After watching Les Mis we had late dinner good that they extend up to midnight. The place is very cozy and rich it such a wonderful place to eat if you are looking for a chinese fibe dining. For the food my favorite the chicken in suychian sauce perfecy balance of all taste, their version of seafood noodles is good and walang umay, yang chow rice have a lot ingredients but the sweet sour pork just ok. Service is fast perhaps place is almost empty that time. The main attraction here for me is the place this is five star restaurant. The food price is not cheap but its good and the place is fantastic. I will return here to celebrate special occasion.

Seeing the generally positive reviews, I'm not sure what to think. Maybe its my pallette, but I feel I've had much better tasting and better quality Chinese food elsewhere.

Their best-selling prawn and mango fried roll tasted ordinary. The sweet and sour pork was tough. The fish was on the dry and tough side. The soup tasted bland. The rest was just 'mehhhh'. Though the place was nice and seeing all that food on the table was pretty, it just didn't really work for me. If they amped up the quality, then the P1008 order-all-you-can lunch menu would be something I'd look forward to.

Loved the fact that they reduced their buffet prices to Php800++ for dimsum all-you-can ... The choices are awesome. They give you a card that's a long checklist. Better be careful and ask which ones come in twos (two servings). Had to stuff myself to death.. Hahaha...

Not too fond of the taro items but the siomais, wraps, were wonderful! Mango pudding was great and crispy sesame balls as well... There's an option for a more expensive buffet which includes the roasts (and rice, I think, at Php1,000++) but either one is worth it. Not too fond of roasts or rice (especially when it's eat-all-you-can dimsum...!).

Great for lunch. It's like an experience of quality Chinese lauriat at quite an affordable price. They also have ginger ale soda which I love with my Chinese food (memories of Hong Kong trips when I was younger).

The food and ambiance was good.
The price is shocking...
We ordered the suckling pig which is super yummy... They serve it with pancake..
The tofu with truffle mushroom is also super ...
Chicken with almond ,fish with black beans , chicken with scallop soup , are so so... The waiters were kind enough to give us a slice of chocolate cake for the celebrant and fresh fruits..
Overall the food and ambiance is good. Wil go back for special occassions..

Told you this is our new fave Chinese resto! We celebrated my Aunt's birthday here last Sun.

Good thing the waitress, Karen, who was assigned to us was the same one who served us during the New Year! Mom was so happy to find out that the Yee Sang Salad was still available!

A new dish we tried was the Spareribs in Special Sauce. Karen said that the sauce was made of coffee. Sauce was delicious but wasnt as outstanding as the other dishes.

Mom was craving the Yee Sang Salad but unfortunately, the waiter was a bit confused and said that it was no longer available but I found out on our 3rd visit that it would still be available till the 15th!

Oh well, our trip wasn't a disappointment! Got to try new stuff!

Mushroom & Tofu:
you guys really have to try this! i dont know what or how they cooked the tofu but it was delicious!!!!!! soft and tasty!!! they didint scrimp on the mushrooms as the slices were huge!

XO fried rice:
one of their best sellers. of course, it's a bit spicy but they put the xo on the side so u can adjust the spicyness level

Cod Fish & Eggplant:
yum yum yum!!!! cod fish fillets - just the way I like my fish!!!

We ordered the Chinese New Year Special. Sorry but I dont know the exact names of the dishes.

Yee Sang Salad: (pic above)
a ritual is to be performed before eating this dish for good luck & prosperity. it had salmon, shredded papaya, veggies and a few other ingredients i do not know 128513

Hot Chicken Salad:
it's like hot prawn salad but they used chicken instead which was really good, too

Tofu Fried Rice W/ HKG Sausage:
MAN WAS THIS SOOOOOO GOOOD!!!!! Im telling you, fried rice = fried carbs = bad but OMIGOSH!!!! we ALL loooved this!!! THE BEST!!!!
too bad but i just found out recently that it's not part of their ala carte menu & will only be available till Feb15!!!! NOOOOO!!!!!! I cannot get over this fried rice!!!! hahaha!!!

We had other dishes like prawns, mushrooms, & fish but I cannot recall the names! Bottom line, they were all yummmmyyy!!!!

Friendly, fast & efficient!

