I got the longsilog, and he got the halo-halo. He was torn between the halo-halo and chicken mami, but told him to get the halo-halo for PhP110 so he could share it to me. Hihi. The halo-halo is at its best as always, very smooth. Sarap!

RAZON’S
Anybody who’s been to the Greenbelt Chapel (Sto. Nino De Paz Chapel) would know how hot it is to be inside the chapel, especially during summer season.

Though I prefer to go to Magallanes for Sunday Masses, Greenbelt Chapel is always the most practical choice due to its proximity to my place. Few Sundays ago, I went to hear mass at Greenbelt Chapel, and the heat was just unbearable. Not only that I was sweaty and all – I was also very hungry.

Immediately after mass, I did not think twice: I need a halo-halo fix and an old reliable palababok/pancit luglug. Since I was already in Greenbelt, nothing comes to mind except Razon’s. Their place is not really that big, so I was hoping (and praying!) that I still can get a seat. It was dinner time on a Sunday which is a family day, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were several empty tables. Few minutes later, it was full house. I am glad I got there first!

I was alone, sweaty, and hungry. I immediately ordered their halo-halo and pancit luglug, plus coke zero. Weird combo?! I did not have to wait long. I was immediately served with my luglug and coke zero, and I finished them both in about, or maybe less than, 5 minutes. Saraap! My last visit in Razon’s was months ago; and I was missing their food already. I know - that was a weak justification! Lol.

Then came their famous halo-halo. So simple yet so yummy. My sisters would disagree, as they always want their halo-halo heaping with ingredients of different colors and sizes. Again, I finished the halo-halo in a flash!

I think I do not need to describe their luglug nor their halo-halo anymore. What I can describe is the feeling of satisfaction and happiness I felt during that time; as I gave in to my cravings. As I have shared before, while I do eat for biological purposes, I make sure that eating is always a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable event for me. And so it was at Razon’s!

Last night before we went to get a cup of tea. My friend ate here first. Ordered Chicken and Pork Asado. No picture but it taste good infairness. The maasim taste i like coz i thought asado only means sweet for some recipe. Anyway a must try once i can eat rice once in a day. Yey!

And he also ordered puto for me. It taste good as well and kinda sulit for 9pcs small puto only for 60pesos i think. But i only ate 4 or 5. Diet. Must think of diet. Hahaha

Lastly, this heavenly halo halo. I only tasted it coz for sure you know the reason. Omg. It brings me back when we used to have immersion in college at Guagua the original place where Razons was created. This is my perfect halo halo. Bananas, beans, milk, ice shave and leche flan. My love for bananas are undeniable.

Their place though the typical resto. But overall i want to go back and eat there as soon I'm permitted to eat good again. Hehe 128077128522

Summer is synonymous to halo-halo. And there's no better halo-halo in this part of town than Razon's! My summer escapade with Razon's starts with me eating the clean shaved ice surrounding the leche flan. A leche flan lover myself, I would always save that thin leche flan slice on top of the halo-halo and eat all of the shaved ice around it, digging until I reach the tasty macapuno down below, making a tiny tower-island of the leche flan. And yes, I do not halo the halo-halo. I eat the ingredients one by one and savor every bit of it, eating the leche flan last. Save the best for last!

I love their halo-halo! It may look unappealing compared to the other more colorful halo-halos but it tastes so good! Perfectly shaved ice over really yummy halo-halong ingredients topped with leche flan. Simple but yummers! 127848127848127848

The simplicity of Razons white halo halo may look unappealing in contrast to our usual halo halo that looks festive in colors because of the different ingredients. I personally dont like the regular halo halo because I dont like beans and chickpeas. I usually ask the tindera to omit these two and go generous with other sahog instead. So Razons halo halo is a welcome relief. It might look blah but its packed with flavor.

And then theres pancit luglug. Saucy and flavorful with finely crumbled chicharon. Im not sure why its called luglug but for me its like pancit malabon served pancit palabok style? Please enlightened me. Haha! These two bestsellers are so simple yet will amuse your tastebuds. Will give 5 stars sana kaya lang walang shrimp yng pancit eh. And btw, I had these at Gloretta's foodcourt.

Craving for halo-halo since Kiko G posted his DJC halo-halo review and Razon's halo-halo is the closest I can get. 127848

They've added new food items on the menu and changed their prices a bit but it was all good.

Yummy halo-halo as always. 1108811088110881108811088

Pork sisig meal - P158
halo halo - P96

Ambiance - upgraded carinderia aura in the middle of a high end mall foodcourt. Not that spacious, just enough to make it look like it's always "jampak", clever isnt it?

servings - solo. Nufsed.

Taste - sisig lacks in seasoning i guess? Thanks to mang toyo and mr. Hot sauce. It isnt my first time to try their famous halo halo, and i know also that it doesnt have much sahog in it. I think it's better called banana con yelo, simply because all you can taste is the banana hahaha! Well, it has leche flan and nata, plus the ice's consistency is comparable to the sands of boracay haha! On the brighter side, it's not too sweet. Haha

Overall - i dont think this resto have the right to be pricey, sisig was just plain sisig that's it, if i have to re-price the meal, it should fall below the 90pesos mark. And the halo halo? That's too much! Magkano lang ba ang saging, nata, yelo, gatas at leche flan?!?!? Leche! Hahaha!!! Dapat singkwenta pesos lang yan! So ang binayaran namin eh ang "branding"!

Pero naubos naman lahat hahaha

LOOLOO IS THE BEST APP EVER. We were walking around Greenbelt when my mom asked if there was a Razon's here. I searched for it on looloo and it promptly told me where it was. Yes! Thank you!

We ordered 6 servings of halo-halo and they served it in a jiffy. It was delicious as always. :)

Yum! I had the pancit luglog and their specialty halo halo... the pancit was good, the serving was not so big but it was just right, they have a bigger serving which they call pancit plus if you want a bigger serving...
I'm not a huge fan of halo halo, the true Filipino halo halo with beans, gelatin, langka, etc... but I do love Razon's halohalo bec. they only have the stuff that i do like in halo halo which is saba (banana), lecheflan, macapuno, milk, and ice... Perfect! maybe given a choice i would add lang nata de coco haha, thats about what I eat even if you gave me a choice of the whole halo-halo shebang....
