1st time in Refinery’s newest branch in Salcedo, Makati. Arrived in the place at half past 9 in the morning. The place has tasteful and modern interiors. Lighting is perfect! I enjoyed every space and angle.

Its actually a bar at night time, evidenced by liquors all over the place. Its the first thing I had in mind when I was asked what want for breaky. Thanks to IG128522their Smoked Bacon And Toast looks so good!

Wish granted, i had their Smoked Belly and Toast. It is served with crispy bacon, scrambled egg, toast and crispy sliced potato wedges. And I had Flatewhite, which is also good. My company, got himself a Four Cheese Omelette. Its highly recommended also.

Verdict: its a hearty all day breakfast meal. I enjoyed everything I had. Service is great, water is served upon seating.

Saw the other day that Refinery is now at Salcedo which means near my turf 128154 I have quite an expectation about this place so we decided to swing by today to have some breakfast.

The place is just 4 days in operation and for now, you can enjoy a serene breakfast. My sister and I were the only ones there when we arrived at 8am. We ordered their bacon french toast and the morning after. Partnered with vanilla latte and salted caramel latte. Considering we’re the only one that’s at their place during that time we were not informed at how long we have to wait for our order. We had our coffee at decent 7-8 mins from order which is great cause first thing’s first and that is coffee. But our meal arrived past 25 mins. I get that the bibingka takes time but for the french toast to take that long 128532 Quite disappointing tbh. We had to follow up for it, before they made an action. Well, maybe it’s because they’re just in their opening week that’s why adjustments needs to be done.

Anyhow, their food is great. The thing that attracted me the most on their “The Morning After” is the bibingka souffle. Oh how it really feels like Christmas!! It was soft and the salted egg is sitting right at the bottom. Then syrup though should be caramel doesn’t taste like pne though. It’s more condensed milk for me. Crispy potatoes and quite a hefty bacon slab. The bacon slab is bigger than that of Wildflour’s and is a little sweeter. The bacon french toast was okay as per my sister. It was of good serving, especially that bowl of whip cream and generous bacon inside.

Vanilla latte was good but like the caramel syrup, the salted caramel latte didn’t taste like salted caramel at all. Not even a hint of the salted part. But it’s still a good cup just that there’s no wow factor. Even during bill out, it took a while before we had our change. My sister had to go to their counter to ask for her take out coffee and the change.

Overall, the place is charming and can easily be a good dinner spot with their wine offers. Their breakfast meal is served until 5pm. And their place in Salcedo is easily accessible near Gino’s. The service could definitely be improved. Price wise, it’s around that of Wildflour’s.
