And the struggle to avoid meat continues.. 128563128563

Tapa De Morning, Doc Sisig, Lechon Kawali, and Amadobo were all sooo tempting!! Any from that list would have been the best recovery food from our very tiring day. But nope, just can't! Must resist temptation!!!! 128557128148128529128584128585 128563128566

Good thing, some restaurants offer meals during the lenten season. Here at Recovery Food, they have PinaTuna-y as their lenten offering. We ordered one PinaTuna-y, SST, Hey Jude's Paksig, Cheese Stick, and Oriental Salad for me. 128513 Fish overload!!! 128031128032

We were all tired and hungry from our Visita Iglesia so we ordered right away when we arrived. But service was super slow. We waited for almost 30minutes. 128563128563128563 Also, it was weird that the cheese sticks arrived last which was supposedly our "appetizer". We only ordered it just so we have something to eat while waiting but.. Oh well.

Hmmm... everything was just okay but since we were really hungry, naging masarap sila! 128517 Because when you're hungry, you're not allowed to be picky and choosy. You'll eat anything. And almost everything's yummy! 128518

Cheese Sticks (7pcs - 99)
- good but nothing extra special. They're just like the ones we can easily make at home. Plus it wasn't that hot anymore when served to us. Would have been better if it was served right away. Still hot and cheese still melted. 128527 But it's nice that even though it wasn't that hot and crispy anymore, it wasn't that soggy and oily either. And no nakakaumay feeling from the cheese. And the mayo and ketchup combo fot the sauce was goood!! Brings back so much elementary recess memories hihi. 9786

Oriental Salad (Reg: 145; Full: 285)
- mixed greens, carrots, sprouts, cherry tomatoes, green mangoes, turnip, pineapple and peanut dressing. This salad is probably one of the saddest salad in the history of all sad salads 128557128557 It wasn't bad but the flavor, for me, was not working. The mangoes, yup they're green mangoes, they're supposed to be sour but it was way too sour. It was so hard trying to eat and finishing all of them. 128529

Hey Jude's Paksig (Reg: 165; Full: 260)
- Sarangani Bangus belly cooked in vinegar broth w egg and rice. Hmm, this was our least favorite that night. Since it's a paksiw, we were expecting the mukhasim feeling but sadly, no mukhasim feeling at all. It was too "ordinary" and nothing special.

S.S.T (Reg: 180; Full: 280)
- Spicy sweet tuyo w egg and garlic rice. Ahhhhhhh, our favorite!! Everyone's favorite! Tuyo soooo good you wouldn't want to share it! What made this even better was the fact that it is boneless already! I don't like eating tuyo because it's one of the hardest fish to eat but with Recovery Food, no need to worry about that. You just eat and enjoy!! 128525

PinaTuna-y (Reg: 155; Full: 235)
- calamansi spicy tuna, tomatoes, salted egg and egg fried rice. No calamansi and spicy taste but this was still good. We liked how they cooked the tuna (just like how we prepare adobo flakes). I liked that some were crispy but some were still soft. And the egg fried rice was yummy with lots of scrambled egg in it hihi 127859127834

Overall, despite the loooong wait and slow service, we still enjoyed our dinner especially the SST! Hay, tuyo!! 128525128077🏼

Quick Lunch with a friend ...

We had SST ( sweet and spicy tuyo) and their new lechon kawali.

Tapa De Morning is a must try too! Plus you'd also like their cheese pimiento ( with fries)

Well, I often go to their regular bowl as I can't finish the full recovery.

I love RF and price is okay.

Quick dinner before my shift last night. Got to grab something to fill my tummy so I can also have my daily dose of coffee.

Doc Sisig and Lecheng Kawali with brown rice paired with sweet dalandan juice to lessen the guilt feeling. Whatta rice way to start the day (night). 128514128514128514

Their super crispy and crunchy lecheng kawali was so sinful! It will make you ask for another bowl of rice. Doc Sisig was just oookay... I still prefer sisig served on a sizzling plate.

We decided to have breakfast at Recovery and tried their tapa de morning and my mami. Their tapa was soft and tender and is perfect with brown rice and scrambled egg. Their mami noodles is just on the average. Its open 24 x 7 so you can go visit anytime you're craving for tapa.

Tried the new lechon kawali bowl. It was really crunchy and tasty but after finishing the bowl I regretted not getting my usual tapa de morning haha. This dish could use some side veggies or something to lessen the guilt.

