi, just like Yabu, is not only the quality of service but also the quality of food they serve, not to forget consistency. Their Butao King is just insanely delicious.

I added Chicken Karaage which I also love. It was cooked really good and crispy. I also love the crackle in every bite and the japanese mayo served with it.

Kudos to the manager by the way. Visibility, she was not just there to give orders. She was as busy as the servers and just kept moving around .

I am not a Ramen person but my balikbayan cousins were lured by the promo of Ramen Nagi Podium... P600 (plus service charge) for 2 bowls of Ramen. The promo must be really effective as there were still people waiting for a table at 830pm on a weeknight.

My sister and I shared a Butao King. Since it was our first time here we decided to encircle Normal for most of the options except for the Noodles. We eat slowly so we figured we'd get hard noodles and they'd eventually become softer. Our order was good but not great enough to make us fall in love with Ramen. I love how my cousin's Butao King tasted different. She requested for less oil and more garlic. It made a significant difference.

I wasn't brave enough to sample my cousin's Black King. The color turned me off. Both cousins enjoyed their Ramen orders.

We also shared a Pork Katsu Roll. The cheese was the come on. We were quite disappointed at how it tasted. It left a weird after taste in my mouth. I didn't want to finish the dish.

The place was full, most probably because of the promo. The servers were preoccupied but moved quickly. We had to follow up on some things though and the bill took a while.

Overall, I was more impressed with the feel of the place, the look of the menu and the fact that you had to place your order by encircling items with an old school highlighter.

I learned that the ramen they are serving are not legit. Usually, ramen broth are made for 3hrs but they have this packet i think that suits a serving of ramen. Not much waiting compared if that broth was really made legit. Still didn't stop me from eating there again.

Black King Kuroo Ramen: P410 (Buy 1 Get 1 for P600 promo is ongoing for Podium branch only until Aug. 21)

Taste 127836: 127775127775127775127775 - Broth was good and rich as expected. Got the right of garlicky and spicy levels also, however I was not able to get the taste of squid ink component of this variant. Either I made wrong combination of flavors upon ordering or they're on a rush preparing dishes because of their promo week. Idk 128129 I still prefer the Original tho.

Value for Money 🤑: 127775127775127775127775 - With P410 you will get a BIG bowl of ramen goodness. Sulit na rin!

Place 127968: 127775127775127775127775127775 - The branch is located at The Podium, behind SM Megamall. Good thing Ramen Nagi is quite accessible now thru main malls in the metro.

Although i wanted to try their tom yum special ramen, i stuck with the king butao classic today. The flavour is perfect as always, but there was an unusual amount of oil floating on top. Im not sure where it came from but i didnt like that the oil formed a film after my ramen broth cooled.

Good news Ramen 127836 lovers! This coming May, Ramen Nagi will be launching 2 new delicious taste. It was a lucky day for me. A privilege to savor these yummy goodies. 127884127886

The place is full during lunch time. Ramen Nagi has these staple printed red clothing hanging all over the place and wood accents. Plus lovin' how the condiments were arranged on tables. And upon entering, there's the welcome greeting , "Do Itashimashite"!. I was welcomed by Eric (RN's Marketing slash entertainer). It was actually my 2nd time to dine in Podium and this time I came for a mission: TO TRY THE NEW NOODLES ! And the food tasting began after 5-10 minutes of ordering.

I decided to try first the Tonkatsu-Men (P470) Its a thick cold noodles topped by deep fried pork tonkatsu. It is served with a dipping bowl of tomato tonkatsu soup with nagi spices. I ordered this one as presentation is more appealing plus I love tonkatsu. The soup is mainly tomatoes, leaks, japanese herbs and oil. The taste of the soup is not overpowering, but not bland. Just a warning: Need fork for the noodles, which I find hard to use chopsticks, compared with ramen noodles. It takes a lot of effort before I tasted it. First, I had a slice of tonkotsu, dip it then the noodles and dip it. This is a good idea, its not the usual tandem with rice. This is another excellent idea of enjoying a constant Japanese dish.

I'm half full, but still excited for the 2nd dish, Tsukemen (P360).It is composed of thick chewy noodles topped with nagi fire sauce served with a dipping bowl of bonito soup with chasu strips. This is closer to the usual ramen, except that broth is separated from noodles. One thing I love is the spiciness of nagi fire sauce. A little of it mix with the noodles makes a difference. A certain kick in taste while sipping at the broth on the side. There's a generous amount of chasu strips (simmered / braided pork). I surprisingly enjoyed this one. So its true not to judge until you try. I thought it was sort of boring because of the plain looking noodles with a bit of sauce.

Flavor: 127775127775127775127775127775both noodles have unique taste. If you love Tonkatsu with a twist or taste of spicy noodles that goes along with meaty broth .. You got it here!

Price: 127775127775127775127775reasonable price. Since most of the major ingredients are sourced from Japan, expect quality meal. Its all worth it128077🏼

P.S. Thanks Peanut D. 128523 this was a great experience.

This gloomy weather (plus all the ramen reviews - looking at you Marc David M haha) got me craving for some good ramen.

Butao ramen was good as usual BUT the ajitamago seemed way too sour! Like it has gone bad? Not sure. All I know is, I've eaten here many times and I know how the ajitamago should taste like. I couldn't finish the egg. 128542

Other than that the broth was good. Chashu was okay. Cabbage though was minced too much.

Overall, while I liked the hot soup, it didn't really satisfy my ramen craving. It just tasted different. Maybe the egg ruined it for me? I don't know. 128542

(Service was good.)

Finally got to try Ramen Nagi and it did not disappoint! Ordered Black King which I heard was one of the crowd favorites. I ordered it as the chef recommended but I loved the fact that you can customize how you like your ramen.

It was quite weird to look at at first but hey, we don't order for the pictures, do we? It was a good blend of flavors and I liked how spicy it was.

Also tried the appetizer that looked like cheese sticks but had curry in it instead (forgot the name 128547) that one was good as well!

They have a promo now that if you order at least 1200 worth, 1 order of Black King will just be charged 100php. Not bad!

I'll be back for more.128539

I wasn't a ramen person but I think I am now!!! Mmmmm

Dishes worth mention:
| Original King (Butao) - that's the ramen. I like how it's a set dish but at the same time you can personalize it in terms of taste, softness of noodles, etc. It has a miso base and is light but ironically filling at the same time. Hehe
| Chasu Rice - Japanese rice cooked with a special sauce and topped with roasted pork. It remind me of the Drunken Man's Bowl from Hanamaruken. A smaller, leaner version and minus the egg.

I would definitely consider this place when I crave for Ramen next time!

The only down side was the flies surrounding the painting/poster beside our table. And also the distracted staff, it was always the manager who ended up attending to our table.

Never thought I'd be back with so much ramen places to try. I decided to skip my favorite Black King and tried Butao this time. I had it extra spicy and rich. Ramen Nagi definitely is one of the best ramen places. This Butao Ramen tasted really good and I actually like it better than the Black King Ramen. The Chashu was too huge though and I had a hard time eating it. I remembered they used to slice it in two. The server said that they recived a directive to serve chashu that way. Anyways, customers can always request to have if cut. The ramen was very filling. I didn't only enjoy the delicious broth but also the noodles that were cooked perfectly. The service was flat compared to their Aura branch but no big deal, I can only focus on my Butao Ramen that time.

I had Black King with gyoza and chicken karaage when i came here with my family last time and i loved it! The food was awesome, the ambience was great, and the service was superb! I remember chatting with our server Patrick because he saw me playing COC. What a friendly fella! He provided and did everything we requested from him.
