After our weekly Thursday Basketball we went to Recovery here in Crossroads. Surprisingly there was no line that time, which was around 12am. Maybe because it was a Thursday night.

I got the Happy Beef rice “Full Recovery”, the waiter asked me if I prefer white or brown rice I initially thought to get the white rice to savor the taste of the ulam but later on decided to get the latter mainly because well brown rice is more expensive and they dont charge extra for it so Might as well get the brown rice. As usual service was nice you dont have to ask for a water refill since they will be refilling it once in awhile. Also the staff are all smile and very accommodating.

-this is recovery’s take on the classic Pinoy hangover food the Beef Pares. The beef is Tender not to sweet and you can really taste the Pares taste we are all familiar of. Also they have different sauces in every table namely their own mixture of vinegar, Sriracha and Hoisin sauce. I dont know about you, but I like my beef with some sriracha for a little kick of spyciness in it. The price for the full recovery tho is on the high end side since its almost 300 including service charge. But Im pretty sure you will be full after one serving hence the name. They also have a smaller and cheaper serving for every meal for almost half the price sorry I forgot.

Recovery food is the place to it after one of those walwalan nights you have with friends. Its usually full every saturday morning but theres another branch in crossroads if incase you dont want to lineup.

I plan do some more reviews for looloo so more people will be informed on restos and other places before visiting it. Also I will be taking better picture/s next time. 128515 Let me know how I can improve my reviewing I dont usually do this, I just feel like to tonight but I might do a few more in the future. 128076🏻

After attending an event that had booze and I was craving for something oily which I normally crave for when I get a little tipsy. Ordered Doc Sisig (full-Php 235). Got brown rice instead of white. It was mostly rice though like 3/4 rice then 1/4 sisig. Tasted ok had fat bits too.

There were only a few tables available though so we had to wait for an empty table.

Anyare?

While I’m not a big fan of this place, for a no frills dinner this place was always right on the money.

Tried the Happy Beef for the first time. I wanted to be “adventurous” and veer away from my usual. There was nothing happy about this. It was dry and tasteless. Both the meat and the brown rice. My friend and I ordered the same one and we both didn’t enjoy it.

My other friend has a better bowl with her sisig but by better I mean mas masarap sa happy bowl pero hindi pa din.

We always get the adobo here. And I haven’t dined in here in years.

I think I ordered the wrong food or maybe I was allured by the photo of the salad (the only salad on the menu) 128533

I wanted to get some greens for dinner last night to pair with my pasta at home. So I ordered the Oriental Salad Regular (145php). It was a really sad salad with lettuce, 1 small baby tomato cut in half, carrots, a few singkamas, cucumber and lots of bean sprouts 128528 #bumilinalangsanaakosagrocery 128531

Perhaps will try the other rice bowl meals which I believe gets most of the reviews here.

So we woke up around 6pm, did a bit of errands in BGC and ended up really hungry. Hubby wanted Gram's Diner while I wanted Mercato ... both were closed and we ended up here at Recovery Food.

We've heard of it before but never tried it. It has a reputation as an after drink place.

I ordered the Doc Sisig while hubby got PinaTUNA-Y and the Hey Jude Paksig.

The sisig is really good. I was just a little disappointed thaf the egg was small. I just ordered the regular size and I was full but really happy (I actually did a little dance inmy chair after eating).

Hubby got the Full Recovery sized PinaTUNA-y. I tasted it and it was just okay. Hubby had to ask for soy sauce even though there is salted egg in the dish cause he found it lacks salt.

The Hey Jude Paksig is bangus belly with vinegar broth. I think it is supposed to be a sort of Paksiw. The fish was grounded and does not have the slimy/fishy texture. I liked it a lot if I wasn't full, I would've eaten this too.

We also got a bottle of their dalandan juice... which is refreshing and perfect this summer.

For around 700php it was a really good deal.

My friends and I dropped by RF to “recover” after the drinking that we’ve been doing earlier that night. I might've been a little tipsy and very sleepy during this time thus the lack of a decent photo so I guess i would just go straight to the review hehe

We got My Mami! (175php) each and what can I say, it was the perfect food (at least for me) to stuff your stomach after consuming alcohol - probably because its soup, has meat and carbs also. My tipsiness went away after a few sips of soup.

The place is obviously living up to its name because its full of post party goers wanting to relieve themselves of drunkenness.

I may go back again, try their food and take a decent photo when there’s no more alcohol involved.128517128513 But needless to say, it was a good bowl of mami!