Very clean & spacious. Chairs/sofas are comfy and big. Restrooms are easily accessible.

What a nice way to end 2013 by eating at this Restaurant! Since this is located inside a hotel(Solaire), the ambiance and furniture is very top notch!! No complains or whatsoever! Loved our table which is in a transparent room and located at the center of the resto! Awesome-nesssss!!! 128513128077

Nice thing here is that you can not only reserve before hand but also order your food in advance! Isn't that cool? 128513 Sadly I'm sooo disappointed that having that unique feature, they don't guarantee that the dishes you ordered in advance will be available on the date and time of reservation! WorTHless to have that! 128529128529128529

So we ordered their sweet and sour fish, Polonchay, Tofu Mushroom Hotpot, Fried Spareribs with A1 sauce and Pork Belly. General common comments for all dishes: small servings and very expensive! Despite those setbacks, the food is just 128076! Enough said! Of all the dishes, the spareribs has the best design of them all!

Servers know their food well and serve well! They are very attentive and always there to assist in your inquiries, orders or requests. They are so friendly that they like to mingle with is about anything! So we talked about who is the owner of the place and that he's eating with his family at the table over there, how the prices are so high during its grand opening( 1k for a plate of Yang Chow 128561) etc.

I would definitely be back here BUT during special occasions only or if I have friends who want to eat good Chinese food and is willing to spend for the price. Happy 2014 to all!

Dim Sum Lunch. Excellent and authentic dim sum. Unlimited for only P880+ / pax . Great place, however, service is slow that you are left hanging at times

Red Lantern is where modern Cantonese cuisine takes center stage in Solaire. It has the most extensive menu, offering way more dishes as compared to Yakumi, Strip Steakhouse and Finestra.

The only shades used all over the restaurant are the main Chinese lucky colors such as gold, red, and yellow, mixed with some black touch to add a semi-contemporary look.

And what would a restaurant called Red Lantern be if it didn’t have red lanterns hanging all over its ceiling, right? Their take on the lanterns is more stylish and modern looking.

they also have a number of function rooms covered in Chinese calligraphy, for large groups that want privacy.

Red Lantern Signature Barbecued Pork Belly
• For some reason, the redness at the bottom of the pork belly chops gave me the impression that they were cooked slowly and perfectly. And I was right. The fat to meat ratio of each slice is good too. The only problem I have with this is that I think it’s too salty.

Hong Kong Roasted Duck
♥ One of the least oiliest roasted duck I’ve had.

Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet
♥ Mildly flavored, and I like the touch of fresh strawberry chunks! except I’m sure I can get the same sweet and sour fish fillet quality with a way cheaper price elsewhere.

Deep Fried Prawns with Golden Garlic and Black Beans
• Aside from the presentation, this tasted just like an ordinary deep fried prawns dish you can get at any Chinese restaurant.

Deep Fried Marinated Pork Spare Ribs in Homemade Hua Mei Plum Sauce
• Being under the Chef Chan’s Signature Dishes category, I honestly expected a lot from this. When it was placed on the table, my first thoughts were just “uhm okay breaded pork spare ribs”. Even the presentation was too simple. The Hua Mei Plum Sauce wasn’t anything spectacular, the spare ribs were really tender though, but there was something lacking in the flavor. Unforgettable dish.

Japanese Sea Cucumber Stuffed with Seafood Paste
♥ Tasted fresh, seemed like it was cooked well, and the sauce really played a big role in adding delicious flavor to it.

Deep Fried Crispy Chicken
♥ My favorite dish of the night and the one in the picture! I enjoyed both just snacking on this alone, and mixing it with rice as well. You know that line that goes “winner winner, chicken dinner” ? This is probably the chicken they were referring to. The steep price for what would seem like just some plain chicken tenders was worth it because of how light, crunchy, tasty and just overall delicious this is! A MUST order in Red Lantern!

Deep Fried Pancake with Red Bean Paste
♥ I knew I was gonna like this the moment I smelled its fragrant and light aroma… Mildly sweet... Chewy dough... And hot red bean paste filling! Yum!

Chilled Pomelo and Mango Sago
• Uhhh? Not a good idea for my taste buds!

Chilled Herb Jelly Gui Ling Gao
• You can pass on this dessert. everything on this plate is bland. I mean, I like my dessert exciting and full of flavor, but if you like yours boring and unforgettable, then order this.

