Had a great experience dining here despite some bad dishes. We enjoyed the paella they raved about, also the tuna. The aligue pasta was sinful but good and the crispy pata went well with the pakbet that had generous bagoong flavor if you like it that way128517. Everything we had here was good except for the sisig which was described as "crispy sisig" but came out as soggy as possible. The servers heard us discussing how the plate wasn't sizzling hot enough since the egg drop was taking quite a while to get cooked but they ignored it anyway. The bicol express was terrible btw. Nice place, a good choice to dine in when tagaytay is packed already.

Casual dining with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were extremely attentive and courteous, always a must when we explore and dine. I highly recommend their Salmon, cooked well, firm, and chewy. This is sort of a preference as I've mostly had salmon cooked by restaurants too soft and would break apart when handled with the fork. The salmon miso is also a great dish. Very well priced given the taste and the amount of food you will get.

While waiting for our food to arrive, we took the liberty to stroll around the back area and everything in this restaurant, be it interior or exterior is true to its theme.
We loved the Cheese Pizza, their carbonara and most especially the Fillet Mignon Steak. The steak was so tender and delicious I didn't have any hard time finishing it by myself. 9786
Will I go back? In a heartbeat, yes. 128522

When my dad doesn't feel like going all the way up to Tagaytay to eat, we always end up eating here. You'll love the cozy ambiance of this restaurant. It looks classy but the prices of their food are just right. Perfect for family eat out. They serve Filipino and Spanish food so you have plenty of options. From the usual bulalo and tawilis to paellas, pastas and steaks. 128523

I love their fillet mignon and linguine al pesto. 128069 Their bulalo steak is also a must try. For the pizza, their Spanish sardines pizza is good and unique. Their iced tea tastes different but good. 128514

The waiters were accomodating but the waiting time for the food is long especially when they're packed.128559 Nevertheless, I will always go back here to try their other dishes. 128077

Finally tried here before going back home from staycation. The owner of this resto used to be my husband's workmate when he was still working here and she keeps on promoting this place. We were in the mood for pizza pasta so we got 3-Cheese Pizza, Carbonara, Buffalo Wings and Iced Mocha and it was all good! Pizza was extra thin so it's extra crispy128076🏻 Carbonara was very tasty and with lots of ham love this! Buffalo wings was sweet a bit tangy no need for dip. Servings were all good for sharing and prices were reasonable. The staffs here were all initiative in our needs and very accomodating128077🏻 Will come back here for their rice dishes 128522

Before we headed back home from Tagaytay, we passed by this place called Rekados.

We were quite unsure as to where we wanted to have lunch on our way back. We just had to trust our instincts and voila! Rekados popped out of nowhere, saving our hungry tummies 128557

Actually, what really caught our attention was Rekados' façade. It resembled the rustic-y, Kastila-conquered days of the Philippines. It made me feel like Maria Clara even if I was wearing shorts hahaha

✔️ Ambience - from the description above, it was fairly awesome! LOL

✔️ Food - I loved their Crispy Kare-Kare sauce. It tasted a whole lot like my mom's super epic Kare-Kare. Seldom have I encountered restaurant-cooked Kare-Kare that has sauce that would really taste like peanuts or peanut butter. Usually, it's 50% oil and 50% others with a hint of peanut butter 128557128514 Also, their Bulalo Steak was really good too! The beef was super soft and the gravy was just heavenly.

✔️ Staff - friendly but they kinda work slow. We had to wait for 30 minutes after ordering for our food to arrive. Luckily, they give complementary salted peanuts which tasted pretty awesome.

They also have a pasalubong shop called Balai Pasalubong and they sell almost everything from buko pies with leche flan (yep, I know. Sound appetizing. I have yet to try that one) to gummy bears and marshmallows 128514128557

"Where romance and good food met"

A fil-spanish themed restaurant located at the heart of the south before you reach Tagaytay. The restaurant fits well with the environment as it is surrounded by handicraft shops. It has a spacious land for the al fresco dining that can also cater special occasions as it has a garden area. Environment, ambiance and the feels are all matched! Oh, I suggest you visit them for dinner, extra romantic!! Fresh, chilly air then a bit dimmed lightings.
About their food, they really added a twist on every popular filipino and spanish dishes. I highly recommend their Paella, one of the best that I've had in my life! Their rice is also exceptional! You won't have that in some common restaurants. I can eat it even without any viand! =)) another thing about the resto that I love about is their pasalubong/delicacy store. Balai Pasalubong and Gatas Station. Their tarts and buko pie are yuuuuuuum. Can't resist it. They have this buko pie-leche flan. Not your ordinary buko pie.
Rekados is a MUST try/visit when you're around the area.

Good food and great ambience. Must visit their nearby pasalubong shop called Balai, the buco pie is wow. Had grilled salmon here for lunch. Find this when cruising the Tagaytay Sta Rosa Hi way on your left towards Tagaytay.

The place had a nice ambience. Food is great! We ordered baby back ribs, salpicao, lengua and squid appetizer. Their house blend iced tea tastes like it has some honey in it. They have an airconditioned and al fresco area options. Our children loved the big chess table and piano while waiting for our order to be served. They also have lunch set options that you can avail. Price is just right for their food options.

Really love this place.
As a continuation of bday celeb with family this time

We ordered salmon belly in miso, crispy karekare, pork binagoongan, bicol express

The miso was really good.. Orangy and has a good serving of salmon bellies.. Totally fatty and tasty

The bicol express was mildly hot.. Thick sauce siya

The pork binagoongan was also delicious, you surely would order rice with this dish

The kare kare.. Oh i loved it also. Just don't dorget to add the bagoong.

As a result, we took out another order of pork binagoongan.

Service was ever good.. Ambiance better than ever.. It was rainy outside coz of the bagyong luis.
But inside was calm and cozy... Again preemce of the singing waiter kinda makes it off.. :)

I was at first inclined into finding another new dining place along tagaytay-sta. rosa when i passed by rekados... The memories of my last dining here was so memorable i have to make a U-turn along the road.

I knew that their aircon was not functioning the moment i entered. So i decided to dine outside... It was way cooler outside.

I ordered their pescado (fish) with tomato sauce, capers and sun dried tomatoes.. The fish was breaded extra ordinarily, i just wish it was a bit less breaded. But then it was still great.

The ambiance is really good... Wala kasi tao mashado... So all the while i was eating nakabantay sila sa akin... Haha... Btw i discovered their super cool faucet... It's separated from the CR So dont look for faucet near the CR... Faucet was designed like the poso.

Anyway, 5 for me, crew/ service was courteous/ fast. It's just that outside.. Has a lot of friendly insects.. I mean beetles... Good thing it did not get into my plate.

The road to Tagaytay is teeming with filipino restos and rekados is one of the best place!

See the interior... I would like to describe the place as one of the 'unadulterated' place.

I ordered
chicken al ajilo... Sabi with wine but i ddnt taste it. I really liked the salty taste of the sauce... Bagay sa rice. My order comes with the iced tea

Clam chowder: tasty... And full or veggie and clam bits!

Sangria... Served lukewarm... How i wish it was served cold. Apple and orange hints.

Wala aku masabi sa place. Love it. Pde pang dinner dates. Service was fast, but the server was singing along the background music. Mejo Panira lng sa ambiance.

I would bring my family here.