COMFORT FOOD IS LOVE!
Recovery food is home to rice lovers like me and most Filipinos. Rice is something I won't be able to resist eating in a day so when I first discovered Recovery Food at UP Town Center, I was surprised restaurants like this exist. It's even open 24/7! This is such a good deal for employees who still work at wee hours and can't find a good and affordable meal.

I usually (ONLY) order their best seller TAPA DE MORNING P160 (Regular Size)p paired with Aligue Rice. When I first tried the Aligue Rice, It made me dance!!! It tasted so delicious I couldn't get enough of it and even craved for it the days after. It's not your usual garlic rice or yang chow rice, it's ALIGUE RICE. So Pinoy and so masarap!
I love how the Tapa have a sweetness to it that contrasted the saltiness of the Aligue Rice. It tastes better when their Special Suka is on the rice.

I would love to try their other rice meals but I just couldn't get enough of this yet. Any reco's na mas masarap? Pls let me know!!!

Rice lover forever. 10084

Pina-TUNAy
Lecheng Kawali

So Thursday was NRC day (y'all should try it. It's free, they make you try on new Nike shoes, you meet new and friendly people. Burning all that fat you get from the 24/7 food tripping is just a bonus. 128111). So after a very very tiring 10km run (Wew. Who knew my food loving body could run that long in just an hour? 128514), of course we need to get back all those calories we just burned.

And it just so happened that Recovery Food is just a few blocks away. And what better way to recover than to gobble down Recovery Food? So we dragged our weary feet to the resto.

We usually get Tapa de Morning but since we're feeling adventurous, we decided to veer away from our usual and got Pina-TUNAy and Lecheng Kawali instead.

The Pina-TUNAy was good although we expected it to be spicier than it was. Anyway, they have Sriracha sauce so we just added so that's okay. The Lecheng Kawali was crispy with lots of skin (yum!) although it also came with a little bit more fat than I wanted my lechon kawali to have (they said no fats. They lied! Lied! 128545 Lol). The homemade sauce was a good pairing. And for all rice bowls, you get to choose if it comes with white or brown rice. So it's healthy on that part if that matters to you.

All in all, it was a good experience.

We had it on delivery and i ordered for their hala ka which is a chicken strip on turmeric rice on a full recovery at 285 + delivery charge. What we got was something that was a size of half recovery at 130 difference. Since some of us order for half recovery of the same thing. Felt rip off by ot since i could have something better at 300.

First time to eat and craving for new versions of favorite breakfast food. First i tried my mami the soup is tasty just like la paz batchoy but the noodles is different i feel its too gooey not good for the entire dish. Oriental salad is good combination vegetables and few fruits the dressing is good i taste there is a peanut butter in it and i enjoyed that. The main dish tapa morning not so unique in taste similar to other tapa haus, happy chicken is delicious its like tapa chicken, alfonchorizo just right not so unique to me but its good the rice itself for all meals is already a meal i can eat it without ulam one more i like their dalandan juice eventhough its powder mix. Over all i enjoyed their food and the price is right on the budget.

This place is a great stopover for any late night or early morning hangover fix, a visit from hyve or valkyrie straight here is a great suggestion. I found myself here for a different kind of recovery, recovery from heat, went for a take out of tapa de morning while i had the sagolama here instead, it was not that all good but it does help me recover from the lunch time heat of walking from office to here and back. 128522

Half recovery of tapa de morning comes only at 180. Its made up of homemade tapa, egg either scramble or sunny side up, ensalada and rice *white or brown rice. This is their best seller according to their server but to be honest its just plain old tapa, oh by the way you can had the rice on aligue if you dont mind the cholesterol.

My previous visits here i prefer their Porkqua at around same price, its a tender brined pork fillet in a petchay rice. And their S.S.T. is also good at around 180. Its their version of aweet spicy tuyo on a brown or white rice.

This resto offers simple dishes for anyone who doesnt want to shell out much for their lunch or dinner at an upscale area like bgc. Or for anyone who just wants to recover before heading home. 128522

Doc Sisig - that's what is on the picture (155php) 128076🏻

I'm used to Pampanga Classic Style Sisig, that's why when this was served I was surprised.

Crunchy. Tasty. You won't leave their place until you finish your bowl (they serve it in a bowl instead of plate, which is fine) 128077🏻

Customer Service is as it's best, fast and accomodating.

Venue - too small, it only has few tables considering they have a lot of customers, tendency is it creates a line.