Chilled Osmanthus Flower and Wolfberry with Aloe Vera
♥ I’m not going to lie, the terms “osmanthus” and “wolfberry” were what got me into ordering this. I just thought it sounded pretty. I really liked this a lot. Chewy jelly cubes mixed with some unique, floral tasting chilled soup!

I’d say that the worthiness of the amount we paid for Chinese food here in Red Lantern varies in every dish. Like, some were worthy of its high price tag, and then there’s some that made us wish we just ordered it in another place, we’d probably get better quality at a cheaper bargain. But what I really wanna give my two thumbs up to, is the service here in Red Lantern. It’s the best one amongst all the other signature restaurants in Solaire, no actually, it’s one of the best that I’ve encountered in all the food places I’ve been to. The servers are all extra cordial, and they always answer with “certainly”, they’re very alert, and they make sure that each table is attended to by a couple of waiters right away. Love the service and the interior of the place but food wise, it’s not really the best (not to mention cheapest) Chinese restaurant out there.

Celebrated my mom's 56th bday last Saturday for an overnight with family and relatives. To make it more special I treat mom to my dream resto which is the Red Lantern127860

Solaire has many fine dining restaurants like Fresh, Finestra, Lucky Noodles and Yakumi. But of all the resto there the Red Lantern is something I wanna try! For me it's the elegant and maybe I'm a fan of Chinese Cuisine.

I love it's red ambiance and perfect for my red outfit!128131128131128131. Wearing a deep v peplum red dress and red wedge shoes 128096.Perfect outfit for a perfect resto and occasion.

When you enter the entrance you will love the waterfalls on the corner. Then the resto was spacious and the spacious tables catch my attention and the plates as well 127860

Glad that one of their waiters guide me on the best food selection. Here are the foods that we ordered:

Crispy chicken- 750
Dimsum sampler-508.93
Sweet and sour pork-589.29
XO yang chow fried rice-696.43
1efu noodles- 625.00
Spareribs spicy -651.79
Extra plain rice--160.71
Total of almost 5,000pesos

The crispy chicken is our favorite here and the sweet and sour pork and spareribs and xo yang chow fried rice.

The service was good. Last but not the least the staffs sing a bday song for mom and even gave mom a slice of bday cake 127856

The cake was really good. I taught my bill will be 10,000 pesos but glad I only pay half of it! I'm not only paying for the good here but also the service and ambiance.

Thanks Red Lantern for making a great dinner celebration for my mom. Kudos!128077

Went to Solaire two Fridays ago to finally try Red Lantern with my family! The place was really fancy (fancier than Passion, IMO) and really, really nice! Service was superb!

I think (if I remember right, and forgive me for some misses because I was Zoë's yaya for the night so I wasn't able to take note of everything we ordered) we started the night with Peking Duck, two-way, it being the lettuce + ground duck meat. I insisted. Lol. It was amazing!!! I think I overed my limit because I downed 4 wraps. Everybody else was "watching what they were eating" so I grabbed what they didn't want! MINSAN LANG TO NO!:)) (Ok, ok, forever in my hips, I know.)

My dad special-ordered our rice. The scallop fried rice wasn't in their menu so we had to ask the chef to make it for us. They agreed! We were soooo happy! I'm used to the saltier, more textured scallop fried rice from another place but theirs wasn't so bad! At the very least, the scallops were fresh!:) I liked it!

Well, I only remembered ordering their Pork Spare Ribs with Red Lantern Sauce, which turned out okay-tasting but a little bit dry. They said the red lantern sauce was a coffee-based sauce, but I just tasted a hint (or maybe just smelled it) of the coffee. I wasn't able to eat more than a bite or two because I was chasing around the kids.

And then there was the prime beef ribs (i think) with black pepper sauce. This one was really, really soft and flavorful! I loved it so much I didn't have to eat it with the rice.

I think they also ordered fish and something else but I wasn't there to see it because I was out running after the bulilits.

But so far, my whole dining experience was really good! A bit pricey, but I do hope to spend the next "special occasion" here with my family.

And may I mention, we ate everything FOR FREE??? (Too bad Sheldon G wasn't there to experience this with me)
