This was our Visita Iglesia stopover after going to UST, San Sebastian Church, Santa Cruz Church and Binondo Church. It was scorching hot and we needed to cool down. What better way than to indulge in their Halo-Halo. They gave in to my request to remove the macapuno and substitute it with bananas. I know i know! It's not really halo halo anymore haha. That's how I eat my Razon's halo halo. I love the texture and the fineness of the ice, the sweetness of the bananas and the soft leche flan.

What was supposed to be just merienda turned into an early dinner. I was disappointed that it was barely dinner time and they already ran out of bangus. The niece was sad that there was no more chicharon. I was still abstaining from meat so I ordered the Pancit Luglug and asked for the chicharon to be served on the side. The nieces loved the chicharon, ate it with their white rice and arroz caldo. I was really sad as the pancit without the chicharon was bland and I had to season it with soy sauce.

The rest of the gang ordered Sisig, Dinuguan w/ Puto, Arroz Caldo, Fried Chicken and Lechon Kawali. No complaints from them but no praises either.

It was uncomfortably hot in the dining area near the parking lot and the one leading to the cashier. It was a bit cooler in the area near the bay where we were seated in a really tight table for 6 adults and 2 kids.

I'd probably go back for a very quick halo-halo (saging con yelo) run if I were in the area.

Well what can I say? Their Halo-Halo is quite simple but really good. There are only 3 toppings (Leche Flan, Banana, Macapuno) so I'm not quite sure if it can be called Halo-Halo or Saging Con Hielo.

The Sizzling Bulalo Steak is heavenly as always. I feel closer to my maker with every spoonful of that bone marrow goodness! 128561

eating a cold dessert on a rainy night. awkward or not?

Had a meet up with my collage buddies last saturday, one of my friend arrived super late (as in late na tapos na kami mag dinner lahat). at nag inarte pa ang lola mo na she wants to eat here, cge na lang at least the rest can have dessert while she's having her mains. harhar! as always ms katrina.

to tell you the truth, this is my second time to eat razons halohalo within an 8year period in staying at manila. the first was way back 5 or 4 years ago so this is kind of a first time for me.

parking may not be a problem on a non pick hours, but if it is, then its as difficult as like getting a wildflour cronuts. lols.

ambience, came here around 9pm on a very heavy rainy night so we were greeted by a deserted place for our dessert venue. the place smells filthy and flours are sticky, un mopped. 128557128078

service, they were warm, a compliment for the cold weather and fast, which should be since we were the only group around.

price. 95 for a glass.

taste. I actually find it regular tasting. I really couldn't appreciate the difference between one halo halos taste from the other except of course the toppings they put into it. am just glad theirs only have macapuno and sweetened bananas which are my favorite. good thing they dont put beans.

maybe I should try this again on an appropriate weather for me to appreciate it more.

The best halo-halo esp. Kung ikaw ung tipo na hindi mahilig sa "laman" ng halo-halo. The shaved ice is fine than others. Flavorful kahit na konti lang yung nakalagay na ingredients. Its worth the price. (P95.00)

But the air con is in full blast. Its super chilly. Which is not nice when you're eating halo halo.