I had the SST or Sweet snd Spicy Tuyo with the dalandan juice which I must say can rival the famous dalandan juice of Antonio's. And of course my husband and daughter had the tapa which they really loved. Too bad the promo of free cheese sticks were done last August 1 so we just ordered one to go for our snack128522

I still prefer sinangag express than this. It waa good tho. I think i made the wrong choice of rice which was brown rice with aligue it doesnt match the tapa thats why i didnt liked it that much. Maybe the tapa compliments better in a plain garlic rice. And i liked their iced tea (iced tea ang nagdala) Hahaha! I'll try their tapsilog in a plain rice next time.

I think of myself as a late bloomer when it comes to these two Filipino favorites: tuyo and sardines.

I never ate sardines when I was a kid, basically because I am too lazy to take out all the bones. And it didn't help that I absolutely hate soup with fish, or fish with sauces (with the exception of steamed lapu lapu from the restaurants). It was only when sardine pasta became a thing, and I got hooked. Plus, when I had Gio C's mom's Gourmet Tuyo, I just couldn't stop craving for it!

I've read some reviews about Recovery Food, and while most reviews were mixed, I still wanted to find out if it was worth going to. I live so far from the south, and going all the way to BGC when I wasn't sure if it would be good will be a waste of effort (and gas!) for me.

Good thing my officemate brought this for baon a few months back! I had a few spoonfuls, and I really liked it!

So when #TeamClingy decided to go to Tagaytay, and Chichi T and I were really early (and hungry!!!!) we went ahead to Recovery Food to have a light breakfast while waiting for the others.

Chichi T had their Tapa de Morning, while I got their S.S.T. (Spicy Sweet Tuyo).

You have the option to have plain rice, brown rice, or garlic rice (FOREVERRRRRRRR) for your base, and sunny side-up or scrambled for the egg. I got brown rice, and a sunny side-up. It felt like eating at home, minus the stench of tuyo lingering inside the house! It was really good, definitely comfort food levels.

I was surprised that they served our food in less than 10 minutes. That's a major plus especially when you're up very early because you're hungry, or just hungry in the middle of the night, or really hungry after all the drinking. Hahaha!

I wish they would open somewhere north, the south is just too far!

P.S. The place had really bad lighting, even in the morning! :(

Had brunch with the wifey.
My thoughts: 2nd time to eat at RF, 2 different branches. First was the tapa, next was Chinese sausages. First time I was drunk, 2nd I was sober. Both times were Really nothing special.

Wife's thought: ( I'm a tapa girl) so I ordered tapa, one taste and I thought it was absolutely horrible and it doesn't taste like tapa.

She said and I quote after we left the restaurant. "babe, never again"!

So hence 2 stars. Sorry RF.

I've heard a lot about this place since it served comfort "recovery" food. Recovery in a sense that its 24/7 and available for all those people trying to get past a hangover or early breakfast when you can't sleep anymore.

The Tapa de Morning was okay nothing great. It was a bit too startchy for me and it didnt have that much taste. The Happy Chicken was good. I got both with brown rice and its nakakabusog! Good thing my sister and I shared both meals.

Fell in love with their SST - Sweet and Spicy Tuyo. One of the budget-friendly food chains in Molito Complex. And tell you what, it's open 24/7. 9786

On my first visit, I tried the following
1. happy beef

We've been here thrice now. We like this place because: of several reasons: 1) they offer options to go healthy (i.e. brown rice instead of the white, wheat bread instead of the usual white); 2) portions are filling, just enough to satisfy my hunger; 3) selections are available at affordable rates; 4) service is good; and 5) it's near Gold's Gym! :)) I hope they widen their food selection though! 128522

So happy they brought this place to the South!!! I love breakfast food 128539128539128539 Went here at around 11:30am with my friend and it was so funny because we were the only ones there so the staff were all very attentive. We wanted to be seated at the loft but the aircon was still turned off, though the staff were nice enough to offer to turn it on. Of course I had to order the Tapa de Morning (which I regretted I didn't get with the Aligue Rice) while my friend ordered their Porkqua Curry. Both tasted good although I got a little sawa with the Tapa because it was more sweet than salty. I recommend putting Sriracha since it perfectly compliments the dishes 128076 Reasonably priced too! Will definitely come back and try the other dishes 128077
